Excellent Littlewoods code - £25 no min spend for existing customers!

Just ordered the Playmobil police seaplane for DS2 for £5 rather than £30!!

Hi, really pleased received all of my three orders today... yes I took advantage! Yesterday the full amounts without any discount was pending to come out of my account and the bank told me there was no sign of my 3 x £25 being refunded.

Today when I checked my account all 3 full amounts had been taken out of my account but also 3 lots of £25 had been refunded.

now I just have to wait and hope this doesnt all go pearshaped at some point in the future!!!!!!

mines fine- all money refunded.

well it happened last year, people got charged for full amount then refunded the discount.
some people had problems but due to calling and exchanging and etc...
i assume catalogues deal with hundreds and thousands people daily online or on the phone. if you call them they will bring out your account in front og them and will see all your transactions.
i have full price chared on littlewoods, but half of my order not due till another 2 weeks,so i will wait and see.

Although I haven't received everything yet, I have looked on my accounts and the promotion has worked on Littlewoods and Marshall Ward. It doesn't show on Additions but the last discount didn't show and it still worked so I am not worried.

Got an email saying I was not eligible for the discount today Only used it once but they said it should have been £50 minimum spend

where do you stand legally?

surely they advertised a code, you sed it, they accepted it, you paid, they refunded...

its not in your home and they have been paid for it?

they can't take a payment off your card without authorisation- i think the only legal way they can claim the money is if you have an account with them and they whack it on that. But if you have paid by card they CANNOT get the money off you- as said by lawyer BIL (and the companies know this from 2007 fiasco)

Yes I only got one thing, but the money is still reserved for them in my account which I don't like!

Ask them why if the code was intended for a £50 spend then they allowed it to be used for less than that. Ask them why they allowed you to place the order and then happily refunded the £25 to your account when it was obvious that you had not spent £50. Point out that you have not tried to hide anything and that you will be contacting Trading Standards, throw in the word's 'conned' and 'entrapment' for good measure

The fault is with them, how dare they treat customers this way when it is their own incompetence that has caused the problem in the first place.

Did you contact them first to ask SK?

I have had no email and my item delivered this morning....we will see, but would have bought this anwyay, and mine was on my account so no bank amounts to check etc.

Mine were delivered Monday and had no emails.

This is a bit like the Boden thing and the £10 off a £30 spend, how it still goes through every time, even though you are only meant to use it once - because really they want you to keep using it occasionally, just not take the mick as some people did earlier in the year.

Agree TFM i doubt they can make you return or take more money from your card either.

My order arrived today. My account was debited by £30 (order total) and then credited with £25. No emails (yet) trying to claim back any monies. Fingers crossed all will be well, but I am glad I only used the code once, and for something I would have bought anyway (but not necessarily through Littlewoods), so I feel comfortable with it all.

Thank you Pinkchampagne for the code I am sure my DD will be very happy with her Christmas present.

My peppa pig palace has just arrived (a week earlier than expected)

Hula the littlewoods one is the same as mine and just checked credit card online and shows full amount debited followed by £25 credit

No emails here but I know Laughalot placed around 5 or 6 orders with various companies and the only one to contact her was great universal to say they were cancelling her ordr with themf or abusing the code she has received all her other orders and £25 credits

Lockets if i were you i would be complaining to them.
Whilst i know you weren't happy with your item they actually took well over £50 from your account so how can they say you weren't eligible due to not having spent £50 ??
