To keep changing prams? **help me please**

I need help!

I've currently got an almost one year old, and three prams.

I've got, a joie chrome travel system, a bugaboo cameleon 2, and a mothercare Nanu stroller

I had the Joie chrome first and I loved it when ds was tiny, it's light, basket is big it was fab. He just doesn't sit right in it any more, his legs are far too long and he just looks like he's hanging in there by his bum in the harness. Doesn't look comfy at all.

The cameleon is just too bloody heavy. I like the way he sits in the bucket seat, he's got more room and looks comfy. But it's too heavy for what I want it for (I live in countryside lots of hills etc) and I don't drive (well I can but no car or Desire to get myself one) so lots of walking. This is initially why I bought it but it just doesn't work for this. Basket isn't accessible enough for shopping etc, and it's a pain in the arse to get in oh car (mondeo so not small)

The stroller is just used for nursery and I have no issues with it but I want something parent facing.

So - can someone recommend what I should get? I'm trying to sell the bug and the joie.

Ideally I'd like

Parent and world facing, bucket type seat (or just roomy with leg support), big accessible basket, as light as possible, not mega expensive (will prob buy second hand) suitable for a tall 1yom

to be fair i really AM laughing at Bellatrix.

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:30

Nobodies actually just said YABU though until now have they? No. They've taken the piss.

Don't get the uppababy vista. I'm currently selling mine as I find it to large, awkward and heavy. We have replaced it with the city jogger which is great. Not parent facing but honestly it's probably not going be long until the baby wants to be seeing the world!

You're getting a lot of grief on here, not sure why. In true bullying style they seem to be loving your reactions.. so IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE.

It's only 'a laugh' if the person it's aimed at is actually laughing. ✌️

Shamoffour · 19/04/2017 14:31

Bellatrix ha ha ha ha ha.

There is that better?!

They thing is you've posted in aibu. You need a hard hat and a thick skin. and a sense of humour

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:32

It really is unacceptable that a loaf of women would find something to giggle at

Stop it you shameful women, should be scrubbing our doorsteps

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:33

Why do I need a sense of humour when all ive asked for is pram recommendations?

Funnily enough I didn't even consider that I'd get the shit ripped out of me...

Fancy meeting up for a bit of pram shopping Phoenix?

YABU

Farandole · 19/04/2017 14:37

Bella trip, I think 'loaf' is the actual plural noun for a group of women. (no it's not, of course I made it up).

OP : I did give you a truthful and honest answer. I see now that you didn't actually want answers to the question you asked, so I will bow out. Sorry if you have not enjoyed this thread.

Sirzy · 19/04/2017 14:37

To be honest at 1 I wouldn't be looking for anything more than just a good quality stroller. It's going to be used less and less over the next 12-18 months anyway so reply why do you need more?

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:38

I don't need more. Of course I could just gets a stroller but it's not what I want and it's not practical for what I would use it for.

Hahahhahaaaaaaaa oh dear bit extreame

Farandole - I love it 'Loaf of women' I am going to keep using that term

sticklebrix · 19/04/2017 14:40

Have you considered getting one of those detachable bike trailers that can also be used as pushchairs? They can usually be used over bumpy ground and offroad and are a good investment for the future if you don't have a car. I still use ours for shopping.

Totally understand your buggy collection. I went through several (second hand) pushchairs over the years. Finally settled on a bike trailer for everyday stuff plus a cheap umbrella pushchair for the shops, bus etc.

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:40

Maybe extreme but I don't tend to make friends with bullies.

You didn't ask an aibu question, so how could they? Which is the point, you're in the wrong place!

Sirzy · 19/04/2017 14:41

For a one year old in what way in a stroller not practical? Ok it's not parent facing but by that age looking out seeing the world is great for them. Beyond that they are generally much more suitable and likely to last until a pram is no longer needed.

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:41

I've reported it and asked it to be moved.

Basket not big enough. Not study enough for the amount of walking I do.

As much as seeing the world is great for them I like having the option of parent facing too as I have explained.

Plenty have massive baskets and are very sturdy!

BeIIatrixLeStrange · 19/04/2017 14:43

not practical for what I would use it for

As opposed to putting your kid in, and pushing him along?

Do you expect yours to fly? Make the tea? Pop a wash in whilst you have a nap?

phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:43

Yes but I want parent facing. I'm not sure why I have to keep explaining that.

OP posts:
phoenixtherabbit · 19/04/2017 14:44

bellatrix have you really nothing better to do?

It's actually getting embarrassing that you're still here, trying to take the piss. It's really not funny at all.

OP posts:
Twingler · 19/04/2017 14:45

Hi OP, it's probably best if you just ignore them, there are a little group of them joining in now and they're only going to continue egging each other on. Not sure why this thread in particular has been picked on. It's no different to the thousands of other threads that appear on AIBU.

Is this your first child? They may want to see the world or start walking a little sooner than you'd think. In that case it might be worth just using what you have now for a month or two and then using an umbrella buggy. I have an 18 month old now and he mainly wants to walk. If in the chair, he's pointing at everything and wanting to look at/interact with things other than me. I have a silver cross umbrella buggy, which I bought because it was the most lightweight one I could find and he is only getting heavier! But some of these suggestions of buggies which can change between forward and parent facing might be your best bet if that's what you have your heart set on.

Isn't that funny as I haven't actually said anything personal about you - but you have started name calling.

Have you been laid recently? You seen so uptight
