It took me 3 years to conceive DD, surely this isn’t isn’t the world’s faintest positive?

I think I’m roughly 12DPO, on day 30 of my 32ish day cycle anyway. Had sex once.

DH thinks he can’t see anything at all. I think I can. Precious DD is TINY.

Blimey. It’s a lot! DD is small, and I will need to get in to EPU for two weekly scans from 6 weeks (yep, really!) and phone the GP for prescriptions. So much to think about, big and small things.

Thank you all so much for your line eyes, and for the chat 💐

OP, there's clear line progression there and the bottom test definitely looks pink to me!!

My DH is the eldest of 3 brother and the second was born almost a year to the day after him. It was really hard on him growing up but they have a great relationship, particularly as adults.

congrats again 💕

AffableApple · 20/11/2022 15:40

I TTC for over two years. Got faint line like yours, super early. It was twins. Good luck!

That’s a shocker! How awful for you 💐

Don’t feel sorry for me, I already had 2u2 and had the implant in at the time. Only tested because I felt sick and then freaked out for a week whilst it got confirmed I wasn’t pregnant. So not a sad story for me personally.

On a separate note our eldest was 5 months when we got pregnant with number 2. There’s now 14 months between and whilst it’s hard it’s not unmanageable. Personally couldn’t handle a third on top though 😂

Bluekerfuffle · 20/11/2022 15:49

Apparently everyone is a lot more fertile in the months straight after giving birth, something to bear in mind the next time.

Upwiththelark76 · 20/11/2022 17:02

Awwwwww🥰 congratulations there’s definitely a line progression plain to see !

SergeiL · 20/11/2022 17:26

It is definitely looking positive. Hope you are ok OP. As you say, lots to think about and get organised but sometimes things happen for a reason.

Soakitup37 · 20/11/2022 17:36

Im not sure if it’s been said but how old is your DD? Could this be residual pregnancy hormones from the previous pregnancy? And the spotting your cycle returning? We had a couple of ladies on our June22 birthing board a while back unsure what it was and in both cases it ended up being post pregnancy hormones dropping.

2boysmumx · 20/11/2022 17:58

Hi everyone,

hoping for some reassurance… I was due on around 18th so 2 days ago. I did a test on 16th as id been feeling really weird and suspected, it was positive. I did another one, also positive. I then did a digital weeks one which was again positive and said 1-2 weeks!

this afternoon (about 3 hours ago) I had some bleeding. Not painful and have only bled the tiniest bit on a pad since, the first bit of blood was browny and then was red. There is a little bit of blood when wiping but nothing major. I did another test this evening but it said negative.

i never had any bleeding with my previous two pregnancies, what does it mean that I’ve had 3 positive tests but now I’m bleeding and had a negative test?

thanks in advance x

snowbellsxox · 20/11/2022 17:58

Awwwwwww Grin looks positive to me! Wonderful congratulations Smile

2boysmumx · 20/11/2022 18:00

Also I’m sorry I didn’t mean to post on this thread! I’m new 🤦🏼‍♀️ but also looks positive to me xx

B1993 · 20/11/2022 18:39

@2boysmumx This sounds like it could be a chemical (early loss) given that you've had bleeding. However, there are other reasons for a negative after initial postives. Did you hold your urine when testing this evening? I suggest at least a 3-4 hour hold if you're testing early.

FightingFatAt49 · 21/11/2022 11:12

Looks like good news, best of luck

edenisa · 21/11/2022 11:14

I can't see a line sorry xx

Irishfarmer · 21/11/2022 12:26

It took me 4 years to have DS so I get the shock/ wonder! Have you done any more tests?

babyboybluewithtwox · 21/11/2022 14:20

How are you @3yearsversus3minutes?

@babyboybluewithtwox Thanks for asking! I’m ok, still positive on FRER, but not a true clear positive on a less sensitive one yet. Still no idea what we’re going to do. The gap is so so tiny. It just feels terrifying. I think it’s fair on DD, she needs me so much.

I think I’m leaning towards termination.

Just a little update: I’ve just booked an appointment for the initial phone consultation to have a termination.

OP posts:
3yearsversus3minutes · 21/11/2022 18:37

The wait time is so long. I should be looking forward to my DD’s first Christmas and I’ll be having a termination. I’m just feeling really sad.

Well, that was a plot twist. OP, if it is really a positive, don't rush into a decision.

B1993 · 21/11/2022 19:15

@3yearsversus3minutes, sorry for my naivity here but I didn't realise there was a wait time for termination! That's really awful that they make you wait as I can imagine it's something you want to do swiftly once you've decided. Is there at alternative provider you could contact? It does sound to me like you've make your decision, I'm sure it wasn't easy but only you knows best for you and your family at this stage.

Wishing you lots of luck for your termination and hope your procedure goes well. 🍀💖

DH and I spoke and it’s just not really what either of us actually want. The impact on DD would be so huge. The guilt I feel is just awful. We’re not ready. DD took forever to come along and I’ve had 3 MC, so this feels so alien. We think it’s the least worst option though.

Thank you so much. There’s isn’t no. I’m booked with the one that holds the NHS funding for my area. My initial phone consultation is over a week away. I get it, they’re busy, but it’s hard to wait.

Oh dear, I’ve posted under my usual name! It’s too confusing changing back. I wanted it separate from my other posts, but oh well!
