Ahh bit of a pita this pushchair milarky but you sound sorted now

horsemadgal · 02/06/2010 11:36

Well I should be sorted but always get the itch as you know haaaa!

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 11:40

Morning all. Just had James speech assessment for the university thing. Phew!

Basl that sounds slightly didgy about the pushchair why was it in an elite box? Even from my "dodgy" shop I had full instructions etc etc hmmmmm........gits

OP posts:
basl · 02/06/2010 11:40

Yeah i still have an itch for a little try of a mountain buggy urban the new one but way too expensive. Really is and awfull addiction don't you think

GeekOfTheWeek · 02/06/2010 11:43

Morning all.

Lovely and sunny here, will have to get all the washing done

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 11:44

And that would be dodgy - not didgy though I quite like didgy. Bit like my Grnadma who has dementia - making new words up. last time we went to see her she told us her head was in a pearl

OP posts:
basl · 02/06/2010 11:52

oh maxy that should not be funny poor grandma but i seem to be always about to swallow a drink when you come out with something like that. My h mum used to say she wish the smoke would stop coming out of the whole in the top of her head and we did not know what to say but you do have to see the funny side i think about these things. Sorry Maxy's grandma that really did make me laugh.

The assessment how was it?

Hi Geek, always wonder why people sound so enthusiastic about washing. I hate washing

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 12:12

Oh don't worry, me and my mum roared at taht one My Mum always taught me to laugh at myself anyhow - besides - it stops others getting in first ha ha ha.

Assessment was good, I really like that woman - she also thinks that James will not speak until he can get it right. That if he can't do something, he just won't do it. But the gap between his understanding and his speech is huge
Basl - I don't care about washing - my washing machine does it ha ha ha ha ha. Oh sorry I am in a giddy mood!! hee hee ha ha ha ha ha.

OP posts:
basl · 02/06/2010 12:20

Oh Maxy that is good new right??? That is so interesting how they work all that out. Is James a determined child with other things? Do you agree with the evaluation? So in other words he understands loads but not putting it into words. What happens next?

Glad you are giddy maxy tis such a good feeling!!!!

carrielou2007 · 02/06/2010 12:26

Glad James' assessment went well Maxy

My chunky boy weighs almost 19 lb!!! Got a bit of a telling off from HV as already weaning ds but hey it is up to me and being such a big (and long) boy he is very hungry and ready for it.

May have 'sold' my MB to a friend from antenatal whose buggy has broken. I said I have one she could borrow and her eyes lit up when I said what it was. Saddo that I am I'd rather buy a new one . May sell the apples quest too as have the apples liner now to go in black xt

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 12:58

who knows Basl!! Oh yes he is very determined and fiercely independant too - with everything except speech

Ah 19lb, chunky monkey, nice how old is he carrielou? No one ever knew when James when on solids........or anything else for that matter!!

I kind of wish I'd kept the quest now

OP posts:
carrielou2007 · 02/06/2010 13:07

He's 19 weeks and 18lb 14

I love the apples quest but never really like any of the five quests I had I love the pattern but I have the liner so do I need it?? Cam, sell second cam to buy new MB when I need to, and xt??? Or just keep it as was the 'Very' bargainous one

maxybrown · 02/06/2010 13:09

sell it if you have the liner xt better anyway

OP posts:
basl · 02/06/2010 13:17

I was always told off for Olivia being under the norm weight and one time they told me i was over feeding as they had mucked up the weight the month before but neither wonder they make mistakes such a hectic thing to do with all those baby's screaming.

Carrie what do you think to the new mb urban jungle? I like them but sooo pricey?

Maxy i did not know you had a quest? Why do you miss it.

5inthebed · 02/06/2010 13:33

I've just finished a mammoth ebay listing. 2 hours later, I'm whacked! Need to start getting some holiday money together, only 7 weeks until Blackpool

I can't wait to get my apples quest.

