Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!

I am 12 weeks tomorrow and thankfully the nausea has more or less subsided bar the odd gag moment if a smell hits me. But over the last couple of days the exhaustion has been next level!!! I can't put it into words.... also the thirst....jeez o. But I will take it over the nausea for sure. I had a good week with increased energy but it didn't last! My first scan is this coming Monday and I am counting the minutes!! I just can't wait to tell people at work. One Senior Manager knows but I just want it common knowledge as for now I am starting later in the day (on flex so it is ok but people are used to me being an early bird) and taking longer lunches. Also avoiding some tasks due to "a sore back" ha It will be much easier when people can just know

I’m glad someone else has mentioned the exhaustion! I am 13 weeks 3 days, my sickness is to a minimum too now but the tiredness! I’ve never known anything like it. I am struggling. As soon as I finish work, if I sit down I am asleep within a minute 🤣

WanderWalker · 25/06/2025 12:45

It’s seems like a few of you have your 12 week scans coming up 😊 all the best for them x

RealTealQueen · 25/06/2025 12:47

I went for another reassurance scan today after a worry wobble at the weekend! Dates are 11 weeks today but she said we’re measuring at 12. All looking well but apparently I’ve developed a fibroid. Anyone got any experience of that?

As for work, I don’t get Christmas off. I reckon I’ll just work until I don’t feel like I can anymore!

I feel ya!! I keep reminding myself " at least the nausea has gone" but my word the tiredness is a very close second in terms of how rubbish it makes you feel! I slept 12 hours last night (aside from a couple of toilet trips. Just awoke from my lunchtime nap and there is every chance I will have another after work!

Moosey898 · 26/06/2025 16:11

I'm still feeling super sick but it is coming in waves now, rather than feeling less strongly sick but all the time. I don't know which I'd rather have 🤦

Also can't tell how much of it currently is from anxiety as I have my 12 week scan tomorrow (should be exactly 12 weeks) and NIPT results. I know I can't change any outcome but it still feels traumatic, even more so going to the main antenatal clinic rather than the EPAU where I now know all the nurses well and feel safe.

seeingstars123 · 26/06/2025 18:01

I’m also really struggling with morning sickness and fatigue at 10+5 :( it went away for a few days but has come back 100x stronger! Hopefully will clear soon.

loving seeing the scans people have had!! ❤️

glad all went okay x

So nice to see all the scan pics!!! Congrats everyone 💗

@RealTealQueen i have 6 fibroids!! I was diagnosed with them in October as I had to go to A&E with this absolutely unbearable pain and it turns out it was the fibroids. They’re harmless but they can cause discomfort in pregnancy apparently. I’m no considered high risk because of them, which means I will need extra scans etc to make sure I’m ok. They can cause bleeding too. I’ve not had any issues so far with them and hopefully all will be ok. Don’t worry about it - they sometimes go away with pregnancy too.

I don’t want to jinx it but at 9+5 the nausea seems to be subsiding??? I really hope it doesn’t make a sudden return as last week was so awful!!

Six! Wow. Thank you, you’ve reassured me! The lady said don’t worry but of course I googled and then did worry!

I’m sorry it turned to actually vomiting now the worse. I’ve been signed off work for 2 weeks which has helped. Means I can just rest instead of the rush of school and work xx

Im in work this morning clinging to life haha. Already been sick twice and im shattered because I struggle with sleep as like a pregnancy symtom. Just feel like I can not win today but hey ho we carry on xx

Oh no!! I totally get not being able to sleep. I’ve been up since 2:30 this morning. 😴 hopefully as the day goes on it gets better for you random one but there some orange lolly pops you can get from Poundland. They come in a pack with cola and apple but the orange ones helps with my sickness so much 😅 I don’t know how it works but it gives me a bit of relief or lemonade ice lollies! Xx

peps2917 · 27/06/2025 08:03

Ugh I pray that sickness won’t hit me again! I actually am feeling a little queasy today. I went for dinner with a friend yesterday (super early!!) and I got home at like 8:30 which is later than I’ve been going to bed lately lol! The dinner didn’t go down too well and made me a bit queasy so I didn’t sleep well and I’m still feeling a bit queasy now. Hopefully it goes away soon. I work in a school and next week I have a mega week as I have to supervise the junior play until 10pm one day and helping out with a geography field trip on another day. NIGHTMARE. I hope I manage to cope!!

