fryalot · 17/07/2008 13:21

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 13:23

I felt like you describe when I was on Number 3 Franny. She was born at 9:21 in the evening. Is it too soon to start the sweepstake for the time of birth? If it is appropriate, I would like to go for 9:21 tonight in honour of my dd.

Are the cramps constant? Like a constant dull ache or are they intermittent?

fryalot · 17/07/2008 13:26

oh, yes, I forgot that I shouldn't be getting myself all excited and convincing you you are in labour when there is a chance that you might not be.

sorry

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 13:26

yes I've got period ish pains and pressure
Tatties it is varying
DG I would be so delighted to have had it tonight
I mustn't get too excited, I was honestly more or less like this last night I think

(why do I keep hitting "refresh"? Tis extremely unlikely that in the next three minutes I am likely to miss Franny posting "oops, I sneezed and had it" then getting the post deleted before I see it. I know this, yet can't stop refreshing the thread just in case)

DumbledoresGirl · 17/07/2008 13:31

Yes Franny, but so was I with dd. In fact, the night before I did not sleep at all as I had contractions all night which promptly stopped the minute I got up. In the end, after a day sounding very much like yours today, I decided to go to hospital for some entertainment, never expecting them to say I was in labour. She was born 3.5 hours later. Come on baby! You can do it!

I think it is a boy btw, but I have no idea as to weight. I wouldn't like to say having seen the bump. Either 14 lbs or Franny is going to flood her house with waters!

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 13:31

no I must get off here
it's raining or I would go for a walk - well, shuffle

hatrick go go go go go go

Oh franny - you poor, poor thing. DS1 was 10 days late and the waiting was hell.

Can you coax it out with a kiwi fruit on a string or something?

LOL Pruners at "gaggle of broody internet sprites"

MamaG · 17/07/2008 13:42

IMO the problem is that Franny is not being lentilly enough and her baby isn't feeling the urge to come out.

I think she should play some whale music with the speakers between her legs, so the music goes whooshing up her cervix into the womb. Maybe some tambourine bashing as well? Light the oddd joss stick?

Baby will think "mama!" and come out.

MamaG · 17/07/2008 13:43

Hatrick - you're goign to start off tonight at 4.11am, baby will be born at home tomorrow morning at 11.16

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 13:43

oh don't MamaG
ds was breech for a while and we were singing and shining torches up there to persuade him to turn round

springerspaniel · 17/07/2008 13:50

mummy2bsoon - no other option - you must divorce him

Cake with birthing mother is vile

TigerFeet · 17/07/2008 13:54

A torch? Really?

Yes, speakers a good idea. Your waters will then break spectacularly, knackering the speakers. Which of course you do not want to happen.

jamiesummers · 17/07/2008 13:55

Franny I have just

said 12 novenas to St Francis Xavier

that your baby arrives within the next 4 hours

then to cover all bases sold my soul to lucifer if he can do the job in the next 3 hours

mummy2bsoon · 17/07/2008 13:58
