@Nikkix86 is that guess based on both sets of scan photos though? what do you think to the most recent photos from 13+6? as early glimpse have just baffled me how they can predict for same baby 2 different genders! 😆 & ohhh what time is your scan? interesting is that as i swear over last few days i have felt something random going on in their but low down and to the side? x

The nub isn't at clear on the 13 week pics but I'm sure I can see it in the second pic and still looks girly to me. My 20 week scan is at 9:40 so at least it's early 😅 I couldn't of waited 8 weeks so glad I have the gender scan in the middle. Yeah it's like something is tickling me from the inside 🤣 I don't feel it everyday though

XxMummyTo5xX · 27/05/2025 22:44

@Nikkix86 ohh thats lucky for you then! mine is at 11:25 lol & n'awwww 🥰 i cant wait for the day that we just know for sure our babies are kicking, punching and doing whatever else rather than qustion it and be like "was that baby or wind!" 😂😂 dont want to wish pregnancy away like but just cant wait until i can see my belly move as baby does 🥰

@XxMummyTo5xX I can deal with it being anterior but I’m terrified of accreta. My anxiety is so bad I think I’m looking for signs of it. I don’t think I’ll relax until my 29 week scan.

I was the same with my second pregnancy, didn’t feel a thing until after my 20 wwwk scan.

How many weeks are you now? I had a scan at 19ish weeks with my second where they told me my placenta was low lying. As I’d had a previous c section they were worried it would adhere to my scar but also said since it wasn’t completely covering the cervix there was a good chance it would move up and they would rescan me at 30 weeks to check. Said if it didn’t move it would be a c section but I was planning an elective anyway. Told me if any bleeding to go to hospital straight away etc but I didn’t have any bleeding caused by the placenta being low lying. I did have one bleed caused my an SCH but my body reabsorbed that and it couldn’t be seen on a later scan.

If it’s not moved by your 20 week scan try not to worry too much. I worried myself silly and it had moved up by 30 weeks. My consultant this time round said it can be a common finding at 20 week scans and most low lying placentas do move up.

XxMummyTo5xX · 28/05/2025 12:58

@xTinkerbell im only 14+2 🙄 lol but all this got discovered when i was refered to EPAU for bleeding.. tbf i have never heard of accreta? so honestly i dont have a clue what that means! but thanks for the lovely message, its helpful to know someone has previous experience of this, as i have never experienced a low lying placenta before and im sure she said it looks like some of the placenta is slightly covering cervix and technically it isnt attatched to the uterine wall so can start to degrade? is this true? she did say at my 20week scan they will check placenta again and hopefully it will of moved🤞🏻 as to be fair, the thought of having to have a c-section is frightening me more!! lol x

@XxMummyTo5xX I’m at risk of it because I’ve had 3 previous c sections. My consultant said the risks are small but I just can’t get it out of my head. Probably because in my second pregnancy a different consultant terrified me talking about it.

I’ve definitely never heard that before. Fingers crossed it moves for you. It’s definitely still very early and from everything I’ve been told normal for it to be low at this stage.

Honestly, don’t worry about a csection. It might not happen & even if it does, yes it hurts like hell in the recovery but it gets better much quicker than you expect it to.

Are people looking at car seats etc yet?

XxMummyTo5xX · 28/05/2025 14:07

@Faithless12 no worries :-) and its a no from me for looking at car seats just yet, fat too early! although i know some like to be super organised and get everything they need early - not a problem with that 😊 im an organised person don't get me wrong but i love an online sale, black friday, baby eventsn etc.. soo i tend to wait for those tbf to get anything like that if im honest x

I've had 3 previous sections and the first time placenta has been at the front so I'm now panicking it's going to be in the way of my scar 😭

XxMummyTo5xX · 28/05/2025 15:19

@Nikkix86 ohh your brave!!.. & bless you hun :/ so will they have another check on your placenta position at your 20week scan then? x

OP posts:
xTinkerbell · 28/05/2025 15:27

@Nikkix86 I have no idea where my placenta is. Not mentioned at 12 week scan but lack of movement is making me think it’s probably anterior and i’m so worried.

previous c sections cause so much anxiety sometimes don’t they?

Yeah I guess they will just keep an eye on it, not sure if it's high or low at the moment she didn't really mention it at my 12 week scan just that it was anterior x

XxMummyTo5xX · 28/05/2025 16:46

@Nikkix86 so many of us seem to be having an anterior placenta in our pregnancies its crazy! haha 😆 x

@XxMummyTo5xXplease keep us posted! I’m fighting so hard not to book one either but going to wait until my 20 week scan on 27th.

Also does anyone have any ideas what I can wear as a plus size in this weird warm but wet weather? I feel massive and seem to have just popped nothing fits and I just feel huge!

I've been living in maxi dresses really 😅 it's the only thing I feel comfortable in. I didn't buy a couple of pairs of maternity jeans for the colder days

XxMummyTo5xX · 29/05/2025 21:32

@MuddyMoments i will do 😊 and also was going to suggest a maxi dress but @Nikkix86 has already beaten me too it haha! but i've been living in at min maternity shorts & leggings with a baggy Tee ✌🏻 xx

Thanks ladies! I’m struggling so much more this time round with how my body is changing. I’m going to the seaside for a few nights next week too and the thought of packing was making me anxious. I know in the grand scheme of things with what we are all going through, what to wear is very low down the list! Just makes me feel more human if I feel comfortable. As I’m bigger anyways finding maternity clothes is so hard! Almost feels like the market doesn’t think plus size women can get pregnant which is very sad.

XxMummyTo5xX · 30/05/2025 10:56

@MuddyMoments have you tried looking online at newlook hun? they do maternity clothes up to a size 26, if you sign up you will get 25% off too :-) hope that is helpful x

Hello, I'm struggling mentally a little and was wondering if doing more baby prep would help me out. Has anyone else started buying, decorating or setting up cribs and cots? Am I jinxing things?

We’ve been looking at things but haven’t bought anything yet that we didn’t already have.
Provisionally we aren’t buying anything until after the 20 week scan.
