I would get it all the time with dd, she would be head to toe in pink in te grey and pink cam with her curly blonde hair and I would get 'what's your little boy's name?'!!!!! We do full on pink pink pink here she likes purple now as well as pink, I've trained her well

5inthebed · 02/06/2010 18:54

I think purple is very unisex. Lilac is more for girls but plum is both.

DS1 always got mistaken for a girl, even if he was head to to in blue. Wouldn't care but he didn't have hair until he was near 2 and looked like a boy!

BexieID · 02/06/2010 19:33

I'm hoping the Moonkiss pinkness isn't too pink for me . The pink Zia is ok, but thats how pink i'll go, lol.

5inthebed · 02/06/2010 19:54

Oooooo you getting a Moonkiss Bexie?

basl · 02/06/2010 21:09

Evening ladies, Glad you like the mb misdee
I like purple for a boy too.

Well i called the shop again and talked about the pushchair again and a girl called me back and said she had spoken to the manager and it has never left the box. I asked about the wrong box and she said oh it's just a baby jogger single they sometimes use different box thats just standard. Then i said about no instructions and she said yeah that sometimes happens. We could offer you a rain cover if you want? So they are not going to give me something back. They did offer full refund. I know something is up. It should not come in another pushchair box should it??

5inthebed · 02/06/2010 21:15

No it shouldn't come in a different box. It should come in the right box. I'd take the raincover, because you know you like the pram .

basl · 02/06/2010 21:21

I know it is just so bloody annoying. They are not giving in and i could do with a new liner . Shame the young girl was agreeing with me all the way till she spoke to manager and they bloody cowards made her speak to me on the phone call back. Never mind eh

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 21:26

Basl, contact Kooltrade? I would ring them back and say you have spoken to kooltrade and that is not normal practice for it to be in the wonrg box with no instructions. The elite and classic are different. Bit like Maclaren sending an XT in an XLR box - it just wouldn't happen. have you asked to speak to the manager yourself?

I'll practice my best scottish accent if you like and ring up

5inthebed · 02/06/2010 21:27

Oh yes, good idea Maxy! Maybe they'll send her a new pram for free

basl · 02/06/2010 21:39

hee heee i know i know but the wee girl was so nice. She kept assuring me the box was only opened to look at the wheels. What can you do? They did offer full refund but i think they know it was what i was looking for all along as i went on and on about my door story. Think i am just being stuborn really as there is nothing wrong with it but the tiny dirt marks on the wheel and the scratches just makes me want some money back.

Maxy maybe you could pretend to be my mum how funny is that. I should be more assertive i know but it is the second time i have called them.

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 21:59

Bit tricky now as they will probably just say send it back then and you will say no I want it (because you do) now. Have you sent them photos of it? Probably now though I would just take the raincover........but I would still contact kooltrade as they are only UK distributers so it would have gone through them at some point!! Contatc them first in the morning.

Did it come with r/c? What clowns did you order from?

5in, might be getting a Moonkiss. Only because I think the Loola will try eating my fingers again .

5inthebed · 02/06/2010 22:06

Bexie, did you want shorts?

Just watching the news, awful what happened to those people in Cumbria.

basl · 02/06/2010 22:23

Maxy i will just leave it now i think and don't want to call kooltrade as i am on just about first name terms with them and i am sure the lady thinks i am a loon because i kept phoning and asking about wheel size etc. She knows my voice the min i speak

The company are called nurseryworld online and they have been great very prompt just me being super fussy i think. I may call back and ask for the rain cover or something else to be honest see what i can get.

Dreadful news from Cumbria 5in really puts things in perspective doesn't it.

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 22:26

Hi.When washing was mentioned I thought Nicola must have come back fro holiday
I hate the sorting and putting away.

basl · 02/06/2010 22:40

lol no Flyme that was just me saying geek sounded so enthusiastic about putting the washing on. I hate doing the laundry full stop.

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 22:44

dunoon

I must admit she did pop into my head briefly today when I was hanging washing out. Sure she would be pleased

I would never say I hate doing the washing for fear DH would take it upon himself to do it....frightening!! He was banned from it when James was very small and all his baby white things were suddenly a dirty grey

FlyMeToDunoon · 02/06/2010 22:47

I thought of Nicola today as I sorted and folded washing and knew it would never get ironed.

FlyMeToDunoon · 02/06/2010 22:55

Off to bed....again. I'm no sooner here than I'm away again. Maybe get on more tomorrow if DP leaves the laptop at home. Mind you I am having two extra children tomorrow as DDs 1 and 2 have friends for sleepovers. Yikes!

basl · 02/06/2010 22:57

Funny how we are all so different. One of the mums said at nursery about how lovely and hot it was again and i kind of hmmmphed my sweaty fringe out of my face and she said she loved it all the washing done in, ironed and away. "Don't you just love it eh" she squealed.
Noooooooooooo i don't just love it. Infact i would rather poke my eyes out.
Sorry that was a bit ott but i was all hot and bothered again. Still it was worth it to see the look on her face then i said i was only pulling her leg. Not!!!!

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 23:12

Basl

My washing is currently sitting on my bed (unironed) in semi sorted piles semi folded waiting to be out away.......suppose I should drag myself up to do it so i can actually climb in ............yawn a mouse!

I have 4 washing baskets next to me on sofa that are overflowing with washed clothes Mix of stuff to be ironed/put away.

carrie, at 18 weeks, Tom weighed 16lb 1oz and at 21 weeks 17lb 12oz.

I weighed myself then Erin, and at 23 weeks she is about 15lb 5oz, but was a bit wobbly on scales as boobs were leaking .

BexieID · 02/06/2010 23:25

Oh, not started weaning as such, although tonight she did have some yoghurt as she was watching Tom eat trifle. Opening her mouth for it, so deffo ready. Can I start BLW now, bearing in mind first few weeks it's all about exploring the food and not really eating it?

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 23:26

James is 27lb
