Hilary · 07/08/2003 10:35

Due on 26th Feb actually but hang around in here too as ds1 was 10 days late and ds2 was 13 days late. Not holding out much hope for a February baby as you can imagine!

moosh · 07/08/2003 15:42

Hi TM, LucieB and Hilary, how have the scans gone? Hope they went well have kept my fingers crossed for you all. I am 10 weeks tommorow, but have to wait till 5th Sept for a scan. Not even heard a heart beat yet, it is soooooooo frustrating. But trying not to worry too much, still feel tremendously sick, carrying my huge boobs round cupped in my hand when I have no bra on and belly still rounded. Going to make cakes with d.s now but will read later or tommorow to read how it has all been for you. (Going to have to produce a fake smile for ds when the small of the cakes get too much!! Urrggghhh!

moosh · 07/08/2003 15:44

Sorry should have been the smell of the cakes!

Tillysmummy · 07/08/2003 16:39

Hi ladies,

Scan went well. I am 7 weeks 6 days, the bean is looking good at 13 mm.

So relieved. Feeling v sick today though.

Hilary · 07/08/2003 17:01

My scan went well too. I am 11 weeks, as I thought, and I saw the details of the baby including heartbeat. Phew!

moosh · 07/08/2003 17:33

Excellent, really pleased for you both!

Tillysmummy · 07/08/2003 17:35

Congrats Hiliary. It's such a relief isn't it ?
I've still got a way to go before im out of the woods but she said it looked good so far.h

Hilary · 07/08/2003 18:35

Any news about LucieB's scan yet?

LEWEI · 07/08/2003 20:56

Congrats to all who had there scans, i am 10 weeks today and feeling verrrrrrrrry hungry one minute and verrrry sick the next but never mind its a good sign>
TM i am so glad that your mind is a bit easier now, i know how traumatic the waiting and wondering is.
I got my scan date, 21 August, two weeks today. I keep thinking "what if there's nothing there" "what if there's something wrong" but i suppose it is only to be expected after a stillbirth and two miscarriages.
I hope you are all well and happy.

dino55 · 07/08/2003 21:39

Hi everyone,do you mind if i join this thread, ive been posting on feb but im due on 23rd feb so it might well be a march baby.Glad to hear your scans went well,i have my scan on monday when i will be exactly 12 weeks,im very nervous but excited at the same time,it seems to take so long to get to that 12 week milestone.

Tillysmummy · 08/08/2003 09:08

Welcome Dino55. Of course you can join us ! LEWEI i bet you can't wait. Im sure it will all be fine. You're feeling all the symptoms so it must be. So you will be 13 weeks when you have your scan, is that Nuchal ?
I feel so sick today.

LucieB · 08/08/2003 09:20

My scan went very well, thanks. It was lovely to see the little one and it was sooooo active!!! Sonographer confirmed my dates - due date 17 Feb 2004. Good to hear that all the other scans went well too....

morocco · 09/08/2003 00:11

hello again everyone - just back from our hols and feeling lovely and rested. I'm afraid I have to join the 'pigging out like mad' group of you, unlike last time when I lost weight in the first 3 months - I can't help worrying what size I'm going to end up!! Everything seems fine and much easier than the last time round so far (fingers crossed). I think I'm having a girl - anyone else got any feelings about it so far (OK rationally I know it's far to early and you can't tell anyway, but hey)

morocco · 09/08/2003 17:23

forgot to add - congrats on scans to everyone who's had theirs so far and a big hello to all the new members

moosh · 13/08/2003 10:01

Hi everyone, hope all is well and this beautiful weather isn't hitting you all to badly. I think when it is really hot, my nausea feels alot worse. 10.5 weks and counting anyone felt there baby yet. I know this sounds weird, but this is my second child and I am sure I can feel the odd movemnent. Last night I laid down on the bed sweating and feeling really sick and trying to calm myself down after an argument with dh, (I blame my hormones). I had my hand on my abdomen area and it felt like a little ripple and a tiny push through the skin. They say you can feel it sooner with your other children rather than your first as you know what you are feeling for. Is that possible, has anyone felt this too at this stage?

spikeycat · 14/08/2003 10:05

well, I started bleeding at the weekend, it stopped but then I had guests to stay, was running round like mad and now here it is back again. Just spoke to the comunity midwives office and they said its probably nothing, to rest (not likely with an 8 month old) and if I am really worried speak to my GP to ask him to refer me for an early scan.
Thing is, I haven't "felt" pregnant at all for a while - hence no posts here

Hilary · 14/08/2003 10:08

Oh no, spikeycat. Do you think you will go for a scan? How many weeks are you? Here's hoping everything will be fine. Sounds as though the weekend was a busy one.

spikeycat · 14/08/2003 10:10

if I can get round the doctors receptionist....

moosh · 14/08/2003 12:48

Hope eveything is ok spikeycat. I am sure you will be fine, did you spot with your last child? My friend spotted with all her three children, but I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Know what you mean about not having any rest with another child. My ds is no longer a baby but is 3.7months and is lively, energetic and doesn't have afternoon naps anymore, I've been up since 1.15a.m. feeling really sick and shooting pains all over my tummy. Had to take the day off work, but can get no rest, oh well, least it is still a beautiful day again and we have just come back from a picnic.I went to the docs the other day because I keep getting shooting pains, quite severe and for a few days, I didn't feel preggas. I wanted to hear a heart beat but she said because I am not high risk I have to wait till my scan. I came away feeling quite upset, but I am trying to reassure myself that all is ok. My scan is the 26 August so not long to wait.

spikeycat · 14/08/2003 14:50

went to the docs, she had a feel round then booked me in to the early pregnancy clinic for a scan tomorrow. they said not to eat anything after 7pm tonight, why would they say that - incase I need a D & C? Can't believe it would all happen that quickly?

chatee · 14/08/2003 20:07

oh hope it goes ok spikeycat, i'll be thinking of you- not posted too much recently as the heat and sickness have left me feeling really low, today is the first day i have felt half human for a long while...
have my 12 week scan on monday and i'm really worried about it, only after this scan will i find a midwife(didn't want to tempt fate)as i know there's not much anyone could have said to reassure me in the last couple of weeks..
take care everyone and i'll post on monday all being well
