Welcome to the Bus! Smile

I'm Mouse and you'll find me snuggled sat at the back where it's warmest!

If you're sober, drinking, or somewhere between the two, you are more than welcome on board.

No judging, no cliquey groups and no closed minds here, oh no! Chances are, no matter how bad you may be feeling right now, one of the Brave Babes will have been there too!

So, come say hi.

MIFLAW for some reason I thought Jnr was due in Nov. No idea why! Poor Mrs MIFLAW. Is she fed up already?!

Dipso · 16/11/2010 10:58

MIFLAW you don't post that often but your posts sure reach the parts that other posts don't reach.

MIFLAW · 16/11/2010 10:59

SleepFairy

Not sleeping for a couple of nights won't kill you.

Drinking might, and it is the nature of the beast that you cannot count on a warning. (I nearly mowed down a drunk bloke crossing the road last night. I wound down my window to tell him what I thought of him and, embarrassingly enough, realised I knew him from AA! Anyway, luckily for us both, this time I didn't kill him.)

Really glad to hear you made the right choice yesterday. Hope today goes okay for you.

RedMoomin · 16/11/2010 10:59

Hi dipso how are things with you?

Mouseface · 16/11/2010 11:21

Wasindie - DT2 has reflux!?????? Oh my God, you poor, poor things.

Is she on any meds? Nemo is on 4 currently. None are working as yet but it's less than a week since he was put back on them all.

And yes, STOP PICKING UP WOMAN!!!!!

You do seem to get into a cycle if you don't mind me saying. What is your trigger? Your main one? Is it the tiredness?

You do so well and then puff! As if by magic your resolve not to drink vanishes. Sorry if you think I'm being mean, I'm just trying to understand so I can maybe help? Smile

OP posts:
biancacb · 16/11/2010 11:25

Wasindie - is it bad reflux? We found for both ds's that gaviscon powders really helped. Not that it was ever really bad reflux though.

Mouseface · 16/11/2010 11:40

Gavisocn infant, Lanzaprozole, Domperidone, and Metoclopromide currently feature in my day of medications administered for Nemo.

I firmly believe the only reason he has been put on the meds without the hospital test (we were told no meds without tests) is to 'keep shouty mummy sweet' whilst his consultant swans off on another 3 week holiday.

I do hope you are getting some kind of support Wasindie with the reflux.

just here for a quick rant!! (sorry!), things are going from bad to worse here - im now in the middle of a humdinger of a row with my father!, im so fucking angry that i can feel the tears prickling the back of my eyes! - its all to do with dd and her fucking trust fund - i have been totally sidelined and my views appear to count for nothing Angry - this one is going to rumble on for sometime and i need to get a grip - just another example of my parents treating me as a stupid immature child! Angry

take no notice of me!! Grin, just ranting on here has helped!! Grin

see you later my lovley babes!!

Mouseface · 16/11/2010 11:47

FFS JWN - rant away!! Never think that you can't come onto the thread and shout about real life!

I do it often enough. And if it stops you, well, any of us, from picking up a drink then hey, that has to be a great thing surely?

And FWIW, families can be a right PITA!!! Especially over things like this.

Stay strong xx

wasindie your own mother refuses to acknowledge your DP and her own grandchildren?! What the fuck is wrong with some people? I am sorry that you have to deal with that kind of crap. And you will be a better parent than that, I have no doubt.

JWN rant on lovely. Sounds like you are having a tough time of it.

Mouseface · 16/11/2010 11:59

Wasindie - we were told the same with the reflux, 'it'll go when he starts to crawl, sits up, stands, eats (he's non oral so has never had solid food) etc, etc....

My advice would be to make sure (and I'm sure you AND DP will!) you keep on at the 'powers that be' to give her all that she can have to relieve the symptons and pain. Stay in the 'system' until you are completely satisfied it's gone.

jesuswhatnext · 16/11/2010 12:03

thanks all!! (specally my little mouse!)

i think half the trouble is that my dps forget that I AM HER MOTHER!!!, time to remind them i think - also not looking forward to telling dh about it all as it winds him like a bloody firework!!

wasindi - she dosnet recognise your babies!! Sad - what a stupid woman!!

btw, there wouldnt be a problem i have hadnt sorted out the fucking fund in teh first place!!! Angry

Mouseface · 16/11/2010 12:13

X posted Wasindie - I am really sad for you. What an awful way to behave towards your own flesh and blood.

Is it because your DP is of the non male variety? Grin

Seriously though, she should suck it up and behave decently for the sake of the DTs. I hope that she does at the funeral.

What a shame to miss out on two beautiful little angels growing up, buying pretty little gifts for them, baking with them, knitting and sewing. Drawing at the kitchen table with them, making things, getting messy in the garden planting flowers and taking them out for the day.

My mum is the best grandma Nemo and DD could have for doing things with them. Teaching them and loving them just as much as she can even though she has MS. As is DH's mum.

Surely, that's what grandma's are for?

If she has a beef with your life choices, that's her problem, but she shouldn't take it out on your DTs. Sad

Lovely post mouse re the wasindie family. I was kind of trying to get that point across too but it came out a bit sweary and cross!

RedMoomin · 16/11/2010 12:18

Almost home time for me, yay! FB will be 'home' soon too Wink

Hope that everyone has a good day.

Mouseface · 16/11/2010 12:21

No-one likes a show off Red! Grin

Just because you are off home for some ahem, 'lunch' Wink you don't have to brag about it!! Grin

Have a lovely afternoon. Hope that XH sorts himself out sooner rather than later and just gets on with what needs to happen.

See you tomorrow xx

OP posts:
RedMoomin · 16/11/2010 12:22

Grin You do make me laugh mouse!

biancacb · 16/11/2010 12:27

OMG I am so [cross] for you wasindie - what an utter bloody nightmare. Deep breaths I suppose and as little contact as possible so she can't wind you up...

JWN do you think they will ever change? MIL here seems to think that she knows everything about everything with raising boys even though her two are pretty prime fucked up specimens... o'h and the last time she parented a 4yr old was ooooh let me see, 37yrs ago Grin

And yes those of you stuck in the system keep on shouting. Nowhere nearly as serious but ds2 was born at 34 weeks and in SCBU - but we were supposed to be in st george's and got shunted down to epsom as our scbu was closed with an infection. I had to be the shouty one to even get him delivered on the day we were sent down there (we were told that as it was 430pm they couldn't deliver him till the next day Hmm), and then I had to fight to get him progressing as he should have been (they would have had him in there till term if they had their way), to get him transferred back to st georges, where they said he's big (2.1kg), he's healthy, you can obviously cope, please take him home, we have 24 weekers in here and we would like a cot for one of them Grin. My, admittedly, very roundabout, point, is that you know your child best, you know what is best, and you have to keep shouting and shouting and shouting to be heard, and not be treated as another neurotic mum who doesn't know her arse from her elbow.

sorry. hope that helped Grin

Fortheverylasttime · 16/11/2010 12:43

WasIndie, that is not on. I can only charitably assume that that is a product of her age and upbringing. My Grandfather didn't speak to his son ever because he got divorced {shock!!). The world has moved on since then. Rise above it if you can. I hope for her own sake that your mother softens.

Fortheverylasttime · 16/11/2010 12:46

Don't make it a fight, Wasindie, because being in the right should be enough for you. This is your time to enjoy your bubs.

Wasindie - I know what you mean with that slightly unsavoury chap. I have never been more protective of anything in my entire life as I am about my children.

I'd give them my last breath. As I'm sure, any of us would.

(not my children, obviously your own) Grin
