I've posted on another thread but didn't want to derail so made my own.

I've just taken the second lot of tablets internally and I am absolutely terrified of what's going to happen!

I've had no bleeding so far just cramps.
I can take some ibuprofen at 2.15 and codine at 4.15 again plus I feel really sick now but I'm not sure if that's my anxiety.

Is there anyone who's free to keep me company while I have to go through this, I literally am thinking all sorts, to I'm going to bleed to death to I'm going to see something horrendous when I pass something 😭

@bornninthe80s we don't have a shower atm, only a bath is usable as we're mid doing the en-suite 😩

Bloody hell there is no new bloody whatsoever even when I wipe!

@ohdoriswheresthesalad bless you, how stressful this is for you. I am so glad we can all be here to support each other. It is odd that you had the cramping but not the bleeding? I thought if you had one you'd have the other, too! At least you have been in touch with BPAS and you know they have emergency slots to get you in should it come to it 💜

I am feeling good thank you. I felt a little bit nauseous about 1.5 hours after taking it, but I've had some dinner and a nice walk for fresh air and I'm feeling good. No blood (which is to be expected!) just want the next 24 hours to pass so I can get on with the real stuff now 😩 The worst part about all of this is the waiting games we have to play, isn't it! I hope you are ok xx

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 19:13

@hillarypcof I'm glad you're feeling good and have had a good meal etc.

I know it's so bizarre I can't grasp it to be honest. How can it not be working, I know every one is different, but 90% of stories I've read it's been over in at least 24 hours, mines just dragging and dragging.

I've just got a feeling it's gonna end up being a failed attempt and I'll have to go to hospital or something and have it removed that way 😭

OP posts:
hillarypcof · 27/08/2020 19:31

@doriswheresthesalad if you don't mind me asking how did you take the misoprostol? The nurse said to me if you take them orally it can be not as effective as if you insert them vaginally, could that be a factor? I'm just trying to make sense of it for you! Madness 😩 and the stressing about it only makes things worse doesn't it!! Has your cramping eased up or is it still there? Hope you are still gorging on chocolate and Netflix x

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 19:43

@hillarypcof I took all of them internally, I read it causes sickness if taken orally so didn't want anymore of that on top of the sickness I had anyway!

The cramping is on and off really, I've taken no more pain killers though.

I keep feeling that there is something going on down below, but every time I check there's nothing there!

I've eaten half my tea but I'm so so nauseous still even with my anti sickness it's not doing anything at all. Laying down keeping still is really the only thing that helps.

bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 19:44

And if vaginally are you sure none fell out? I was worried about that happening. One nurse said no wees for an hour!

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 19:51

@bornninthe80s no none definitely didn't fall out I laid in bed after all the tablets as I had the same concern!

OP posts:
hillarypcof · 27/08/2020 19:56

@ohdoriswheresthesalad @borninthe80s yes I asked the nurse about them falling out too!! She said to lay down for half an hour after putting them in, good idea about the wees too! She didn't mention that but I will definitely bear that in mind. Thank you 💜
I'm glad you've had a little something to eat, I can imagine this is making you worried sick to add to your nausea. Worst case scenario and you have to go into hospital to get it removed, I've read that it is painless and over very very quickly 💜 and probably a lot less stress than this process!!!!

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 19:59

If I have to go to hospital though, then people will find out, my dh will have to have time off work I'll have to ask my family to have the girls, work will need to know 😩 it needs to be a life or death situation for me to go to hospital.

The nausea is getting worse it's all I can think about now, it's like a washing machine 😭

Do you still feel ok @hillarypcof

How are you @Elephants12345

bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:06

They should get you in for surgical straight away and you would need that day off but recovery would be quick. You could work the next day. You don't have to say what it is. Say emergency medical procedure and if someone ever tried to pry out of you what happened say you had a burst epidermis cyst in the groin area 💁🏻‍♀️

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 20:16

Would that be what they'd do, if it hasn't worked go for surgical?
@bornninthe80s

bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:19

Just spoke to my friend who went through this a few weeks ago. She said:

When I took pills I was expecting so much to happen straight away but I didn’t start bleeding until 2 days later. Took 4 pills fri morning and another 2 sat morning. Didn’t start proper bleeding until Monday.

She's been for a scan since and it's all complete.

I'm sorry you're also going through a delayed process but everything is crossed for this to be done by 2pm tmw.

bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:20

I think that if medical doesn't happen at all they would get you in for surgical, but that's a vague memory from talking to Marie Stopes. I preferred the sound of surgical tbh but didn't want to wait any longer so went medical x

hillarypcof · 27/08/2020 20:21

@ohdoriswheresthesalad I totally understand what you mean, I've chosen to keep this on the down low too, only my boyfriend and my closest girl friend know. As @borninthe80s said, work don't have to know! Just tell them it's an emergency procedure, and if they really probe for more info (they shouldn't) then definitely use the example she gave 💜

I am feeling good thank you - you've inspired me - I'm sat here munching on a Twirl 😂 I have waves of nausea but it never lasts more than a few seconds at a time x

bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:21

From earlier message - epidermoid cyst not epidermis ... got to get the cover lie right!!

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 20:21

@bornninthe80s let's hope so. I can't take another day like this and I'm on my own tomorrow with the girls!

I wish this bloody feeling sick would do one!

Thank you for all your kind words today 💜

OP posts:
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 20:23

@hillarypcof I ate my chocolate yesterday, not that I could stomach it today!

I'm glad you're feeling ok.

@bornninthe80s I shall be using that if needed thank you!

OP posts:
bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:29

No problem re the cover lie. Tell them to watch a youtube video of the procedure lie. They'll be sorry they asked Grin

Very glad I can be here for you along with some other super ladies. When you go through something like this I feel you need to talk about it but not everyone in real life is so understanding.

My husband wanted to tell his best friend about this (the day before I started the process) as he didn't have an 'outlet'... needless to say I hit the roof Hmm erm... call a counsellor or go on dadsnet you numpty. His friend is recently married and could be unsuccessfully trying etc etc .... so many reasons why that was A Dumb Idea.

Anyway just here to provide distractions! X

bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:30
  • second "lie". Didn't proofread!
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 20:39

Nothing bad is going to happen to me is it if this fails? I'm not going to end up really ill or anything?
@bornninthe80s @hillarypcof

OP posts:
bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:41

Of course not, you'll be fine. The first pill stopped the pregnancy hormone - so effectively stops any growth. The miso is meant to cause uterine contractions to expel anything in uterus and that's the delayed part at the mo. But remember in a MMC sometimes that is only discovered weeks after the growth had stopped and does the mother no harm XX

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 20:45

@bornninthe80s so if someone has a mmc does it come out eventually? (Sorry if that sounds callous)

OP posts:
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 20:46

I've just been to the loo and it's more red blood now rather than dark? Is that a good thing?

OP posts:
bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:47

I think re MMC you can choose to medically manage (which I assume means taking the miso pills) or wait for nature to do its thing z

bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 20:48

Yes sounds promising @ohdoriswheresthesalad ! I'm sorry for your drawn out ordeal x
