I've posted on another thread but didn't want to derail so made my own.

I've just taken the second lot of tablets internally and I am absolutely terrified of what's going to happen!

I've had no bleeding so far just cramps.
I can take some ibuprofen at 2.15 and codine at 4.15 again plus I feel really sick now but I'm not sure if that's my anxiety.

Is there anyone who's free to keep me company while I have to go through this, I literally am thinking all sorts, to I'm going to bleed to death to I'm going to see something horrendous when I pass something 😭

@hillarypcof oh I'm so glad your pack is on the way to you, what a relief for you. Fingers crossed it goes relatively painless and quickly for you 🤞🏼

If you need any support tomorrow then I'll be here to chat or whatever you need 💜

Still nothing much happening, little bit of blood, little cramps x

Still nothing.

It's been 25 hours since I took the first lot of pills! I'm sitting on the toilet hoping gravity helps

@ohdoriswheresthesalad Thank you so much, the postie has just delivered and I have everything I need to get this ball rolling 💪🏻 I went to Tesco first thing this morning and bough a few packs of jumbo ultra pads, paracetamol, ibuprofen and some sugary treats - should do the trick I'm hoping!
I see the nurse has put codeine in my pack. She did tell me about this, but she said I may not need it. Did you find you needed it, or did you take it just in case things got more painful?

I'm sorry for all the questions! And I really appreciate you being here xx

How has sitting on the loo gone? Has your bleeding from earlier this morning continued?

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 11:42

Oh that's good news @hillarypcof, you sound like you have a good lot of supplies to get you through this. I brought maternity pads as wasn't sure how heavy the bleeding would be.
Sugary snacks are a good idea too.

I took 2 codine (15mg) first then 2 hours later 2 ibuprofen, then codine and so on. I think I had 6 codine yesterday and 4 ibuprofen but I was scared of the pain so wanted to build up a barrier if you get me? But I'm not great with pain so you may be ok with paracetamol and ibuprofen.
The nurse told me a hot water bottle or a wheaty bag is also quite helpful if you have one of them to hand?

I've only took 2 codine this morning and really probably could have done without it as it's nothing more than a dull ache. Though I keep feeling popping sensations in my tummy but nothing follows on from it?

I had to get up from the loo, it was making my back hurt Hmm nothing happened anyway.
There's a bit of blood in the pad but nothing that I'd think it would be like?
The nausea is back as well now. I'm thrilled 😳

We're nearly 24 hours from the second lot of pills.
Xx

Still not much going on over here.
Small amounts of blood, little cramps and that's it. I've managed to clean the bathroom this afternoon to try keep moving but hasn't seem to have moved anything along 😩

Are you going to ring for some advice, OP?

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 14:17

When I phoned yesterday she said if no bleeding has started by 2pm then phone back but it has started just not a lot? Do you think I should phone back? X

OP posts:
hillarypcof · 27/08/2020 14:22

Thanks for your advice and support, OP. Really good to hear your experiences, and everyone's else's. I think if I were you I would phone BPAS for advice. I was just reading my information pack (I've just taken the first tablet!) and it had a diagram of what is/isn't normal and when to phone for advice. It says "scant bleeding, or blood only when you wipe is not normal and we advise you to phone our aftercare number" - is your bleeding still like this?

hand hold 💕

Did you have any symptoms or side effects after taking the first pill, mifepristone? Xx

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 14:28

@hillarypcof bless you how do you feel after taking the first tablet?

Yeah it pretty much is like that, it's not filled a pad if you get me?

I'll phone them now x

OP posts:
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 14:29

@hillarypcof the only side effect I had was sick but I was being sick anyway so not sure if it was or not 🤦🏽‍♀️

OP posts:
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 14:30

Busy again but I'll keep trying x

OP posts:
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 14:39

Nurse is phoning back within 30 mins.

OP posts:
hillarypcof · 27/08/2020 14:41

I feel fine (I think haha) i think I am paranoid and looking out for symptoms, I know the nurse said I probably wouldn't feel anything after this first one and it is unlikely that bleeding will start, but I've popped a pad in just in case as I'm getting a couple of twinges down there but who knows! I will take the misoprostol around 4PM tomorrow, just over 24 hours that I took Mife.

