To keep changing prams? **help me please**

I need help!

I've currently got an almost one year old, and three prams.

I've got, a joie chrome travel system, a bugaboo cameleon 2, and a mothercare Nanu stroller

I had the Joie chrome first and I loved it when ds was tiny, it's light, basket is big it was fab. He just doesn't sit right in it any more, his legs are far too long and he just looks like he's hanging in there by his bum in the harness. Doesn't look comfy at all.

The cameleon is just too bloody heavy. I like the way he sits in the bucket seat, he's got more room and looks comfy. But it's too heavy for what I want it for (I live in countryside lots of hills etc) and I don't drive (well I can but no car or Desire to get myself one) so lots of walking. This is initially why I bought it but it just doesn't work for this. Basket isn't accessible enough for shopping etc, and it's a pain in the arse to get in oh car (mondeo so not small)

The stroller is just used for nursery and I have no issues with it but I want something parent facing.

So - can someone recommend what I should get? I'm trying to sell the bug and the joie.

Ideally I'd like

Parent and world facing, bucket type seat (or just roomy with leg support), big accessible basket, as light as possible, not mega expensive (will prob buy second hand) suitable for a tall 1yom

Op. You're a light weight. Just embrace the pram buying. Across two babies I clocked up 16-17 probably more, prams Grin

Buy second hand. Tart them up use them and sell them for more. Thing is the pushchair you need right now is never the one you need five months later. Wink

17 wow!

Wish I could sell them for more. No interest in either so far other than 'swaps' for prams worth half the value.

Thought the bugaboo would go instantly but no such luck.

Pram libraries would be a very good idea! Xxx

Wow - what a nasty thread! Literally just joined mumsnet and wondering if that was wise... :/

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with wanting an ideal buggy - it's not like they aren't effectively full time accessories to mum's with young kids 😁

I have a bit of a buggy obsession though I live in the city so not sure the same ones would suit you. My main buggy is Uppababy Cruz which I love (especially for the roomy bucket seat and huuuge basket which puts most others to shame). BUT it's a very urban buggy and is hard work off-road.

I recently bought an Easywalker Mosey which is not as well known here as it should be. Really good off road and very sturdy. Also has a very tall seat so will take much older children than many. Not a bucket seat though (but seems comfy), and I find the basket small and inaccessible (possibly partly due to being used to the Cruz!). They're just releasing the Mosey+ at the moment though which has a larger basket i think.

My youngest is 5 and I still have 3 pushchairs Blush. Two Baby Joggers and a Graco which I was given but never used. Think I've accepted I have to sell them now...

As for your pushchair, get a baby jogger city mini GT. Best one ever.

To answer you pram question .......

Icandy peach can be parent or forward facing, bucket type seat, decent to push (not the best, compared to bj gt for example). Easy to fold and get into car. Decent basket. It's nice and compact for getting round the shops. Seat seems comfortable but not the biggest so if your DC is on the bigger side then probably wouldn't last that long.

I had a bugaboo bee and while I loved how it pushed and folded, I hated the seat unit. It just didn't seem comfortable at all. Lots of people love them though so may be worth going somewhere to try them.

Maybe buy second hand and then sell again as when your DC gets older and you're happy to forward face, baby jogger gt is fantastic.

It's hard to find the ideal buggy, you may have to compromise somewhere.
