Even if you don't have a leg(?), a life or a clue, Welcome to the first ever 85th Archers thread! Smile

Wild speculation and sensible questions always welcome - especially any newcomers.

A little game for the weekend, inspired by Timetogetup0630 and Gruach on the last thread:

Invent an explanation for how your username was the inspiration for an Archers storyline, character, etc - be creative!

My username is telling the story of Toby, Adam and Ian, although it probably needs some punctuation: Dad! Dad/Dad? Grin

dairyfarmerswife - bit too easy for you, but as professional country folk maybe you could judge the winner? Star

Credit to MrsGrindah for the clever thread title

Or depress her...

Gruach · 23/02/2018 19:14

My God - did Nic run over Matt?

Bakedappleflavour · 23/02/2018 19:14

This is not something a person with health anxiety should listen to, I'll be convinced I've got sepsis every time I get a paper cut now

TheAntiBoop · 23/02/2018 19:14

I don't like this sl

VienneseFingers · 23/02/2018 19:16
Sad
MrsGrindah · 23/02/2018 19:16

Actually I don’t think I’ll make a good psychic

whyismykid · 23/02/2018 19:17

Blimey - well, that’s a public information message for us all...

Bekabeech · 23/02/2018 19:17

Do sad...

MrsGrindah · 23/02/2018 19:17

But if I’m ever knocking at deaths door I think I’d quite like Joe to hold my hand

whyismykid · 23/02/2018 19:17

I don’t fancy a few years of grieving Will - I can’t imagine it will improve his outlook on life...

BlaWearie · 23/02/2018 19:18

blimey! I wasn't expecting that!

TeenTimesTwo · 23/02/2018 19:18

Noooooo.

Not only have the killed off one of the nicest people in the village, I think they've just made her the hit and run driver that killed Matt.

How could they?

BikingBeatrix · 23/02/2018 19:18

Blimey, didn’t see that coming. I really thought she‘d recover. At least the BCC didn’t warn us this time. cf Nigel‘s demise - they are listening..

choccyp1g · 23/02/2018 19:19

I think the SW were mean making Nic nasty to Emma before killing her off.

EveEveEve · 23/02/2018 19:19

That was very smartly done - no warning leaving us as shocked as the...er...actors... I mean family....

Bakedappleflavour · 23/02/2018 19:20

Wait did she confess to running Matt over?! I missed that.

CallYourDadYoureInACult · 23/02/2018 19:20

I’m afraid I can’t stand Nic, and I can’t abide Will. So feel a bit meh about it.

However, really good to get info about sepia out there.

BoreOfWhabylon · 23/02/2018 19:20

Bastards!

Why couldn't it have been Pip?

Wonder if she has confessed to Joe that she mowed down Matt?

Very well acted. Made me cry, even though predicted it yonks back.

BikingBeatrix · 23/02/2018 19:21

With any luck Will will be rendered mute through grief.

Stillnotready · 23/02/2018 19:21

Well, poor Nic, I liked her. Will is going to an interesting character to watch as he deals with this. He is such an unpleasant person.
I wonder how this will work out.

Vango · 23/02/2018 19:23

Well I don’t know what to say..Sad

CallYourDadYoureInACult · 23/02/2018 19:23

Will will find a way to blame Ed and Emmur

Stillnotready · 23/02/2018 19:23

Nic was so controlled by her nasty narrow minded husband. I wish she’d had a chance to flourish, like when she organised the crb service and supported Emma in the election.

TeenTimesTwo · 23/02/2018 19:23

We didn't hear her confess.

She said something about being bad or feeling guilty or something.
Then said it to Joe inaudibly to us.
He reacted shocked and said she must be confused.
Then the alarm went.

Beeziekn33ze · 23/02/2018 19:24

Well written and acted but so sad. Was it really necessary? The poor children.
I know I'm being silly, it's a drama. Such things, tragically, happen in real life but I still feel shocked.
The repercussions will go far and wide and affect relationships in the Grundy family and in TA for years.