Jadeypie · 27/06/2025 09:34

@Sunshinemoom i always wake around half 2 aswell! How strange. Also good tip about lolly pops never thought about that!

@peps2917 oh God I hope you survive! No way could I keep my eyes open till ten ahhaha. I work in retail and the smell of some people make me heave. A customer came in before and smell of stale booze, I had to leg the toilet 🤢🤮 i feel so sorry for myself today haha x x 😅

Moosey898 · 27/06/2025 13:09

Scan today went well. Measuring 12+1 (1 day ahead) so due date is now 8th Jan.
Baby was not cooperating to get the NT measurements 😂 so I was in there for a while.

The staff were lovely - I got into the scan room and just burst into tears with the anxiety and they were so reassuring and kind.

Next scan for me will be 16 weeks with the fetal medicine team in London because of my chromosome issues and I'm booked for a consultant appointment around a similar time due to being high risk.

This is the furthest I've got in 5 pregnancies which is amazing but also really scary. Trying to take it one day at a time xx

Miracledust29 · 27/06/2025 14:21

@Moosey898 congratulations, such a nice feeling when you see everything working out as it should after previous losses.
I had my 8 weeks scan and now nothing until 12 weeks, I'm just coming up to 10 weeks on Sunday and off on hols so hopefully that'll keep my mind off it!

Anyone else just completely put of breath at the gym? I can still lift weights but I can't even seem to manage 3 minutes on the step machine anymore it's embarrassing 😂😂

The food situation as well, all I want is pasta everything, fruit or a jacket potato. Usually pretty healthy but I just have no desire for chicken, veg, salad or anything. I've been lucky with sickness or lack of but I find if I'm out and I forget to eat something small on the hour I just feel really dizzy, shakey and sick as if I haven't eaten for days!

Jadeypie · 27/06/2025 15:29

@Moosey898 awww yayy so happy for you! Hopefully your nerves can calm down abit for now. Lovely clear scan picture 🥰

@Miracledust29 oh don't ive gone from being super healthy running three times a week very active to a sleeping couch potatoe who lives off carbs. Ive started trying to get bk in the swing of things but this pregnancy has completely thrown me off balance xx

RealTealQueen · 27/06/2025 16:01

@Moosey898 Brilliant! So pleased for you. X

@Miracledust29 I haven’t seen the inside of my gym for 6 weeks now. I can’t even keep up on our dog walks anymore! I’m hoping the tiredness eases off in 2nd trimester and I can start getting back to it. I was working towards being able to run 5k by the end of the year before getting pregnant but doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now! 😆

Moosey898 · 27/06/2025 16:48

@RealTealQueen that's me too! I've been wiped and so sicky. I reallllllly want to get back to gym and running. Going to have to take it gently I think...

Miracledust29 · 27/06/2025 17:19

@RealTealQueen I'm sure you'll get to your 5k at some point but no rush! I've been going to the gym with the other half but weeks 9-10 has just completely wiped me. I wasn't sure what everyone was on about regarding the tiredness before but I get it now 😂 at least you get out on the dog walks, they're taking you out.
@Jadeypie that's me right now. I seem to get out for a few hours but come afternoon I'm a couch potato too! The other half seems to "know what I mean" regarding the no energy but he just doesn't get it, I try to explain it's next level no energy. I usually cook most days but I've got no enthusiasm for that either now.

Jadeypie · 27/06/2025 17:53

@Miracledust29 ive just come to the realisation this is just my reality for now and when my body is able and ready it will get bk to what it can do but right now it just wants to eat and cook a baby hahah. How many weeks are you? Ive only just started cooking again im nearly 13 weeks xx

peps2917 · 27/06/2025 19:16

I feel everyone’s pain!! I am usually super active and I’ve had to freeze my gym membership. I’ve been able to go for runs in the morning still but not as much or for as long as I used to, and I can only do it in the morning as I’m wiped out after work.

Has anyone started telling people? I’m 10 weeks tomorrow and I might start telling my close friends. My mum and dad and best friend knows and so does my husband’s family but that’s it! My team at work do too as I wasn’t able to deal with the long meetings without wearing my seabands!!
