To keep changing prams? **help me please**

I need help!

I've currently got an almost one year old, and three prams.

I've got, a joie chrome travel system, a bugaboo cameleon 2, and a mothercare Nanu stroller

I had the Joie chrome first and I loved it when ds was tiny, it's light, basket is big it was fab. He just doesn't sit right in it any more, his legs are far too long and he just looks like he's hanging in there by his bum in the harness. Doesn't look comfy at all.

The cameleon is just too bloody heavy. I like the way he sits in the bucket seat, he's got more room and looks comfy. But it's too heavy for what I want it for (I live in countryside lots of hills etc) and I don't drive (well I can but no car or Desire to get myself one) so lots of walking. This is initially why I bought it but it just doesn't work for this. Basket isn't accessible enough for shopping etc, and it's a pain in the arse to get in oh car (mondeo so not small)

The stroller is just used for nursery and I have no issues with it but I want something parent facing.

So - can someone recommend what I should get? I'm trying to sell the bug and the joie.

Ideally I'd like

Parent and world facing, bucket type seat (or just roomy with leg support), big accessible basket, as light as possible, not mega expensive (will prob buy second hand) suitable for a tall 1yom

I don't think you mean third world

No, not many prams in the developing world. Not many pranhuns anyway!

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:09

Hahahaa no true in third world countries, they actually have problems, they don't send out SOS Please help me*

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:10

Are there no prams in the third world??

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:11

It's great off road

I love this phrase as a selling point for a pram

Off road, as in climbing a mountain?

Can you do that whilst you are on your period?

Wooooahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BODYFORMMMMMMMMMMM BODYFORM FOR YOUUUUUUUUUUU

Walkthroughthefire · 19/04/2017 14:15

We'll, I'm glad I clicked on this. It's going well, isn't it.

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:16

Yes, we were just talking about prams in the third world, I think they are endorsed by a well known sanitary product

hoddtastic · 19/04/2017 14:16

Bellatrix Grin

I am going to dig out my white jeans and roller skates, RIGHT NOW

runningLou · 19/04/2017 14:17

Britax Vigour or Vigour +. On eBay. Amazing buggy, big basket, parent facing, toddler size.
3 wheels better than 4 ime.

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:19

Obviously i meant isn't a third world problem but then you all know that anyway.

Have you really not got anything better to do than take the piss?

Ps. I do save for my child thank you very much for your advice.

Wow. I spend a lot of time telling people who don't know any better that Mumsnet is about more than just discussing baby things like prams. However I am sad to see that it has reached a stage where asking for recommendations for baby equipment has become an offence rendering the OP worthy of ridicule and abuse and accusations of frittering away money best spent on her children's future. Totally unnecessary and not at all funny.

Farandole · 19/04/2017 14:21

To be fair when I had a newborn, I only had one dream : to put them in a pram and go for jog on a pebble beach.

Shopkinsdoll · 19/04/2017 14:21

Prob not what your looking for, but bare in mind when he's a bit older and in need of a stroller, this is a great wee buggy.

Obviously i meant isn't a third world problem

No you didn't. Because that's not an expression that even exists.

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:24

Ok take the piss out of me.

I really don't give a shit. It's pathetic that a loaf of grown women are taking the piss out of me because i asked a question and because I've said something that isn't an expression .

It is called 'having a laugh' - no one has said anything personal to you, or said you don't save for your kid - I am sure you are a great mum.

We are only having a laugh. Try it, join in!

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:26

And can i just point out it was Bellatrix who said third world problem first of all why don't you all go laugh at her 🙄

loaf of grown women

Are you just throwing yourself in holes on purpose now, OP??

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:27

Please do - It is funny! :)

ROFL
HAHHAHAHAHAHA

MaisieDotes · 19/04/2017 14:27

Ah now.

The OP wasn't the first mis-user of "third world problem". Someone else said it, and OP responded to that.

JessieMcJessie · 19/04/2017 14:27

"We are only having a laugh"- the refrain of bullies the world over.

coffeeneeded · 19/04/2017 14:27

I agree with most other posters. Make do with what you have! The only thing you need from a buggy is that it fits through your front door and in your car. Stop being wasteful!

Farandole · 19/04/2017 14:29

Jessie, OP posted under the tag line 'AIBU to keep changing prams? HELP ME PLEASE'. I think it is perfectly reasonable to let OP know that yes, she is BU.

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:29

Ok then should we all make do with what we have?

Should we never buy new clothes, never move house, never buy a new car because we should just make do with what we have? Don't be so ridiculous.m

Just because I want a pram that works for me doesn't mean I'm wasteful.

This is just getting ridiculous now, it's absolutely pathetic.

I didn't come on here asking for a laugh or wanting the piss taken out of me, or to be told I'm wasteful.

I posted this thread for advice and recommendations, nothing else.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.
