Even if you don't have a leg(?), a life or a clue, Welcome to the first ever 85th Archers thread! Smile

Wild speculation and sensible questions always welcome - especially any newcomers.

A little game for the weekend, inspired by Timetogetup0630 and Gruach on the last thread:

Invent an explanation for how your username was the inspiration for an Archers storyline, character, etc - be creative!

My username is telling the story of Toby, Adam and Ian, although it probably needs some punctuation: Dad! Dad/Dad? Grin

dairyfarmerswife - bit too easy for you, but as professional country folk maybe you could judge the winner? Star

Credit to MrsGrindah for the clever thread title

Oh hello DadDadDad a little psychic connection there !

AgnesSkinner · 23/02/2018 21:43

I’ve listened again - Nic said “I’ve been so bad” and I couldn’t catch the rest, then Joe saying she was mixed up up and it must be the medicine, and then beeeeep.

Timetogetup0630 · 23/02/2018 21:43

Welcome back PseudoBadger !

DadDadDad · 23/02/2018 21:43

Pseudo - it's you! Are you going to do the honours with thread 86?

Bloody Ocado man turned part way through and I only realised what was happening at the end.

PseudoBadger · 23/02/2018 21:45

I can, but only if you like the title Wink

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 23/02/2018 21:47

Bloody hell

DadDadDad · 23/02/2018 21:52

Pseudo - beat me to it. Good to have you back in the chair.

I don't find all the awareness about it hugely useful though, how on earth are you supposed to know if it's flu (or whatever) or sepsis? It seems that by the time the symptoms show it's too late!

There have been some threads about it recently. Seems there is some stuff that is specific to sepsis, cold hands and feet, heart palpitations, feeling of utter dread, very very quick deterioration. Some good info on Sepsis Trust. And just knowing it can come from small cuts, checking them for signs of infection, red lines going towards your heart and such.

DadDadDad · 23/02/2018 21:56

New thread, Sheepy!

Sorry! Was part way through reading and wanted to reply!

DadDadDad · 23/02/2018 22:08

No need to apologise, just didn't want you to be left talking to an empty room. Smile

I'll tidy up here, shall I? I suppose everyone's gone off with Pseudo.

"Pseudo, you're back!", "Oh, Pseudo, we love you", "Ooh, look Pseudo has started a new thread - let's all be best buddies with Pseudo", "Dad who?"

Yeah, everyone wants to be your friend when you are looking for a new thread title. They soon forget the old threads that you've tirelessly nurtured while a certain somebody enjoys their retirement.

And I bet someone's going to pop in and take post 1000 before I do, just to annoy me. Stab me in the back, why don't you?