Keep trying their number and talk it through with a nurse. Were you sick at all after taking the misoprostol tablets? Just trying to think of reasons as to why it might not be happening, but I'm sure it is, every woman's body is different and there is no "one size fits all" textbook. The nurses will know best, give them a call xx

hillarypcof · 27/08/2020 14:42

Great news about nurse call back! Best of luck keep us posted xxx

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 14:50

@hillarypcof Im getting quite concerned that it hasn't worked. I done everything right, followed the instructions to the letter. I can't understand. How can I be the 3 in 1000 that it doesn't work on 😭
I know this doesn't sound great but the blood isn't red blood, it's more like dirty blood if that makes sense? I've not even gone through 1 pad since 8am this morning 😫

I hope you stay alright today, fingers crossed you experience no symptoms and it's all over for you quicker than mine is 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

OP posts:
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 15:03

Ok so basically she said I've got to give it until Saturday at 2pm as it can take 72 hours to fully pass. Although she said at the gestation I think I am she would expect some clots to have come out by now.

If I haven't had any more or it stops then I need to phone back and they'll have to book me in for an emergency scan as it most likely hasn't worked.

She also said as I wasn't sure about my last period I shouldn't have been sent the tablets as I should have has a scan?! @hillarypcof

Hi
I hope you don’t mind me joining in. Just though it would be good to speak to someone going through the same thing. I took my second lot of tablets this morning around 10.30. Fingers crossed things start happening quickly for you 🤞

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 15:11

@Elephants12345 hi, hope things move quickly for you!

As you can see I'm not having a great time of it 🙄

Have you had any symptoms? Xx

OP posts:
hillarypcof · 27/08/2020 15:17

@ohdoriswheresthesalad oh man what a pain and what a nuisance!!!
It sounds like she is very on it though, and I would maybe take them up on their offer of a scan if things don't get moving any time soon. I would have thought they would by now.

Hi @Elephants12345, I hope you're well and hope things move quickly for you 🤞🏻 how is it going so far? Any symptoms since 10.30 this morning? I took the Mife about an hour ago, Miso tablets tomorrow xx

bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 15:19

Just been reading the updates. How frustrating for you @ohdoriswheresthesalad - not what you need.

I had a tiny bit of blood 24 hours after the mife which I wasn't expecting. I did get worried about the miso not working (as after 3 hours had nothing) and at that same time was messaging my friend who said hers took the weekend to work - they did work though. That was the first if heard of it taking longer! I'm sure the nurse had said it was an 8 hour process.

Good to hear you're able to move around a bit now, keep doing that. Mine took a while to start but when they did it was over quite soon x

Elephants12345 · 27/08/2020 15:31

Thank you so much ❤️
Oh bless you I know I was dreading it so so much you must just want it over with.
After taking the first tablet I felt so nauseous all day yesterday up until now it was awful. Tried to get anti sickness meds but was refused by clinic as they don’t prescribe them 🙄 Things started about an hour after taking the first 4 miso tablets. I think I’ve passed everything now. Was starting to get really concerned about the amount of bleeding as I’d been passing huge clots constantly for hours but think it’s starting to ease off now.
Sending you both hugs, it’s such a tough thing to go through xx

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 17:20

@Elephants12345 I'm glad to hear it passed quickly for you, bless you I should think you're quite worn out now. Take care of yourself my lovely and take it steady.

I've had a sleep for a couple hours, tried to take my mind off things but I've woken up feeling really sick again.
Nothing still has happened, no more new blood ☹️

OP posts:
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 27/08/2020 18:45

@bornninthe80s Do you think I'll be ok to have a bath?

@hillarypcof how are you feeling?

@Elephants12345 How are you doing?

OP posts:
bornninthe80s · 27/08/2020 18:46

I was told no bath, rather shower, can you sit in the shower? I have a shower over bath and it was nice to just sit with the hot water on my back.

How good is your DH at foot rubs?
