Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!
congratulations.

I'm also considering booking an early scan, just to check that everything is ticking along ok. Also did the midwife self refferal stuff today, didn't realise that you didn't have to see a GP these days!

garob · 09/05/2025 20:18

Yep I did that earlier this week! Trying to patiently wait for a first appointment but read it can take up too 2 weeks

Moosey898 · 09/05/2025 20:20

Hi everyone. Joining yet another "due in" thread! 5 weeks today, 4 previous missed miscarriages, high risk of miscarriage due to genetic issues (diagnosed by recurrent miscarriage clinic) so have zero expectations but here I am anyway, might as well live the journey of pregnant for however long it lasts and I guess you never know, it might work out ok! All my previous losses were discovered on scans between 8-11 weeks so I've got a bit of a long wait to see if things go ok or not.

Monkey1Dust · 09/05/2025 20:22

I’m finding the lull between finding out and anything ‘official’ happening much more difficult than I thought I would. I’m impatient to get a call from the hospital to get the booking in appointment sorted and getting a bit anxious about symptom spotting 😅

Ivebeenthinkingtoomuch · 09/05/2025 20:27

I’ve booked nothing yet!! Didn’t want to have to unbook it if I lost this pregnancy again. Will definitely book an early scan tomorrow though and should book the midwife next week really. I hate how my previous losses have taken all the excitement out of it

Moosey898 · 09/05/2025 20:33

@Ivebeenthinkingtoomuch totally get that! I don't even want to book an early scan with the EPU even though I know I should...

Fullofconfusion · 09/05/2025 22:48

I’m also 5 week today. Popular date!

I self referred to the midwife today. Need to ring the doctors to book my booking in appointment next.

I totally get the worrying and feeling like the excitement has been taken out of it. I think pregnancy after loss is just so different. My first pregnancy I was so naive and everything was fine. Now I’m constantly overthinking

Thomsonetthompson · 10/05/2025 05:43

Got my positive this morning so joining!

I had a miscarriage in Feb so very torn between being super happy and really scared, but like someone else said I might as well enjoy it while it lasts, whether that's 3 weeks or 9 months!

Ivebeenthinkingtoomuch · 10/05/2025 08:08

So I caved and tested this morning, first test in a week …. And here we are 🥹🥹!! May actually book those appointments now 😂

I am joining too! Tested yesterday quite light in evening at 6pm due to random cramps and other symptoms that were not like not normal PMS.
Currently around 12dpo and hope it sticks as I have history of miscarriage and have hypothyroidism. One day at a time 💕

Hope things work out for all of us! 🌷💞

Congrats 🥰

I have hypothyroidism too, currently 4weeks 4 days! Feel like there is so much conflicting info RE med adjustments. My DR has increase my dose by about 20% and I guess I have to wait til my first midwife appt until I get my bloods taken. How has your experience been?

Congrats to you too! 🥳 💞 My app is also showing 4w4d today! I ovulated later than usual so just found out.
I haven't had a chance to speak to my GP yet but I am intending to book at least a phone appointment asap, I hope they will take bloods and increase the dose but I am yet to see. I filled out pregnancy notification for my local hospital too with all the details and part of me hopes they will see me earlier because of hypothyroidism but I might be too hopeful.

PinkFlamingo888 · 10/05/2025 18:39

Got my first positive EVER this morning after almost 2 years of trying! It was a faint line, but a line! Have ordered a clear blue digital for tomorrow but so excited to feel as though I can finally graduate to the pregnancy thread! Will be due mid Jan!

louise2019x · 10/05/2025 20:53

Just got my positive 9dpo due Jan 23rd! I haven’t told my partner yet we got pregnant two years ago and terminated as we weren’t in a position to go ahead then. I think i have some trauma from that and i have a fear of telling him incase he has the same reaction :( i know things are really different now but i can’t help but be scared. there’s something so peaceful about it just being me and the pregnancy at the moment, no stress no worries. have you any suggestions on how to tell him?

Aww amazing 😊 have you had any symptoms yet?

I feel like it's just an extra layer of worry isn't it! I had an early loss in January and have had a few chats with my doctor about TTC, so luckily he approved my med increase last week without an official appt, I just spoke to a nurse first.

I will definitely mention it when I call the hospital, have to wait til 6 weeks apparently but I'll be calling bang on it 😅

Congrats 😊 and I'm sorry you're maybe not feeling as excited as you should under the circumstances.

Have you actively been TTC or will this be more of a surprise for your partner?

Emilym1609 · 11/05/2025 07:54

Congratulations to all the BFPs 💕

Lashestoashes · 11/05/2025 13:16

Tested positive today and I’m just in complete shock. Had been trying to lose weight to get fertility treatment so this is a real surprise and I hope and pray that it works out. Potential due date 7th Jan!

elephantsneverforget19 · 11/05/2025 14:15

Vikki7 · 06/05/2025 10:52

Tentatively joining as my tests seem to be fluctuating. This would be baby #4 if all goes well and due 10th Jan by LMP but this was unexpected and I wasn’t tracking so it’s very likely to change if it goes ahead. I’m kind of expecting a chemical though due to age (41) and my body not being in peak condition by a long shot!

Have you tried testing at around the time you took that original test? I’ve found my later pee, particular evening pee, seems to produce a better result than my fmu

Your efforts have clearly paid off :) I’ve spent up until about nine months ago overweight and really unfit, eating rubbish and not really caring for myself. I lost weight, about three stone, and decided I had to start eating healthily (I hadn’t been initially) and exercising consistently and then I fell unexpectedly pregnant and found out twelve days ago…my husband also started eating healthily and exercising… it’s amazing what cleaning up your diet and exercising does. Congratulations:)

PinkFlamingo888 · 11/05/2025 15:08

My clear blue digital came and it is there in writing ‘pregnant’. We were due to start IVF in August so I’m honestly so happy!!

Congratulations to you too, thank you! I feel like I’m in a healthier mindset now as well which is good 😊

So sorry to hear about your loss 😔 Hope this time it will all go well! 💞
That's good! Glad they sorted it easily, website for my dr's says I need bloods taken but maybe they will increase, worth a try! I can't call them tomorrow as I am in a conference all day but Tuesday I will definitely try.
From symptoms I've been having sore breasts but woke without soreness and it freaked me out because that was one of the things that happened when I had a miscarriage although soreness came back throughout the day. I also having cramps and they freak me out sometimes but I am trying to remember that it's normal. Maybe overheating but the reason I decided to test was because I keep peeing multiple times during the night and felt slightly constipated which is so unusual and was shocked to see a positive test! What about you?

Sydney1986x · 11/05/2025 21:46

I’d love to join please… after going through IVF with our first, this doesn’t quite feel real. I can’t believe it 🤍 think I will be due around 26/1/26

Due January 2026 ✨
