pinksmarties · 08/11/2010 00:11

Too tired to groove Happy and Tea I've never ever considered getting one. I've never even seen one. It dosen't appeal, never has, maybe I'm missing out though.... ? Cold, hard plastic....seems like a DIY smear test....shudder.

littlecritter · 08/11/2010 03:45

I'm so sorry, ladies. I've just read all your posts and you've made me realise that OW is nothing and I need to let go now. I need to look after me.

I fell asleep shortly after my last post and I've only just woken up. I'm still at DD's.

Thank you all for being so kind and telling me off in a nice way. What was I thinking? I'll be back later. I'm so genuinely grateful to you all. I don't know how to thank you all properly. x

littlecritter · 08/11/2010 03:59

Do you know what's really eating into me? That xp could choose an ow who is so horrible. What does that make me? How could he be attracted to someone who would leave their own daughter? I feel like their affair makes me have something in common with her. She's botoxed up to the eyeballs and I'm happy with my Laura Mercia tinted moisturiser. She wore thigh high boots and leggings to ds's football presentation. What did/does he see in her?

gettingeasier · 08/11/2010 07:17

LC the choices your xp made were his and say nothing about you and everything about him. In a similar way everyone has said why did my xh choose his ow, in so many ways she is a puzzling choice. I have been helped by it though because I see it as part of how messed up he is and have never felt threatened by her or had my esteem rocked by being replaced by someone fabulous iyswim ?

Enjoyed catching up with the thread last night made me smile on a cold wet dark morning.

Sorry you are feeling low Starting you have been having a great phase

Pink you are funny !

Karmann sorry to hear that happened to you as and when you are ready you can let us help I hope Smile

Citydoll its bound to be a vile time for a while now your xh has finally gone but you will get through- keep posting.

Well the dreams are back, god I hate them.

I dont know how I feel atm. Its like yes the raw pain has gone and I 100% wouldnt go back to where I was but I am left feeling a bit blank. Like I dont know what to do with my head after a year of having it occupied by all the upset and anxiety.

There are times when I get so tired of the constant need to work at recovery, to be doing this that and the other to feel ok. I know I need to be patient though and more to the point grateful that the worst has subsided.

I cant remember a time where I just woke up and lived and trotted through a day without a care. Be patient Getting !

Waves to all and I hope your mornings arent like this one yuk

Citydoll · 08/11/2010 08:11

Well, I got through the first day - eyes are swollen from crying and lack of sleep; face looks like a train wreck but I am already at work! As the saying goes, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step....." and today is my first step.

Thanks for all the hugs and good wishes.

gettingeasier · 08/11/2010 08:20

Have a good day Citydoll - does work know or will you have to remove train wreck face for I am ok face ?

Citydoll · 08/11/2010 08:41

gettingeasier - thanks for good wishes. Work has been a true sanctuary in the last 6 months and my fellow directors and most of my senior team are aware of the situation so I do not have to pretend too much today, thank goodness.

Dorisfrombarry · 08/11/2010 09:56

web link to it for others

OP posts:
Dorisfrombarry · 08/11/2010 10:11

Hi Tea,

Thanks. How did you do that?

Teaandcakeplease · 08/11/2010 10:26

Below the "Add your message here" box is some text on the right that tells you how to do it:

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the web address (URL) surrounded by and . So type www.mumsnet.com to display a link like www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at this page", would display "Look at this page."
