Just quickly starting new thread as @wheresmymoji is busy. Special thanks to @ofwarren for the updates and special thanks from to everyone posting useful info and being supportive.

This weekend I froze lots of things I have never frozen before!

Chopped up onions and stored in small bags.

Split garlic bulbs into separate cloves, left the skin on and froze them.

Also froze chopped red peppers & leeks.

Also froze rocket, spinach and fresh herbs (coriander, chives etc).

You can also freeze butter and milk and cheese (but not Philadelphia).

Tomorrow’s job is freezing avocados.

It's new territory 😂. I was going to ask about avacado.

Re garlic it's the one I'm cautious about, I'm a aware of some of caution needed with garlic.

Where did you get small bags from please?
I'm going to get chopping tomorrow. I wish we'd brought a food processor.
I adore water cress and rocket so will freeze that.very sadly I have no room for milk but I can squeeze cheddar in. Can you freeze most cheese?

Goats cheese?

I'll def try butter.

My freezer is pretty full now, this is sneak into small spaces stuff.

I'm making home made sausages rolls to freeze, again do l leave it whole to freeze or chop it into sections and freeze.

@Springinsight if you chop the sausage roll before you freeze it a least you’ll not have to use it all in one go.

The make is Toppits and there were 20 x 150ml and 20 x 380 ml in the box. They are zip lock and really small.

DH is German and he must have got them in Germany as the box is all in German!

@Springinsight you can get garlic in tubes like tomato purée. No idea how long it says you can keep once open as i use them up too quickly.

I buy it in Tesco.

Hi all been lurking for a while thanks so much for the info. If anyone in South Wales area screwfix have a few of the cheap disposable masks in stock in Cardiff and Ebbw Vale area just incase it's any use for any one :)

@itsnotjustflu wow! That's an awful lot of appliances never mind running them the space to house them all would impress me.
We are trying to decide if we want a chest freezer, our freezer is pretty small But we don't really need one in normal circumstances so feeling conflicted.

I found hand gel at a large local coop in South Wales on Friday. Probably all gone now

I heard a sales assistant in boots telling someone today that they’re expecting fairly regular stocks of hand gel stuff. Just that it sells out really quickly. I was there at 11am today and they’d had some earlier in the morning which had gone by then.

@Tinnednut if I could afford it at all I'd get a chest freezer - I think even in every day life they're useful to have. I'd have a wipeable list of what's in it (on acetate for example) stuck to the top and add / remove things as appropriate, along with dates I needed to use things by. One day!
