Full moon tomorrow, that should get some of you going

Umlellala · 17/07/2008 09:54

PS nope, think my cervix is waaaaay too far back, have had rummage in bath before

fryalot · 17/07/2008 09:55

ooh, umlellalla - that sounds positive. You do have a good hospital, don't you!

If we don't hear back from you, are we to assume that they have induced you and kept you in?

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 10:09

Umlellala your discomfort sounds very difficult to deal with I am sorry - it does sound as if things are at least on the way, but sorry it is taking so long

well I am 40+13 today
just today and tomorrow to go until they will not want me to labour at home, so I really really want things to start off
I am so confused - the midwife was so positive
now nothing at all
I don't know whether I should be pressing on trying to get things moving (sex, alternative therapies, etc) or just relax
neither tactic seems to be having any fricking effect whatsoever

it IS full moon tomorrow
I wonder.......

oh dp is officially on my shit list now bless him! every time I woke up in the night he was whispering "is it coming yet?"
NO IT RUDDY ISN'T DO YOU NOT THINK I MIGHT POSSIBLY MENTION IT IF IT WAS?
I have told him if he starts asking "any news yet" when he is lying 2 foot away from me I will have to kill him

sherby the diy sweep is intriguing
I could no way do it, I am very squeamish indeed about my cervix and so on
the sweep yesterday seemed (she SAID) very likely to get things going so maybe I just need more patience
I'll ask for another tomorrow if nothing's happening

franny - is he also having to put up with people saying "has she not had it yet then?"

Not that I am in any way excusing him for being a twat for saying it of course

Tatties · 17/07/2008 10:12

What did Mars say further down the thread? Something like watch something really funny and relax

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 10:14

yes lots of people are texting / phoning HIM so as not to annoy ME
of course he conveys all messages back to me and I still get THE RAGE

we should be channelling some of this overdue psychotic anger you know
I am sure if we were hooked up to the national grid we could do some good

fryalot · 17/07/2008 10:15

EEC · 17/07/2008 11:01

That is fantastic Franny! I thought about getting mine facepainted at the school fete but DD was not keen! Don't know why!

Feeling sorry for DC's. DD (10) is expecting me to be in hospital every time she comes out of school, and everytime she wakes up. She is starting to sleep badly, and has started getting anxious about whether I will have enough time to come and say goodnight to her when LO comes etc. This waiting is not good for any of us. I am trying to assure her that anything will be better than current miserable, short tempered Mum who hasn't got the energy to do anything!

DS isn't too worried, just bored, as he is on holiday, DD hasn't broken up yet and I can't do anything with him. Perhaps he would like to paint my tummy! (he's 12!)

Franny - I get annoyed at DH asking me how I am (I am obviously a hoorible person with absolutely no patience whatsoever) so would go spare at 'is it coming yet?'

Poledra · 17/07/2008 11:02

Aaaarrrrgh! Now officially overdue by 1 day, called hospital as instructed at 6am this morning. When they found out I was not having any contractions etc, told me they were very busy and please call back at 8.30am. So after a couple of hours fitful dozing, called back at 8.30, when the dayshift mw said Oh, we thought you weren't calling in till 6pm. We're still too busy, call us back at midday. And if we're still too busy, you can come in for assessment then go home again. Yeah right! I'm up for induction because of histoincompatability with the baby you silly woman, not because I am very overdue. So I don't really see that assessment is going to do me much good, unless you're planning on doing a doppler scan on me to check for anaemia of course.

Whine whine whine. Only possible sign was the small sneeze in my gusset when I went to the loo this morning - not enough to be called a show, I've seen my toddler produce more mucus without any effort at all.

TigerFeet · 17/07/2008 11:09

A little something for all you overdue ladies
