Following the success of this thread in "Conception" I thought I would share its cathartic qualities here in "Pregnancy" too.

I'll give you a starter for ten:

Tigress has no symptoms at 6 weeks except for exceptionally sore nipples

See, you can't write THAT on Facebook!

bellatrixiata · 13/07/2009 15:46

bellatrixiata would like everyone to stop telling she's looking "really well" now she's the size of a house again. They weren't so quick to say how good I looked when I lost all that weight last year - happier now I'm back to fat friend, aren't you? AREN'T YOU?

bellatrixiata · 13/07/2009 15:48

bellatrixiata forgot to say how jealous she is of pregnant peeps who just have a bump and not a whole continent added to their b00bs and one more for luck on their behind

flyingcloud · 13/07/2009 15:52

flyingcloud would like a lot more sympathy for the retching, tiredness and all round pathetic-ness.

flyingcloud has not let herself go - she is pregnant...

flyingcloud can't wait for the good bit of pregnancy as she's just plain miserable today having spent all morning hanging over the loo and this afternoon fighting off narcolepsy-style fatigue.

flyingcloud would like to not feel guilty about having so many naps.

Tigresswoods · 13/07/2009 18:11

Tigress feels sick and hungry at the same time. Weird.

Tigress has impending feelings of doom and thinks 12 weeks cannot come soon enough.

Tigress has to pee into a very small tube like bottle tomorrow and then carry it in her handbag all day (to 1:1 with boss) as she can't consider what state she might get into having to pee into aforementioned small tube in a hotel/conference area toilet.

Tigress feels like the weeks are REALLY dragging by.

dal21 · 13/07/2009 18:18

Dal21 hasn't been eating all the pies..she is 13 weeks pregnant and wants to shout it from the rooftops.

mollymook · 14/07/2009 08:01

For the gossipers/tut-tutters:
"Mollymook has NOT put her career first for all these years and is, in fact, pregnant with naturally conceived twins. First go. So bugger off."

For friends who have had children:
"Mollymook has been hit by the worst case of stomach flu ever seen outside a hospital ward and will punch the next person who says 'Oh, you look tired!' "

For people who know me well:
"Mollymook wishes her MIL would realise that these are NOT HER CHILDREN and is that she not about to re-live motherhood all over again."

bellatrixiata · 14/07/2009 10:33

bellatrixiata sympathises with mollymook's stomach flu as she has just had a week of it She also has a similar problem with grandma - except it is her own mother, and thanks her lucky stars that there is only so much interfering that can be done from the other side of the world

pyjamababe · 14/07/2009 18:43

pyjamababe had a scan today that shows she is about 8 weeks

there was a little heartbeat and lots of movement

after her trip to casualty on saturday night with horrible abdominal pains, pyjamababe is over-the-moon now and could have stayed looking at that screen for the next 32 weeks

mothercare website says 8 weeks is about the size of an olive. pyjamababe now thinks olive is a nice name if it's a girl.

EasyEggs · 14/07/2009 19:14

Easyeggs wishes people would stop saying "AGAIN!" after finding out she is having a baby, if I ask any of you to bring her up, pay for her or otherwise engage in her day to day upbringing then feel free to make comment, until then fuck off

Tigresswoods · 14/07/2009 20:03

Tigress has collapsed in tears for no reason for one occasion too many for her DH. He has gone out to get some air. Bugger.

OP posts:
AngelaCarleen · 14/07/2009 21:42

AngelaCarleen doesn't care that she can't eat any more than two mouthfuls at any meal, that she wakes twice a night for a pee, that she's lost weight but got fatter or that she's got morning noon and night sickness. Because she is so excited that she's pregnant!! Actually she's quite enjoying the random sobbing aswell

pyjamababe · 15/07/2009 15:14

angelacarleen I have also lost weight and got fatter?!? I thought I was the only one...So pleased I am not alone...What is that about do you think?

Only stretchy waistbands are comfortable, not a great look, and I am only 8 weeks

Thandeka · 15/07/2009 19:53

Yup another one who has lost weight and got fatter! I have emaciate cheekbones and a pot belly!

Thandeka is happy her work have sent her home until after summer hols coz of swine flu.

GracieGirl · 15/07/2009 20:52

Gracie is pleased to find this thread has made it over from the TTC topic - well done Thandeka and Tigresswoods. Gracie has been following Thandeka on various threads since her admission with a possible ectopic and is really pleased things are going well for her! And Tigress is pregnant! yay!!

GracieGirl · 15/07/2009 20:57

Gracie would just like chamois like to say she couldn't give a toss about work anymore cos she's having a baby!

Gracie is pleased she has made it to 10.5 weeks after miscarrying at 10 weeks last time. Though her nerves could have done without bleeding for the last week - that was uncalled for!!!

Gracie played Duran Duran in the car on the way for her scan (to try and cheer herself up as she thought she was miscarrying again) and when she had the scan her baby was dancing!!

Thandeka · 15/07/2009 21:34

yay Thandeka has a mumsnet stalker! huzzah!

Thandeka is very chuffed for Gracie getting past the 10 week mark and past the bleed panic (am 11weeks tommorrow so due at about same time)

AngelaCarleen · 15/07/2009 22:08

Wishes she'd said something sooner now, I've lost 5kg but am actually seriously contemplating just giving up and going to maternity jeans at 9 weeks 'cos I've got fat around the middle! I thought I was doing something very strange, it's a relief to realise I'm not (that) odd after all!

Also, AngelaCarleen is feeling a lot less perky today and is crying and wishing her husband was at home to look after her, not very much of a feminist I'm afraid

pyjamababe · 16/07/2009 07:19

pyjamababe has to go back to work today, can't tell anyone but her boss why she has been off for 3 days and doesn't fit into any of her work trousers! aaaaarghhhh! have to scream or will cry. again.

GracieGirl · 16/07/2009 07:28

Gracie is taking her 10.5 week fetus to Edinburgh Castle today to see Duran Duran!

Tigresswoods · 16/07/2009 13:35

Tigress waves gleefully at graciegirl hey girlfriend!

Tigress managed to get through a work night out with just one glass of champagne, an early night and when questionned, "why aren't you drinking" shrugged it off with, "ooh, I had a bit of an upset tummy yesterday" yay!

Tigress feels generally like doing nothing

OP posts:
Tigresswoods · 16/07/2009 13:49

Tigress has an early scan tomorrow as pregnancy is result of Clomid- just going to take a peak and make sure there's only one baby in there! Have non-identical twin brothers so quite high risk all round!

Tigress went for booking in appointment this week. What was DH's helpful question following this, "Did they do another test?" "No, DH because I am pregnant- remember?"

OP posts:
shyla01 · 16/07/2009 14:33

shyla01 is pregnant and her head may explode if she doesnt tell someone soon.

sorry for crashing your thread but i have been so tempted to write that on my real fb!

flyingcloud · 16/07/2009 14:57

Flyingcloud is now convinced she looks visibly pregnant and is now almost exclusively in maternity trousers. Although I'm pretty sure most people think I've really let myself go.

Flyingcloud is not sleeping, what the hell is that about this early on?

bellatrixiata · 16/07/2009 15:41

bellatrixiata wishes her joy at being pregnant hadn't been wiped out in one fell swoop by her GD diagnosis yesterday

Deemented · 16/07/2009 16:05

Deemented has put her back out and has SPD. She also has a UTI which is agony. And she has an upstairs loo. Oh Joy.
