To keep changing prams? **help me please**

I need help!

I've currently got an almost one year old, and three prams.

I've got, a joie chrome travel system, a bugaboo cameleon 2, and a mothercare Nanu stroller

I had the Joie chrome first and I loved it when ds was tiny, it's light, basket is big it was fab. He just doesn't sit right in it any more, his legs are far too long and he just looks like he's hanging in there by his bum in the harness. Doesn't look comfy at all.

The cameleon is just too bloody heavy. I like the way he sits in the bucket seat, he's got more room and looks comfy. But it's too heavy for what I want it for (I live in countryside lots of hills etc) and I don't drive (well I can but no car or Desire to get myself one) so lots of walking. This is initially why I bought it but it just doesn't work for this. Basket isn't accessible enough for shopping etc, and it's a pain in the arse to get in oh car (mondeo so not small)

The stroller is just used for nursery and I have no issues with it but I want something parent facing.

So - can someone recommend what I should get? I'm trying to sell the bug and the joie.

Ideally I'd like

Parent and world facing, bucket type seat (or just roomy with leg support), big accessible basket, as light as possible, not mega expensive (will prob buy second hand) suitable for a tall 1yom

Sorry, which word are you suggesting I have misused?

Xmasbaby11 · 19/04/2017 14:46

You say you don't like the look or bugaboo bee, but you can get different coloured hoods and are so easy to push with one hand. And parent facing.

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:47

You're bullying therefore you're a bully.

I'm not even going to answer that Hmm

Hmm I might go try him in a bee and see what I think, looks aren't everything I guess.

Damn it. I now have "keep on pramming in the third world" stuck in my head to that Neil young song... thanks mn!

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:50

LadyintheRadiator Thanks :)

Twingler · 19/04/2017 14:53

Calling somebody a bully when they've shown bullying behaviour isn't name calling. It's entirely appropriate. If the butt of the joke doesn't find it funny, you stop. Even if you think it is only a joke, they don't like it so you stop. To continue with it, especially as part of a group ganging up on one person, is bullying behaviour.

Farandole · 19/04/2017 14:53

Bellatrix I've reported you, really this crosses the line.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 19/04/2017 14:53

YABU to post on AIBU when there is a whole pram topic.

I also agree with localusername- get a hobby.

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:54

IVE REPORTED IT AND ASKED FOR IT TO BE MOVED.

That's pretty much how some posters like yourself are coming across. Not saying the OP hasn't given as good as she got but i don't blame her. If you didn't find the thread interesting just leave. Not hard.

DJBaggySmalls · 19/04/2017 14:55

phoenixtherabbit I wouldn't buy one unless I could try it first. We had 3, and one gave me backache. The handle was precisely the wrong height and angle for the weight. Mothercare and John Lewis both let you wheel them around the shop.

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:55

Farandole Thanks for that, will I get a prize?

I have been laughing at people yes, but never have I swore at anyone or name called - which several have ... so I think there are far worse behaved on here

But it is all in the perception I guess, some people are desperate to be victims.

I didn't want to be a victim, I wanted advice about prams.

Bellatrix, asking the OP if she got laid recently is disgustingly sexist. That's why I reported you.

sticklebrix · 19/04/2017 15:00

Totally agree with Twingler.

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 15:00

Farandole

How is sex not relevant - we are discussing prams - isn't sex where babies come from?

Maybe if the OP was trying to conceive she would have need for several prams?

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 15:01

I don't see it as sexist - I would ask the same of man or woman, calling it sexist assumes I only asked because she is a female

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 15:01

bellatrix you're embarrassing yourself.

Ignoring the chaos this thread descended into...
Gracos are fab prams. I loved my symbio when I had it.
I now have the armadillo which I love. It doesn't parent face, but the armadillo flip does. It's big, sturdy, and my very heavy 20 month old is comfortable and supported. And it's easy to push and manoeuvre. Large basket is great. And it's pretty Grin

Northgate · 19/04/2017 15:02

I'd ignore the unhelpful replies if I were you, OP. Asking them to stop clearly isn't working.
And it's looking more like bullying than "having a laugh "

Re. buggies - I had a Quinny Buzz with DS1. The seat could be put in either parent facing or forward facing, adjusted to lie-flat or upright, big enough seat for a toddler to fit in comfortably, reasonably sturdy. Although the basket wasn't massive.

We got rid of the Quinny when DS2 was born - we needed a tandem buggy as DS1 wasn't quite old enough to go buggyless, and the Quinny couldn't be converted to a tandem buggy.

I have the mamas and papas sola mtx2. It's nice and light, fits in the car, and the wheels come of so it's even easier to get in the car. The basket is big enough to get lots of junk in and it can be parent or world facing.
I also take my little one on bumpy paths through the woods and he seems happy enough in it. Everything comes apart so you can wash it easily.
