Hi all, how we getting on? @BessieByehope you’re ok and taking things steady!

I’m 25 weeks tomorrow and it’s hit me that the 3rd trimester is very close now and I’m still waiting for that “glow” and “bloom” it’s just never going to come. I’m over the worst of my flu but I’m very tired still and this week my nausea has come back and my heartburn is insane. Nice moments though I’m feeling little dude more consistently and his movements are getting stronger.

I’m high risk for various reasons so from 28 weeks my appts will be ramping up with growth scans & the consultant at 28, 32 and 36 weeks. Also looking like I’m going to go for an elective section - partially the reason I’m high risk is after a very fast delivery 4 years ago which left me with an injury that can’t be rectified until we are done having children.. pretty sure we will be sticking with 2 once this one is born.

Hope everyone is doing well! 🙂

Has anyone had experience with haemhorroirds in pregnancy , I had mild ones in my last pregnancy but I woke up 3 days ago with huge haemhorroids , they’ve now thrombosed and I’m using steroids and sits baths and they just haven’t improved , I’m not able to think straight with the pain , I’ve no constipation

NovembHer · 26/08/2025 15:46

This thread doesn’t seem very popular compared to the other monthly due date threads! Is it just because we are all in the ‘not much happening’ period of pregnancy (at c. 28-32 weeks…?).

I’m suffering a bit with PGP and sciatica (sometimes one, sometimes both) which is a frustration and I feel like I’m already slowing down - I felt ok far longer in my first pregnancy.

The combination of toddler, pregnancy, work and a commute are also probably not helping - I am exhausted much of the time.

Yet to do any real preparation - given the time the baby is due, I think I am subconsciously waiting to buy newborn clothing in exclusively festive patterns…!

Hi. Just found this…can I join please?

I’m due baby number 2 30th November but definitely won’t be allowed to get that far!

breakfastdinnerandtea · 27/08/2025 09:29

My boys are measuring small for their gestation so I’m having to go for an extra scan next week. I’m nervous about it and what might come of it.
I’m suffering massively with constipation, insomnia, and walking 😂 I did not sleep well last night at all.
How is everyone else doing?

breakfastdinnerandtea · 27/08/2025 09:31

Oh and last night while I was awake, I thought a bug had landed on me and went to brush it away and it turns out it was my boob leaking. Fab.

Why won’t you be allowed to go that far?

I went to 42 weeks and was induced last time, so praying that doesn’t happen again and thinking about what I can do to avoid it.

I think the poor sleep means you sleep lightly and so have strange dreams…!

Good luck with the scan. The measurements are notoriously inaccurate - I know people told their babies were both tiny and huge who then had the opposite.

MuddledUpAgain · 27/08/2025 13:02

@NovembHermy first child was SGA (not known until my ELCS) and my placenta was failing. So it’ll be an ELCS before 40 weeks. I’ve also got extra growth scans so if they see anything on there, they will pull me in even earlier.

@breakfastdinnerandtea I feel you with the poor sleep and pain walking!

MuddyMoments · 29/08/2025 10:05

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing ok! I’ve been laying low for a while and kept checking in on activity. I’m 29 weeks tomorrow and 3rd trimester-ness has begun. My sleep isn’t great anymore and I’m definitely feeling more aches and pains. My appointments have ramped up too due to various high risk factors so growth scan and consultant every 4 weeks. Had one of these appts this week and got to see baby boy who is growing well and touch wood everything all looking good so far.

I’m still on the fence about vaginal delivery or an elective section, I have a birth choices appt on the 12th and will discuss further with the consultant at 32 weeks. The main reason for the choice is when I had my little boy in 2021 his labour and delivery was very fast and have been left with an injury which still affect as me 4 years later and hopefully will be corrected by surgery after this baby! I also haemorrhaged. I’m just worried it will be even faster this time round it was about 4 hours start to finish the first time from first twinge to my little boy been born, not to mention the blood loss again, or how my injury will be during a vaginal delivery. But then elective section comes with its risks too as I do have a high BMI, has anyone had any experience with a section and high BMI, what was recovery like?

Faithless12 · 11/09/2025 19:02

Hi all how are we doing. Nearly everyone should be in the third trimester now. How is baby prep going? I don’t start my maternity leave until I’m 37 weeks and am somewhat leaving things until then but realise I really should pack the hospital bag before then and potentially buy a car seat.

