Welcome to the Bus! Smile

I'm Mouse and you'll find me snuggled sat at the back where it's warmest!

If you're sober, drinking, or somewhere between the two, you are more than welcome on board.

No judging, no cliquey groups and no closed minds here, oh no! Chances are, no matter how bad you may be feeling right now, one of the Brave Babes will have been there too!

So, come say hi.

Hd this response from a poster

"my situation is that I take responsibility for my own choices and don't blame society/culture/men for them. Clearly that offends you

I love all this talk about hippies and shamans - I'm in good company! Thanks for your relaxation tips Silver, always a good way to start meditating I find. Actually I'm not sure if I do meditate, I find it very easy to go into a kind of trance-state and can feel quite blissful! A bit like being off your tits on E but 100% natural! God I miss those days sometimes. But not the 3 day come-down hangovers...

Actually that's got me thinking. I'd be in terrible trouble if drugs were legalised, at least I only have alcohol to contend with. I was always crap at scoring so only ever indulged when someone else got the stuff. But I loved what it did to me. What do you all think about the "war on drugs"? Is legalisation the answer?

evening - bit calmer here!, df actually apologised Shock for the way he spoke to me - a bit of a breakthrough i can tell you!

ma!, you are a decent person, thats why you are doing what you can for your df - to have compassion for someone who you have ambvilivant feelings for shows you up to be a kind, nice woman - i hope you feel a bit better about everything in the morning and treat yourself a bit gently!

dipso - considering my appalling track record with men i wouldnt dream of giving you advice! Grin except to say dont have his name tattooed on your bum just yet! Grin

anyway, must be off to bed, hope you all, including all the babies, have a quiet nights sleep!!

btw, tomorrow night is my meeting at the house of lords and ive just realised i have no sodding tights!, they appear to be in varying stages of decay in dds underwear drawer!! Angry, i saw a fridge magnet in a shop once which said 'mothers of teenagers realise why some animals eat their young!' Grin gawd, its a bloody good job we love 'em!!

venusandmars · 16/11/2010 22:30

wasindie I like to think of myself as graceful and ethereal like this but in reality I am probably more like this. Scarily though, I look a wee bit like the picture you posted Shock

lucilastic · 16/11/2010 22:31

Hi Babes, just popping in to say hi. Have been preoccupied with DD2 over the last couple of weeks.
I have had a couple of (not too bad but not too great) lapses but overall I am surviving.
Am off to read the previous threads.
Hello and welcome to all the newbies. You are in a supportive, safe place here.

venus!, i do actually picture you like the first one!

venusandmars · 16/11/2010 22:33

JWN I can't believe you wear tights. Stockings surely daaahling - 'specialy for the House of Lords.

venusandmars · 16/11/2010 22:34

luci lovely to see you again. It will take you MONTHS to read all the posts.

jesuswhatnext · 16/11/2010 22:35

hmm, ive always realised that i need to stay well away from drugs - i was hopelessly addicted to nicotine really quickly and the same is true for the booze if im honest - i imagine that i could become well and truly hooked on anything else just as easily.

jesuswhatnext · 16/11/2010 22:36

venus - Grin, yes i do have the stockings aswell but my dress is quite 'bodycon' so i figured tights would be best!

'bodycon' is a dress which is very fitted on an hour-glass shape figure - its very flattering if you make sure you have the right 'suck it all in' knickers!! Grin

venusandmars · 16/11/2010 22:50

On a logical / rational basis I'd say legalise some drugs - reduce the incentive for organised crime / trafficking (of drugs and people) and increase the tax income, also some drugs are less harmful than alcohol.

But, as someone with the particular madness that is alcoholism, I am glad that other drugs are not legalised. I have never been a smoker, and my friends are more into running up mountains or blissing out on meditation, so I don't have ready access to drugs. In my younger days I steered away from drugs because I worried about knowing how much was in it - at least with alcohl I the labeling was clear, with drugs you had no idea what you would be taking.

I have eaten 'a funny little cake' but I was a bit scared to see that 3 of us were having exactly the same physical manfestations. If it was legalised I am sure I would try it, and I would worry that my particular madness (currently limited to alcohol) would extend and expand.

jesuswhatnext · 16/11/2010 22:50

and with that im off to bed!!

see you tomorrow!!

L XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

jesuswhatnext · 16/11/2010 22:53

btw - mad parents, the legalisation of drugs, childhood reflux, the power of meditation and 'bodycon' dresses - dont let anyone tell us we are boring now we dont drink!! Grin, conversation does not get much more diverse!
