Sounds like Hatrick and Franny are going to have babies soon...

18th is a good date to have a MN baby on - that's when DS2 was born

However, for both your sakes, I hope you have 17th babies!

Umlellala · 17/07/2008 14:32

Oh Franny, it sounds good! I think mine is gallantly waiting for yours to go first

I have twigged that some of my agony (for I have been in constant agony since last posting, relieved slightly but not fully by a bath - but not baby related) is prob due to being constipated (I have Ulcerative colitis but haven't been for a day - which is big for me. Sorry if TMI ) so am eating lots of prunes and hoping it will pass. Literally.

Tbh I would be happier with a day or two pain-free (and maybe see dd again - she is with my mum at moment)... and then start the whole labour thing sometime next week. Am tired.

PS How much blimmin show is there?!! Had my show, then some more, then a GIANT blob yesterday, and more today???!! Don't remember this much mucus !

fryalot · 17/07/2008 14:59

umlelella - lots of show is good. Have you told your midwife that you've had several?

pigleychez · 17/07/2008 15:31

afternoon all.

Very bored today! Patience never has been my strong point!

Had a sweep yesterday morning but absoluetly nothing to report. Dont think its going to make the slightest of difference.

Hope things happen for everyone soon

madamez · 17/07/2008 15:34

Has anyone tried running up behind them and shouting "BOO!"?

lulumama · 17/07/2008 15:37

STIM YOUR NIPPLES HOT NEKKID LOVING

for the love of god, will ^someone6, anyone, just have a baby!

i'm looking at you , frances! and hatrick

and umellala

FabioUnblogged · 17/07/2008 15:37

If the giving-birth cake didn't do it I don't know that BOO will....but let's give it a go. We can follow Franny & Hatrick to other threads and BOO! them.

Of course, the advantage of this game is they will not be able to chase and slap us.

Tatties · 17/07/2008 15:41

LOL lulu

EffiePerine · 17/07/2008 15:44

Umlellala: good to hear the H are treating you well . There are some lovely mws there.

Am sending labour vibes to all you overdue ladies

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 16:04

LOL at all
I have been out for 1.5 hour walk and seen my lovely friend who sells alternative everythings
she says she is sure it is all happening and I don't need anything except raspberry tea
but nothing more to report, just big pressure when walking

your multiple shows sound like your baby is not going to wait much longer for me Umlellala

Hatrick and Franny - have you tried doing any diy labour inducing accupressure? I don't where abouts the sites on your body are, but i'm sure someone on MN does.

Also apparantly if you're going to opt for the 'hubby sweep' doggy position is the best because it's more pokey

ExterminAitch · 17/07/2008 16:41

must get off MN and finish work.

must queeeeekly check if hatrick and frank have had any progress...

oh FFS.

springerspaniel · 17/07/2008 16:42

Oh my god. Just had a bstard email from bstard in-laws.

"Any signs yet? We hope it will come soon."

F*CK OFF IN-LAWS.

I just replied with:

"Aargh. I know. Seriously we will tell you when we have a baby."

I'll be damned if I tell them I'm getting induced on Sunday, they'll want a poke by poke account.

pigleychez · 17/07/2008 16:45

Springer- I know what you mean..

Everyone means well...

We keep telling them that we will call the moment ANYTHING happens yet still they call every night asking "any news?"

HumphreyCushioni · 17/07/2008 16:46

Sending happy, peaceful birthy vibes to everyone in an imminent birthing situation.

Not asking any questions about anyone.

Not offering any suggestions.

Just chillin'.

DanJARMouse · 17/07/2008 16:57

Just checked again - and woo hoo, looks like things are progressing.

Happy baby vibes!!!

springerspaniel · 17/07/2008 17:09

It just reminds of the fact that they are going to have to visit. Then they'll want to visit again and again and again...

Oh god - and then there's Christmas.

Just shoot me.

Maybe if I had electric shock therapy, I could learn to like them. I'd be mad but happy.

FabioUnblogged · 17/07/2008 17:16

Is it at all possible to those of you with AAARGGHHH-type friends and relations to say that you have been told your due date was wrong, and actually you're not due for another 3 weeks?

[irony] at nipple twiddling and sex starting a pregnancy and then being used to bring it to a natural conclusion.

springerspaniel · 17/07/2008 17:21

I just don't want to speak to them at all.

My favourite suggestions so far are:

  • tell them I have had the baby but sold it on Ebay to avoid visitors
  • tell them I have had the baby but didn't tell them as I didn't want them to visit
  • tell them I have had the baby but didn't tell them as I only wanted my mother to visit [only works to maximum effect for in-laws]
  • tell them I don't understand why they are so interested when the baby isn't my DH's [again only works for in-laws but I LOVE this one]
FabioUnblogged · 17/07/2008 17:22

springer you'll find copious amounts of wine has the same effect

springerspaniel · 17/07/2008 17:26

Fabio - you are so right.

In-laws must think I am an alcoholic, the amount I drink when they are here. Sometimes it gets to 10:30am on one of their mammoth visits and I fancy a glass.