GeekOfTheWeek · 02/06/2010 13:33

Second load in. Not that I am some kind of washing pervert

maxy, how long has your gran had dementia? It is something I saw lots of as a staff nurse. V sad disease but they do come out with some corkers at times.

carrie, how is ds doing with weaning? Jack is fabulous. Must take after me for his love of food

So, should I take my bee on holiday then? Need a liner for it to suncream proof it and a parasol. Or should I buy something else?

BexieID · 02/06/2010 13:42

basil, there was a website that stocked everything Mountain Buggy until they got taken over, now they won't stock it as they don't think it's as good as the original MBs. Not sure how old mine is. It's an adjustable handle one and pretty purple, lol. Here minus the rear wheels, as theres an odd P&T tyre, so getting it all new ones.

Oh, and your 'new' buggy, i'd be asking for money off or a refund, saying it's a gift and you can't give it to the recipient in the wrong box! Something like that anyway.

carrie, not had Erin weighed for ages. Weigh-ib is wednesday mornings, which means taking Tom, but might pop in next week. I'll just weigh myself then us both though for a general idea. I used to take Tom every week till he was about 9 months!

BexieID · 02/06/2010 13:44

oh carrie, I was going to ask how much for your Quest but I might be getting pebbles pink Moonkiss. Just hope it's not too pink, lol.

I don't mind washing, it's sorting it all out, ironing and putting it all away I hate!

BexieID · 02/06/2010 13:51

5in, being nosey at your bits on ebay, how much for the 3 pairs of cotton shorts 4yrs? Are they the BHS ones?

basl · 02/06/2010 13:58

Bexie you mb is gorgeous i dread to think what i would be like with a baby girl again. I never was into pushchairs for Olivia at all. She only had one big pram and then a M&P pulse which went on holiday abroad and everything and no liner???? Can you believe that and no footmuff just a blanket. Then i had a little mc jive which is tres plasticky but it was a fab wee buggy for olivia and pushed in snow everything and no hood. I came on here to ask a buggy question and i have never stopped.

The company know it is for me as i told them the whole too wide story I have emailed them as the girl kept insisting it had never left the box. I do agree with her but what happened before it went in the box ? It's not damaged in any way but i still think i should not have paid full price??

carrielou2007 · 02/06/2010 16:01

I LOVE the MB in purple, I could have that for a boy couldn't I?? The one I'm looking at is the swift I'm going to have a look at one at a local baby shop and the owner sold their cam when their son was a year for a MB though urban. If I sell the MB and quest only need a little bit more to put towards it?? Bexie if I sell the quest was going to ebay it to sell for profit I wouldn't sell it on here for profit but wouldn't sell it on here for what I paid either . Weaning going fabbi thanks Geek ds loves his food

5inthebed · 02/06/2010 17:10

Bexie, I've replied on other thread.

It's so lovely here today. DS2 been at respite, DS1 been swimming an park with my mam and me and DS3 have been sleeping .

My sister found out today she is having a girl. She is a bit gutted because she was hoping for a boy, but my neice is overjoyed as she says she already has enough with her 3 cousins .

misdee · 02/06/2010 17:10

well my MBT double arrived and its fab. doesnt fit throigh the doors, but can work around that. i need something sturdy for 2 kids, whikst walking 2 dogs, so this fits the bill. dh has just ordered the carry for it, in plum, as they ddnt have navy in stock.

plum is unisex isnt it? i didnt think choc or sand would go with the navy seat next to it.

BexieID · 02/06/2010 17:24

I guess plum is unisex really, but I didn't get plum MB when Tom was in a buggy, so that's my answer, lol.

People in the street assume Erin is a boy if shes in the blue car seat. Inc the time an old dear followed me up the road as she though my little 'boy' was too cold as I had no blanket on 'him'. Erin was in her pink snowsuit!

misdee · 02/06/2010 18:21

loads of people call dd4 a boy, drives me mad. as i dont do all out pink
