Starting a new thread and hope it will fill up in the next few weeks

I am a bit nervous starting this group as I am still SO early, only just testing positive this morning at 9DPO, ive taken 3 tests just to be sure. Hoping for a sticky bean, I am not a stranger to chemical pregnancies so really keeping everything crossed, its so nerve wracking!

I've gone off 'conception date' rather than LMP as I ovulate late, and for me, its more accurate - this brings me to due date 1st August 2026.

If others would like, I can start a Facebook group, maybe in a few weeks, I found the group sooo useful with my first little one! Let me know πŸ₯°

How is everyone? Any symptoms yet?

I had a scan as I was having small amounts of light pink discharge. I was supposed to be 10 weeks according to Lmp, but scan showed 5 weeks 5 days, going back this week for a follow up scan to see if there's a heartbeat/growth. However there's been no bleeding or discharge since just before the 1st scan. No cramps, no nothing. I'm just very confused at how I was due my period the 12th Dec, didn't get it, then got a positive on 22nd Dec. Is it possible I could've conceived a couple of days before my period was due? Reason for confusion is, how my lmp would put me at 10 weeks, that's a 4 week discrepancy πŸ€”

BeKindPinkOP do you track bbt at all? If you both ovulated and implanted late then that could take you closer to your period date, but I dont think that would work out to a full four weeks. Did they discuss any of the other potential reasons with you?

I dont want to stress you more, but with my mmc there was no bleeding or cramping. That's why they are normally missed. Hoping for a better outcome for you, and maybe a date mix up plus late implantation. Fingers crossed your next scan shows some progress.

I don't track no, I didn't want to pressure myself or be disappointed if I didn't catch. I know that when I've been pregnant with my 2 daughters I'm usually about 2/3 weeks behind compared to the lmp date but never 4 weeks. They didn't discuss anything really tbh, they just said to come back next week. I've had mmc and mcs but they haven't been like this, that's what's keeping me in limbo. They said there's no bleeding that they can see that could have caused the pinky discharge, but they did say there's a small amount of blood in the yolk sac next to the baby. Not sure if that means it will likely be a mc either. I just wish they could give me the hard truth but they won't until I've been for the next scan πŸ˜” thank you though xx

Hopefully if you've measured small with other pregnancies then that plus a late implantation date could explain it. Was it 10 days past your period was due that you got your first positive? That might suggest a late implantation too if initial tests didn't come up positive.

The wait in between is horrible. Got everything crossed for good news next week and for this week to pass as quickly as possible.

Oh I really do hope so! Well I did a test the 13th a day after I was due and got a clear neg, then 17th i got a faint positive, 22nd strong positive. Aww thanks hun, I will update either way. Praying its a sticky one x

Hoping everyone is doing well. Just checking in here, I’m 12+1 today and everything seems to be ticking along. My due date is August 10th, which means all my children will be fire zodiac signs (help). Still struggling with sickness, but it’s been a smidge better. Just a smidge. In that awkward stage where I don’t look outwardly pregnant but none of my clothes fit. Also I gave away all of our baby stuff to a friend last summer when we thought we were done having kids! So now I am starting to think about everything I will need to get and feeling slightly overwhelmed. Lots of time yet, and I’m hoping to find most things second-hand. Has anyone else been struggling with low mood? Just feeling down in the dumps lately, mostly due to the sickness and freezing cold weather here in Canada. Looking forward to spring.

JennyTig · 28/01/2026 16:36

@LoveYouHoneybear sorry to hear you're feeling low. My sickness has pretty much completely lifted now after a couple of months and it was making me miserable, the cold dark weather certainly doesn't help either!

Now that I'm feeling better my mood has definitely improved. Now I'm dealing with home renovations and the fatigue still being here but it feels SO much better than the nausea.

Hang in there and hopefully it lifts for you soon. I had a big increase in feeling better during week 13 (now in week 14)

LoveYouHoneybear · 28/01/2026 20:48

@JennyTigthanks so much for the words of encouragement- I’m so hoping to see some relief by next week! Renovations sound absolutely daunting. Have you announced your pregnancy yet? I have not. Just waiting for my NIPT results to come back.

