Welcome to the Bus! Smile

I'm Mouse and you'll find me snuggled sat at the back where it's warmest!

If you're sober, drinking, or somewhere between the two, you are more than welcome on board.

No judging, no cliquey groups and no closed minds here, oh no! Chances are, no matter how bad you may be feeling right now, one of the Brave Babes will have been there too!

So, come say hi.

Well lovely Babes, almost time for me to go home. Been quite manic here today but managed quite a few posts nonetheless Wink

I hope that everyone has lovely evenings!

jesuswhatnext · 11/11/2010 16:45

bye red!!, have a nice evening!!Wink

ZanyWany · 11/11/2010 16:48

Plenty of Fish, feels a bit desperate to go on a dating site but need a big self esteem boost these days after an emotional abusive XP.

RedMoomin · 11/11/2010 16:54

zany not desperate just proactive and that's a good thing. I know quite a few people who met through dating sites and are now happily married. Good for you! (And I am glad that he's an XP by the way.)

CJCregg · 11/11/2010 17:12

zany not desperate at all! I met my DDDDDDDDDDP on a dating site and I totally lurve him. Best thing I ever did Grin

(PS did it sober, too! Very useful for preventing the 'oh well, I might as well' demon when pissed Wink)

jesuswhatnext · 11/11/2010 17:15

zany - one of my cousins met her dh on line - 3 dcs and and 8 years later they are very happy!!

Mouseface · 11/11/2010 17:38

Zany - I don't think dating sites are such a taboo anymore. Not like in the olden days! Grin

Or 'wanted' ads in newspapers! I used to love reading them to see if I'd go out with anyone! I was never brave enough to try it myself but do know of 2 couples that met that way and they're still together.

ZanyWany · 11/11/2010 18:15

Thank you guys, silly really as it's more responsible than meeting a drunken bloke on a night ouy as you can chat/email first. Still find myself saying I have a date though work though Grin

Definately an XP although I did stupidly get back together for a bit in the summer.

Oh well we will and learn

ZanyWany · 11/11/2010 18:20

I mean Oh well we live and learn

Mouseface · 11/11/2010 18:42

Zany - for a 'bit' of what in the summer? Wink

Ignore me, I am the smutty one on the bus, any excuse! Grin

dementedma · 11/11/2010 19:07

hi guys
wild and windy here and got to go and pick up DD2 from choir rehearsals. how can someone with the voice of an angel live in a bedroom like a shit hole???
Am very tired tonight - lots of problems this week on the home front and some serious arguments with DH re money - the lack of - and sex - ditto.
feel a bottle of wine calling me ......help!

witchetychicky · 11/11/2010 19:25

Likewise dementedma though I have just myself to argue with - actually that's not true, just had Ex on phone pissed and wanting to pick a fight with me....not sure how this evening is going to go.
Hope you manage Ok - maybe the urge won't be so strong after you have done the taxiing.

BBwannaB · 11/11/2010 19:50

Hey dementedma don't let the tiredness drag you down the wine road, can you give into it with an early night, comfort food, hot choc, hotty bottle etc? Think how much more tired you will feel tomorrow if you have a hangover to contend with.
I know what you mean about the bedrooms - my DD used to go out with her friends looking absolutely immaculate - but her bedroom Shock

notevenasparkler · 11/11/2010 19:53

I just wrote a really long post and lost it all!!!

Fortheverylasttime · 11/11/2010 19:55

What a bugger, Noteven. Just post a quickie to let us know you are ok.

ZanyWany · 11/11/2010 20:15

How's it going dementedma

notevenasparkler · 11/11/2010 20:32

Thank you forthe.
I'm ok. Drank two glasses of wine after DD was in bed. I stupidly bought it on the way home. Poured the rest away. It went to my head surprisingly fast considering this time last week it wouldn't have.

Since then, have spoken to my DP, who I have been with for 15 months and had our first argument last night when he was over here. The reason for drinking? - maybe - though I think work stress is more likely which is a shame and a problem as that is less fix-able.

However despite the two glasses of wine I think I put my point across for why I was upset fairly, and acknowledged when I was being unreasonable.

It could have been worse than two glasses - though I intend it to be none.

I also want to thank venus for the post this morning - I was a but hungry and a lot angry - and maybe that could have prevented it - I will definitely use your advice from now. I guess I can say - I stopped now, so I can carry on with my sewing and my book and hopefully feel ok for work in the morning and also say that it would be better if I was not drinking at all. But tomorrow is day 1 again...

Thank you for all your support :)

ZanyWany · 11/11/2010 20:34

You've still done really well thoug and you only had 2 glasses, massive willpower to throw the rest away

notevenasparkler · 11/11/2010 20:36

And mouse I still have a bonfire night name because my DP is having abonfire night this weekend when he has his DC, and his family are coming. But my original name - notevenamousie - is a Christmas name 'Twas the night before Christmas combined with dd's petname - mousie :)

Fortheverylasttime · 11/11/2010 20:37

Hey! Noteven, 2 glasses is very good. Really pleased that you posted. HALT (hungry, angry, lonely, tired) is a good signpost, not just for people who like to describe themselves as alcoholic, but, funnily enough,

Fortheverylasttime · 11/11/2010 20:38

Mice!!!!

Fortheverylasttime · 11/11/2010 20:40

... funnily enough, it works for people who suffer from conditionus humanus.

notevenasparkler · 11/11/2010 20:41

Just popping in to say night night everyone. I've got a feeling I may be posting tomorrow night as a distraction, if you get my drift!

Hope everyone has had a good day and a dry evening!!