NovembHer · 11/09/2025 19:48

@Faithless12 Very very tired and not sure how I will make it to 40 weeks at the moment.

Working full time and have a toddler, this week commuting during the underground strike has also meant a lot of walking which has been quite painful and tiring.

I was in much better shape physically first time around, I think I was anyway!

Booking a John Lewis session is quite useful to discuss car seats and prams. I’ve been buying some bits of clothes etc - but feel a bit silly doing so, like it’s for a doll. Unsure why given I’ll have a baby in <8 weeks.

breakfastdinnerandtea · 12/09/2025 14:49

I am seriously finding difficult to get comfortable. I am not comfortable sitting down, standing up, lying down, or walking. What other options are there? If I stand or walk then my back aches, if I lay down then my hips hurt, and when I’m sat I get this really weird patch on my skin that is both simultaneously numb and painful that nobody knows what it is.
I can get comfortable when I’m kneeling and resting on a soft surface like the couch or my bed, but this doesn’t last long because my shoulders or knees start to hurt after a while. What else can I do?! 😂

Hey, I find sitting on a yoga ball ok, for a while. It kind of helps lower back pain if you have a gentle bounce. Might be worth a try?

Faithless12 · 12/09/2025 20:36

@NovembHer I hear you on the tired. It feels like I’ve just been tired the whole time, I don’t even have a toddler to blame😫
We’ve booked an appointment with mamas and papas but have pretty well decided on pram etc..
@breakfastdinnerandtea I’ve found I need plenty of pillows for sitting on the sofa and even really for lying down, for lying down it’s mainly support for my back and bump.

Nikkix86 · 05/10/2025 00:42

Hi all, hope you are all doing ok. I'm nearly 33 weeks now and well and truly fed up 😅 got diagnosed with gestational diabetes and just generally in alot of pain but due to this being my fourth section I think I'll have baby around 38 weeks so not too long left.

I think it's quiet in here because of the WhatsApp group, two girls have already had their babies early this week ☺️

Emma35678 · 05/10/2025 08:33

@Nikkix86sorry the hear you have been diagnosed with GD. I’m hoping you’re keeping ok. Can I ask everyone when there discomfort / pain began? Apart from waking up with the occasional numb hip, and the the Pelvic pain I have getting out if bed I haven’t yet been too uncomfortable - I’m trying to gauge if at 32 weeks I’m lucky enough to be one of those who sail through pregnancy (touching wood) or if I’m going to be hit with a shock later down the line 😂

how are girls who have had there babies? I’m hoping both Mamma’s and babies are doing good.

I will be putting together my birth plan at the next midwife appointment, as a first time mum, I have a rough idea of what I would like but haven’t experienced anything (apart from witnessing a traumatic use of forceps) first hand. For the ladies who are already Mammas, is there anything you are choosing to avoid this time after experiencing it in another pregnancy? Forceps, induction etc?

Nikkix86 · 05/10/2025 10:06

Mine is in my pelvis, hips and legs so walking, turning over in bed or just generally getting comfy is really painful.

Another lady had her baby yesterday she's doing great, the other two are in NICU as they were quite early but still doing really well ☺️

xTinkerbell · 05/10/2025 13:52

@Nikkix86 is it pgp you have? I have it and I’m so miserable

Faithless12 · 07/10/2025 07:28

33 weeks and some change here. I’m not on the WhatsApp group, hopefully the mums and baby’s who have arrived early are doing well.

I haven’t written my birth plan yet but have looked on badger notes and there’s so many open ended sections it puts me off.

PeachK · 28/10/2025 07:10

Hello! Just found this thread and wondered if I could join the WhatsApp group please? My baby is due on 8 Nov but having an ECS a week today. Suddenly realised how isolated I feel about being a new mum again. I’m the first of my friends to have a second baby and feeling a bit daunted by it now! I was on a MN WhatsApp group with my first baby and it was so nice to have other mums to message in the middle of the night! Thanks 😊

xTinkerbell · 29/10/2025 01:43

My little one decided he couldn’t wait until his section date and arrived yesterday at 39 weeks exactly,

First baby and first time i’ve gone into labour before due date/section date