JennyTig · 29/01/2026 16:39

@LoveYouHoneybear not announced widely but my family and close friends know. Still feels daunting to tell people!

I'm self employed so no workplace to tell (have told the person I work alongside) and a couple of the mums at my kids school.

We're having a gender scan on 14th Feb, and I think I'll make it a bit more public then (I am also sporting quite a large bump with this one!), but will be much more open about it after the 20 week scan is out of the way in early March.

After that 20 week scan I'll tell my boy about his future sibling which I am SO excited for πŸ₯°

When are you expecting NIPT results back?

LoveYouHoneybear · 31/01/2026 13:48

@JennyTigprobably will get NIPT results in the next week or two? Unsure, this is my first pregnancy in Canada! I must admit I miss the UK system. It’s near impossible to get a midwife where I live, so everything is handled with GP until I transition to an OB around 28 weeks.

oh it will be so lovely to tell your son! My daughters know there’s β€œa baby in mom’s tummy.” They love talking about all the ways they are going to β€œhelp” lol.

BeKindPinkOP · 01/02/2026 01:16

Thought I would update from what I posted.

Sadly it was confirmed baby had stopped growing at last scan on thursday, so had medical management for miscarriageon friday morning. This then turned into the scariest time of my life. I had the rare hemorrhaging side effect. Lost consciousness and needed a blood transfusion after bleeding severely for 7hrs so needed 2 litres and emergency surgery, blood pressure tanked to 74/50. I think this has completely traumatised me and I will be petrified to ever get pregnant again. I don't know the correct place to get this off my chest as most people didn't know I was pregnant, wondering if anyone knows of anywhere I can get support in the UK.
I will be coming off this thread, but congratulations to all of you on here, on your blessings due in August, I hope for a happy, health safe birth of your bundles of joy 🫢

LoveYouHoneybear · 01/02/2026 16:32

Oh my god @BeKindPinkOPI am so sorry you had to go through all that. Please take care of yourself, wishing you all the best x

Sabrinatheblue · 02/02/2026 10:19

Im really sorry @BeKindPinkOP That sounds utterly horrendous, you are completely valid to feel traumatised. I didn't use Tommy's, but I was told be a couple of women that they are great for more support. Take care of yourself x

Faithincats · 03/02/2026 00:02

@BeKindPinkOP I'm so sorry about what you have been through. As a PP said, Tommy's is a good place to start. I was supported by them after my third miscarriage and they were a huge support. Take care of yourself x

Hi everyone, joining as a friend recommended after these groups were a godsend for her! Am 14 weeks, first time pregnancy and have started to tell people - which is lovely - scan and test results all look good so far. Struggling with sickness (most days) and hoping that lifts soon. Very nervous to tell work. Look forward to being a part of this group x

Tes004 · 08/02/2026 12:32

Hi ladies - im wondering how many ppl have stop start symptoms- im currently 9-10 weeks but remember being so much sicker in previous pregnancies- also was put back by a week when I went for my last scan which is impossible as that would have ment I tested positive within a day or so of ovulation. I keep worrying about things even though I’ve seen a healthy baby and heartbeat on a scan - I get twinges of nausea but nothing significant in a few days - previous I had severe ms with all pregnancy all were boys. Im trying to just be positive that I’m doing ok this time but worried it means something isn’t right … anyone else experiencing this x

If anyone is joining the WhatsApp group via the link posted here recently please can you post on the thread to say you’ve requested to join? We’ve had quite a lot of bots and fake people joining and we are obviously worried about keeping the group safe and secure since it is about our babies ❀️

Just requested :) Had my 12 week scan today x

pheebs21 · 03/03/2026 07:31

Completely forgot to come back and request to join after my scan! 17.5 weeks now.
My pic is of me and my partner @Clarysjb

Could I join please, I’ve requested this evening.

Can some one let me back i to the WhatsApp group chat please. I was one of the originals in that group but they decided to cull a load of members who weren't reading and responding quick enough. I work 2 jobs so time to read 400+ messages is limited. If you need to PM me then feel free.
