To keep changing prams? **help me please**

I need help!

I've currently got an almost one year old, and three prams.

I've got, a joie chrome travel system, a bugaboo cameleon 2, and a mothercare Nanu stroller

I had the Joie chrome first and I loved it when ds was tiny, it's light, basket is big it was fab. He just doesn't sit right in it any more, his legs are far too long and he just looks like he's hanging in there by his bum in the harness. Doesn't look comfy at all.

The cameleon is just too bloody heavy. I like the way he sits in the bucket seat, he's got more room and looks comfy. But it's too heavy for what I want it for (I live in countryside lots of hills etc) and I don't drive (well I can but no car or Desire to get myself one) so lots of walking. This is initially why I bought it but it just doesn't work for this. Basket isn't accessible enough for shopping etc, and it's a pain in the arse to get in oh car (mondeo so not small)

The stroller is just used for nursery and I have no issues with it but I want something parent facing.

So - can someone recommend what I should get? I'm trying to sell the bug and the joie.

Ideally I'd like

Parent and world facing, bucket type seat (or just roomy with leg support), big accessible basket, as light as possible, not mega expensive (will prob buy second hand) suitable for a tall 1yom

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 13:56

Meant to add the graco evo the xt version all do parent facing you just flip it around plus big basket and good sturdy wheels. It folds up really easily also

LovingLola · 19/04/2017 13:57

I only ever had one pram/buggy for my pair.
It was a Bebe Confort combination of carrycot/buggy. No car seat. I used the carrycot as a pram till babies were sitting up (about 6 to 7 months). Then switched to parent facing buggy for about a year. Then at 2ish switched to outward facing.
Saw a lady yesterday with a very young baby (I'd say about 5 or 6 months) facing outwards in a buggy...

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 13:57

Pramhunning?

Wtf are you on about?

I want a pram. Not a collection. I'm not going to bling it up and stick bows on it ffs.

Can someone not ask a question on aibu any more ffs

I had the graco evo which is why I recommend it, its lightweight and i used it for 2.5 years then sold it on still in great condition. Never failed me

WomblingThree · 19/04/2017 13:57

phoenixtherabbit I spent years and two babies in my quest for the perfect pushchair. This was 20 years ago though, so I know nothing about prams now. I have heard good things about the Mothercare Roam though, which faces either way.

The problem is that you can't try them with your lifestyle/baby before you buy them. Eventually, I just bought and sold as I went along. If you buy used and try it out and don't like it, you can normally resell for more or less what you paid.

Craiconwithit · 19/04/2017 13:58

My DS was a buggy refuser when he was about 18 months. He preferred to walk everywhere. Until then, I was using a Phill and Teds and it was brilliant for off roading. We lived rural near the sea so mix of pavement, grass and sandy walks.

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 13:58

I am loving how the OP thinks telling people to fuck off, will actually make that happen.

I thought this thread was a joke to be honest the slightly dramatic title over a third world problem, honestly I don't know anyone who needs three pushchairs for one child, and is still not happy.

ChaiTeaTaiChi · 19/04/2017 13:58

Ok then someone report it and ask for it to be moved and then kindly fuck off

Definitely reported now Hmm

ChaiTeaTaiChi · 19/04/2017 13:59

Can someone not ask a question on aibu any more ffs

Yeah, any AIBU question. Did you miss the point of it?

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 13:59

I don't need three pushchairs.

Can you not read? I'm selling two of them and getting one i actually like.

Maybe it is a third world problem, i never said my life depends on it i just asked for advise?

to be fair bellatrix, the kid's almost one - so it's not like she's buying on every quarter or anything is it..?

Farandole · 19/04/2017 14:01

Phoenix, I think some posters are taking the mickey because deep down they think you're being obsessive over something trivial, and you are also being wasteful. I agree with that sentiment. You are also being quite rude.

I have two kids, and only ever had one pram (third hand bugaboo chameleon if you must know) and one stroller (Maclaren). We don't drive, so walked everywhere. Stop buying prams, save money for your kids' future. Your child is almost 1, in a few months' time he will want to walk. Don't waste your money. Make do with what you have.

SquatBetty · 19/04/2017 14:01

If you change your mind about parent facing the Nipper out n about 360 is bloody brilliant for off-roading.

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:02

Can someone not ask a question on aibu any more ffs but you haven't have you, you have commenced to tell people to fuck off which I am afraid may have sealed your fate

ChaiTeaTaiChi · 19/04/2017 14:02

I have a pram. It's a blue one

MaisieDotes · 19/04/2017 14:03

Saw a lady yesterday with a very young baby (I'd say about 5 or 6 months) facing outwards in a buggy.

And?

Farandole · 19/04/2017 14:04

Definitely not a third world problem :o

I was talking about the Armidilio flip xt.

Shamoffour · 19/04/2017 14:05

I don't think you mean third world.

Nellooo · 19/04/2017 14:06

Babyjogger city mini. It's all I've ever had or will have, from newborn to 4yo. Strong, light, practical, relatively cheap.

bumbleymummy · 19/04/2017 14:06

I think mountain buggy have a new parent facing attachment. It's great off road.

You're probably better off just ignoring the posters that are being a bit assy.
