Starting a new thread and hope it will fill up in the next few weeks

I am a bit nervous starting this group as I am still SO early, only just testing positive this morning at 9DPO, ive taken 3 tests just to be sure. Hoping for a sticky bean, I am not a stranger to chemical pregnancies so really keeping everything crossed, its so nerve wracking!

I've gone off 'conception date' rather than LMP as I ovulate late, and for me, its more accurate - this brings me to due date 1st August 2026.

If others would like, I can start a Facebook group, maybe in a few weeks, I found the group sooo useful with my first little one! Let me know πŸ₯°

How is everyone? Any symptoms yet?

Hi everyone πŸ₯° I’m about to hit 11 weeks and my best friend recommended this thread as a place to make friends and meet new people who are also pregnant. How are we all? I’m rather nervous. I’m 34 and this is my first pregnancy and I’m super excited. Also very terrified.

Welcome to all the new joiners. Hoping you’re doing well. There’s a WhatsApp group you might like to join if you search this group.

Yes please 😁 I’m not sure how to find it using the search?

Hi Ladies, my results came back in Badger notes and all back low risk which is great.

I'm in my early 40's, and for my age I was expecting it to be fairly high but 1 in 7000+ for Edwards and Patau and 1 in 800+ for Downs.

NT of 1.4 probably brought it down quite a bit, I haven't been told what my HCG or PappA is, I guess I'll see that on my letter.

I could see the results on Friday (only 3 days after the scan) but I've seen in others trusts it takes longer so don't want to give false hope.

I was thinking of joining the WhatsApp group but not sure if my new date of 26th July is a bit too far out of August?

I've reached out in the July group too. It's funny being right at the start or end of a month because you fit into both groups for people who are close to the same gestation!

My friend is in the July group if you do decide - she’s lovely!

a lot of people in this one will end up with July babies (date changes, early births or planned sections) so it’s up to you. A 1/3 of my December group were born in November!

9 weeks was the peak for me, so hopefully it eases up for you soon! Agree Christmas wasn't the most enjoyable, I had to take myself off for a nap after the food, and I couldn't eat much.

11 weeks today and the nausea feels more manageable (relatively of course, if I wasn't pregnant I'd be thinking I wasn't well at all πŸ˜…) and had been easing since 10 weeks, but the fatigue is kicking my butt still.

I am feeling reassured by this. I’m 8+2 today (nausea started at 4+0) and I’m getting fed up!

BeKindPinkOP · 17/01/2026 23:40

Hey,

I think I'm 9+1 today, based on LMP, but I do have a very regular period (28days). This is my 9th pregnancy with 2 living daughters. I had horrific hypremesis gravidarum with my first 2, starting at 5 weeks.. waiting for the sickness to kick in this time, but nothing as of yet. I'm wondering could this be a boy?! Although happy with any sex. I also have a gap of 8 years with this little peanut so I'm a bag of nerves as to how tough it'll be at 33 compared to 25. I also find myself looking up what is norm for pregnancy as I don't feel any different, and I'm used to feeling rough as at this point.
Congratulations to all on this thread, its super exciting isn't it xx

Hang in there! I was feeling so fed up, I have barely left the house in weeks and really does affect your mental wellbeing.

I'm 13 weeks today and although I have mild nausea, it's nothing compared to 8/9 weeks. Hoping the same for you and things pick up for you soon.

Bring on that second trimester "glow" for all of us!

Welcome to the thread :)

I have one friend whose second was pretty symptom free, whereas I'm pregnant with my second now and my nausea has been worse than with my first. Backs up the theory of every pregnancy is different!

I think I'll join as I am still close to some of the due dates, and baby might decide to arrive late and be an August baby!

LPiper · 18/01/2026 11:51

Thank you so much ☺️ I’m aware it could be so much worse (and it’s for a good cause) but you still can’t help but feel a bit sorry for yourself! Wishing you all the best

Wherestheteenguide · 18/01/2026 14:36

Scan due tomorrow. Was all going hunky dory, had brown discharge a bit yesterday and just seen first bit of fresh blood today. Expecting the worst now tomorrow. Oh and I'm moving house at the same time. Feeling really rubbish!

pheebs21 · 19/01/2026 11:53

Hello, I have on and off lurked here a bit when I can. I have my 12 week scan next Tuesday, bit nervous as I had a miscarriage the cycle before this one, but so far so good i believe🀞🏻. Hard to know due date because of that but around 7th August if I go off of the loss atm.
My nausea/sickness has been quite bad at times, but travel sickness bands have helped me (although I lost one recently πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚), they mainly help me to not feel so ugh at meal times.
I'll join social groups probably after my scan just to be safe, but I've loved being part of them with my previous 2 children, we still chat in them (2021 and 2022 babies)

Wherestheteenguide · 19/01/2026 14:42

Scan confirmed MMC today so I'll leave this group now. Many blessings to all the rest of you πŸŒΊπŸ™‚

JennyTig · 20/01/2026 16:10

So sorry to hear about your loss @Wherestheteenguide. Sending love.

Wherestheteenguide · 20/01/2026 20:25

Thanks @JennyTig been an emotional rollercoaster that's for sure!

If anyone is joining the WhatsApp group via the link posted here recently please can you post on the thread to say you’ve requested to join? We’ve had quite a lot of bots and fake people joining and we are obviously worried about keeping the group safe and secure since it is about our babies ❀️

wandatotherescue · 21/01/2026 17:21

@Clarysjbi just requested to join! I have a black and white wedding pic as my WhatsApp profile picture
