I had my 20 week scan yesterday , all good , baby measuring on track , don’t know if I’m having a boy or girl so all excitement here . I haven’t started buying yet but trying to grab an out and about double running buggy from their refurbished section ! You have to be so quick !!!

xTinkerbell · 20/06/2025 10:27

all good at 20 week scan. Placenta high and at the back so can finally stop worrying about accreta

Ooh congratulations @SoonMummyToBeOf6💙

I’m finding it so hard trying to resist booking a private scan to find out! I have a little boy already and I really am not fussed what this one is, as long as all is healthy. It’s so hard I’ve still got 2 and a half weeks to wait until my NHS scan at 20 weeks!

It's so nice to have a safe place to share our experiences 🤗

We have our 20 week scan booked for 30th June & praying baby is healthy 🤞🏼🙏🏻🤞🏼🙏🏻

Just for fun... any suggestions on the nub theory? 💝💙🤔

It's such a relief getting the 20 week scan reassurances. Half way there now 💞

I think girl but I don’t know. I think ours is a boy but we aren’t finding out.

20 week scan is 3rd July for us.

Nikkix86 · 22/06/2025 11:54

Hey girls I've been very quiet the last couple weeks, had a festival which I was at for 5 days and just been super busy. This heat is killing me I can't bare it when I'm pregnant 😅 hope you are all doing ok, I have my 20 week scan on the 9th July so still got a couple of weeks yet. I've finally started to feel tiny kicks (anterior placenta) but I can't wait till they are more noticeable

SoonMummyToBeOf6 · 22/06/2025 20:14

@FlorenceB19 im going to take a guess and i think girl 🩷

MyZippyLemonBiscuit · 22/06/2025 21:49

Hi everybody, I really would appreciate advice from you fellow mamas.
Im supposed to be going on holiday for 2 weeks, the journey is 3 hours by car. And the nearest hospital there is 1 hour away from my caravan, they also only have resources to stabilise baby if born early (I’d be 23/24 weeks), but we’d then be transported to another hospital which is 2 hours away from both myself and the holiday destination as they’re the closest place with the equipment needed for such a prem baby. I know I sound overly cautious but I’m a supposedly very high risk pregnancy and have basically been told to be thankful for every week that passes and baby’s still alive.
My female relatives have all said they wouldn’t go and it’s just something that hasn’t crossed my mind until I learned how far away the hospital was! Sorry for the long post x

MuddyMoments · 23/06/2025 09:07

Aww @MyZippyLemonBiscuitsorry you feel so torn have you spoken to your midwife or consultant about it? And what they think? I know they won’t likely give you a definitive answer but they should be able to give guidance from a medical perspective and personal to your pregnancy journey?
Are you much closer to hospital and medical services at home? Is that why maybe you also feel anxious. I too am lucky I’m only like a 20 mins drive to the hospital where I’ll be delivering. An hour doesn’t scare me though but I do get your concerns. Due to the risk factor and if you need to do the 2hrs away journey. Sorry I don’t feel like much help and can’t give you a definitive answer x

JuniperandI · 23/06/2025 09:29

Hello everyone

I'm due 30th November but would love a December baby!

I'm exactly 17 weeks today and have felt a distinct tap between by belly button and pubic bone. Now I think that's baby, but I'm not sure. Would I feel just one tap and then nothing? Perhaps they're having a morning stretch in there 🤗

breakfastdinnerandtea · 23/06/2025 11:41

I posted on the other thread but I’ve been a bit busy since! I am 19+6 today, due on 11.11 but I have a strong suspicion that I’ll go early, because there are two in there 😂 I have my 20 week on Wednesday. We weren’t going to find out but when we found out they are twins we thought we probably should!
We have definitely been buying stuff because we’re trying to spread the cost. Also struggling to sleep and already have the waddle.

SoonMummyToBeOf6 · 23/06/2025 12:49

@breakfastdinnerandtea n'awww congratulations on your twins! must be something magical to carry 2 babies at the same time 🥲 i have always wondered what it would be like to have multiples 🥰 are they identical?

breakfastdinnerandtea · 23/06/2025 13:43

At the moment, aside from being bigger already, it isn’t too different from my singles, but they are in their teens so it feels so long ago! I haven’t felt them move so much but every now and then I get a lot of swooshy feelings which I assume is them having a good old wriggle.
They’re not identical. I shouldn’t have been as shocked as I was, since we have a fair few in the family.
I am wishing the next few days away! I’m nervous but excited to see them again.

I’m the same at home it’s just up the road from the hospital, and I’ve been told by the consultant that it’s likely I could go into preterm labour, I have 4 separate high risk issues so seems silly to me to risk baby’s life by being so far away from a hospital, and then the 2 hour journey from the first hospital to the second anything could happen, then the baby would have to stay 4 hours away from my home until he’s ready to come home!
ive decided not to go x

@MyZippyLemonBiscuitI’m glad you’ve made a decision. I get it’s so hard.
Fortunately I’m not high risk like you. I am under the consultant for various things but I’m having a wobble. We fly to Menorca next Tuesday. There is no medical reason why I shouldn’t go but I’m all anxious as I have my 20 week scan this Friday so 4 days before we fly and I’m now worrying something will be wrong and what do we do!

Please take care and look after yourself and baby! X

just a wee positive update for you all- my low fluid has increased to a normal range even with the fluid leak, and no signs of infection or labour starting so can go home tomorrow with regular monitoring! thanks for your positive energy! 🥰
@MuddyMoments how did your scan go today? X

MuddyMoments · 27/06/2025 20:48

Ah @MyZippyLemonBiscuit that’s great news, make sure you take it steady once you are home and don’t over do it! 🥰

I felt mean sharing an update when still thinking about how you were getting on, but thank you for asking. The scan went really well I’m 20 weeks tomorrow, baby is healthy and growing so well. We found out we are having a boy 💙😍 this is baby number 2 of us and our second boy! 🩵
