well i ordered from littlewoods and very, but got panicy and emailed to make sure i was eligible for the discounts, and was told i was not so both orders would be cancelled maybe if i had not alerted them to it they wouldnt have noticed, but didnt want to take the chance

All my bits arrived. Not too worried about the £10 i got off great universal but hoping the Littlewoods £25 off will be ok. Shame i found one of the Great universal items half price today! Oh well! Doesn't matter too much.

My brother placed 2 orders - marshallward & choice on Saturday lunchtime but didn't get confirmations so thought they hadn't worked though decided not to risk calling them and alerting them to the code error. He has just called me to say he got both confirmation emails this lunch time & he's got the discount! So maybe some people who didn't get confirmations will do today or tomorrow, they must have had a backlog!

Oh SMM I'm really sorry to hear that. How embarrassing and actually sounds a bit mean of them.

If you're not supposed to use the code they ought to at least prevent you using it in the first place. It is very passive aggressive of them.

My orders arrived today in the post - but no paperwork with them at all, just a returns label which says what the price of the item is (in tiny writing).

But no receipt or anything. Most odd. Is this normal???

SMM, sorry to hear you did not get it.
i placed 3 orders with 3 catalogue, got most of mine. MW only charged 8.95, so 25off worked.
Lockets, did you place multiple order with one catalogue?

I'm returning my Littlewoods one and possibly the additions one also as it was around £40

Keeping the Very order as it was for over £50 anyway so hope they will honour it.

See, if they had just made it clear initially that the code was for orders over £50 it would have spared everyone all the hassle and worry. However they decided to sort their order requirements out in hindsight which is just shit...not sure why I expected any better of this company tbh, they are an administrative nightmare at the best of times. for you Lockets.

Lockets did you get yours refunded then charged again?

Think I will send back the thing that arrived today. My problem is that the other things that came yesterday were only part of a delivery with the rest not going to appear for a couple of weeks so not sure if I can wait for it all to arrive (and so hopefully get the £25 refunded) before sending them back.

Will think about it.

when I go into the order there doesn't seem to be an option for cancelling it

One other question lockets - on your transaction history does it have the credit made on one day and then reversed on another?

Mine was charged and refunded yesterday so only cost £1.50

First order I made (peppa pig palace) isnt due to next Tuesday so will keep an eye on that (fingers crossed it gets delivered as it'll be dd2 bday pressie)

Bigchris there may be a link on your email.

If you go to 'help' tab on your account, it'll have a link saying 'orders' and that has the link to the cancellation form to fill in.

I got one of mine yesterday (was expecting it today) and the other is meant to come next week. I put it onto my Very account and it says its balance is £18 which is what I'd expect including the discount. Hope they don't put the £25 back on later, esp after reading Locket's posts.

bigchris Phone them if you can't see how to do it online.

Lockets seems odd that you are the only one up to now having had the refund taken back ?
Did they credit it then take it back ?
Have you checked your statement as on your transaction history mine shows 2 x £25 being taken and one credit. My bank statement shows one amount of £25 taken and then immediate refund.

FWIW i wouldn't panic everyone, a lot of us have had the refund and the goods....

Also Locket if they charged you twice then why did they take the refund back as your order was over £50 then ?
