Franny I feel faint seeing that bump
I forgot they get so big

Squonk - you are most-knowledgable-about-birth-cheerleader but I am Head Cheerleader because

  1. I've been here longer than you.
  2. I punch harder than you.
  3. I thought of the cheerleading thing

So take that farking badge off or I'll ram it up your arse. Capisce?

Just sending my support to you all. I had DD2 at 40+12 last May (on the day before the full moon! ) so there is hope!

Franny - My induction was booked for 40+16 so I could have every possible chance of a homebirth and my widwife gave me a wink a nod and said if I was 42+1 that I should still giver her a call so she could "see what she could do". She wasn't saying "I'm fine with delivering after 42 weeks", because she wasn't allowed to, but she was letting me know that it would be ok. I think that relaxed me and things got moving.

Am currently 38+4 and already impatient. God help my family, because I am like a bear with a sore head.

your bump makes me want to be pregnant again franny !

sticky out belly button good, it does not pop out if baby is OP!

fryalot · 17/07/2008 11:15

fairynuff. Can I be head cheerleader when it's your turn to be a couple of months overdue and everyone keeps saying "hasn't it come yet? " and you need virtual cake and bacon butties to get you through the day?

lulumama · 17/07/2008 11:16

i have a badge, sou'wester and goggles from when nataliejane was in labour for aaaaaaaaaaaaaages!

LullyOfShallot · 17/07/2008 11:18
TigerFeet · 17/07/2008 11:18

Sou'wester and goggles??? [boggle]

MrsJohnCusack · 17/07/2008 11:21

full moon is GOOD news

Franny, that really is a fantastically round bump. Very good

MamaG · 17/07/2008 11:22

ROAR I don't eat bacon madam, am veggie too!

Yes, I'll hand over to you as Head Cheerleader when I'm overdue. From 1st November you're IT! Get practicing

MrsJohnCusack · 17/07/2008 11:29

is it totally wrong that this thread is making me all broody?

TigerFeet · 17/07/2008 11:31

Me too MrsJC

I have been broody for aaaaaaaaages

mrsmacleod · 17/07/2008 11:36

This recipe is supposed to start labour. Just don't have the energy to make it...

lulumama · 17/07/2008 11:37

don;t ask tiger feet!

lully how are you lovely one?

DumbledoresGirl · 17/07/2008 11:49

F&Z you definitely win the prize for the biggest bump containing one baby that I have ever seen. It looks like you need some sort of hoist just to keep it attached to your body.

Oh it is also definitely the most decorative too. Very nice. Wish I had thought to paint and take photos of my bumps too.

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 11:54

thanks DG and everyone [proud] [scared]

lulu I am getting lots of gripes again
I have got to believe this is good, yes?
but hooooooow loooooooong will it taaaaaaake? the gripes are not uncomfortable enough to be bothering me, but I just want to know am I going to manage to get this poor baby out before the weekend

cause my midwife was not as amenable as 12years to me being at home after 40+14

LullyOfShallot · 17/07/2008 11:58

would they do another rummage today Franny...if you pleaded?

Am okay lovely lulu
How about you & the little ones?

thritbies · 17/07/2008 12:06

Franny am loving the photos, esp the one where it looks like the bump isn't attached to anything, like a ball!

May I suggest you all slam a door for your rage? Have just done so after huge row with dh who then stomped out of house, was most satisfying

sweetkitty · 17/07/2008 12:07

just checking up

anything today ladies

SK think F&Z's absence means something has happened (hope so)

FabioUnblogged · 17/07/2008 12:08

Ooh Franny, that's a great bump!

Are we allowed to guess what it is?

Could all members of the cheerleading squad please note who has handed out the most cake and vote for the leader accordingly. Thank you.

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 12:08

yes probably not now
they will do tomorrow I think

when I walk around, and even better if I jiggle up and down a bit it feels like something HUGE pressing on my pelvic floor, really feels as if something is about to burst

which is very encouraging
but I have heard people say they felt like this for 2 or 3 weeks just because the head was engaged, I think

OP posts:
MamaG · 17/07/2008 12:09

sounds encouraging franny

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 12:09

oh sorry was replying to Lully, hadn't refreshed

yes please do guess, I can't wait to find out if boy or girl

I'd like MORE cake please Fabio

OP posts:
CatIsSleepy · 17/07/2008 12:12

that is an amazing bump franny

good luck with the rummaging etc
hope you see that baby very soon!

fryalot · 17/07/2008 12:13

it does sound encouraging, franny

Heads don't always engage in second and subsequent pregnancies, so if yours has engaged, then that can only be good.

um... fabio, surely I have managed to give the most cake, croissants, scones and foodstuffs...

MamaG here, I've finished with these too

fryalot · 17/07/2008 12:14

here franny, this cake seemed appropriate
