@Jadeypie yeah you're a little ahead of me. I'm just hitting 10 weeks and I think this has been the worst week so far. I had a meltdown to the other half last night, I'm just so so bloated by the afternoon that nothing fits and I'm off on holiday tomorrow. It's not like it's anywhere else though it's just my mid area and it feels so hard as though i'm about to pop I've been on progesterone since 6 weeks but I felt bloated before them so it's even worse now......please tell me it gets better? 😂🤦🏼‍♀️I'm usually quite a cold person but the last few days I just cannot cool down it's like my body has just gone into overdrive all of a sudden 😂

Is anyone else this bloated or just me? I understand I'll get bigger but by evening I just balloon, look like I'm carrying twins but I've been told 3 times it's just 1.

Aww, I've had a few meltdowns myself this pregnancy. It's okay. 🫠 Everything you've said is exactly me and probably most of the others this thread!, Your not alone my love!! But I will say from my worst weeks its better, still not great but more manageable. Some days I would go as far as saying normal haha some days horrendous. Don't even get me started on being a sweaty Betty bad of a evening im also normally a freezing person now im constantly of fire ha

My jeans don't fit now the bloat is real. I think mine started at 6 weeks, and now I think the bump is taking over. This is my 2md. I think the bloat goes when the bump takes over, so I've just felt huge since six weeks. im pretending it's a bump now anyway, even if it's bloat and bump hahah makes me feel better. Xxx

I'm part bloated, part fat 🤣😭 I lost 8kg in the lead up to getting pregnant then feel like I've put it all back on through being inactive and needing to eat constantly to keep the nausea at bay! I'm going to move into cycling shorts and oversized tees for the rest of the summer. Got to figure out what I can wear into the office as I'm due in 2 days a week from late July, and they don't know about the pregnancy yet (and I'm not ready to tell them until 20 weeks....)

RealTealQueen · 28/06/2025 10:50

@peps2917 Oh you’ve told loads of people! I’m 11+3 and I’ve only told my line manager. And because of the way my job works, she’s not even passed it on to HR yet. We decided to wait another week or so because once someone at work knows, everyone will! My husband and I are going to tell our parents next week after our NHS scan, if all is well. The first time I was pregnant, I told my mum at 8 weeks. Then had to tell her two weeks later about the MMC. I’ve never told her about one since - couldn’t break her heart like that again.

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 28/06/2025 15:54

@Moosey898 I’m the same. Lost 2 stone since Christmas and then fell on. It is my third though so I’ve looked like I’ve had a beach ball up my top on an evening since about 7 weeks 😂

WanderWalker · 28/06/2025 17:29

Is anyone else suffering with headaches? I don’t know if it’s this hot weather, but it’s driving me mad. I’m drinking loads, but it doesn’t seem to be helping.

YES! Non stop dull constant headache 🥲 I get migraines brought on by smells but can’t use my medication at the moment so water, cold compresses and hope is my go to 🤣

I’m the same. I get migraine brought on by smells and certain lighting and also not taking my meds with being pregnant too. These headaches are driving me crazy though. So I sympathise 😢 I’ve going to pop my cold migraine cap on see if that works, you’ve just reminded me with saying cold compress 😊

Oh it’s tough! I don’t think the stuffy weather is helping. My friend recommended the cold migraine cap to me but I could smell it through the screen 🤣 do you find it helps? X

It would be great if it lasted more than 2 mins. I find no matter how long you leave it in the freezer it gets warm really quickly. I end up putting it on and then putting a normal cold pack (for injuries) under it. It helps keep that in place but otherwise pretty rubbish. Mine is a gel one, not sure if there are other types available x

peps2917 · 29/06/2025 08:15

Hi all! Hope you’re feeling ok this weekend. I woke up today and noticed light brown spotting on my knickers. I don’t have pain or cramping and had a scan last Sunday which showed a healthy bean moving its legs lots! I’m 10 weeks today.

It is Sunday so EPU not open and I know A&E will not do anything. I don’t feel hugely worried but I wonder if anyone has had this? any advice? It was brown and very light.

Thanks!!

I had this a couple of times through the first trimester (I’m now 14weeks). I was very worried, but the midwife said it is quite common and for me not to worry (I know it’s hard not too). She said as long as not having pain with it too, or it turns to red then okay.
If you are worried though there is no harm in being seen x

peps2917 · 29/06/2025 10:06

@WanderWalker thanks for replying! Did yours last a long time or was it a one off?

I called 111 and they’re going to have a GP call me back. I will call EPU tomorrow to be safe and sure and maybe they can offer a scan as I have fibroids and they did say they can cause bleeding. I’m considered high risk because of them.

Hopefully all ok!!

If no pain or any other wymtoms with it most likely your fibroids or have u had any sex recently that can cause it too. But just ring epu tomorrow see if they will give you a check for peace of mind.

I purposely wear dark underwear for the constant checking of cm helps me not obsess looking xx

I think the first time it was 3 days and then on and off. I’ll be honest when I mentioned it to the midwife she never even batted an eyelid 🤣 she said oh that’s fairly normal don’t worry and moved swiftly on, so I took that as a positive as she didn’t seem concerned at all.

It could be your fibroids then. Hope you get sorted x

peps2917 · 29/06/2025 11:40

Thank you. I had a call back from 111 and the GP said it’s always best to check and she recommended for me to go to A&E. I’m quite surprised as I really feel normal and it was only a tiny bit but better go for peace of mind. Hopefully nothing to worry about!

WanderWalker · 29/06/2025 11:41

@peps2917 i also second what @Jadeypie said…sex can also cause it too

peps2917 · 29/06/2025 11:42

We had sex last weekend but no sex this week (definitely not up for it with the nausea!!)

hopefully all ok - I will update you!

Miracledust29 · 29/06/2025 13:53

@Jadeypie aww thank you haha I think I was just having a bad day! Thanks for the reassurance and reading others in definitely not alone so your post definitely helped. I always expected bloat but not to the extreme of looking 6 months come evening. I was packing for holiday last night trying things on and I haven't really put on weight elsewhere so if anything like you said I'm going to own it and carry it off as if it's an actual bump I've decided 🤣🤣

Yeah like you said I've read a lot of people saying it seems to ease off or at least become a bit more manageable. Oh don't worry about the jeans I haven't been able to fit into mine and I'm behind you and this is my first! I mean they do up but it's VERY uncomfortable. I'm just off to Ibiza in a few hours, my wardrobe for holiday is very different to the Ibiza outfits I wore in my 20s 🤣🤣this is your second isn't it, god knows how you cope with another little one, the tiredness this week is awful. I feel like I could fall asleep anywhere anytime xx

lifebeginz · 29/06/2025 16:36

Got my first nosebleed today
Never had a nosebleed in my life so I panicked a little. Quick consult with Dr Google 😂assures me this is normal. Another delightful symptom....truly the gift that keeps on giving lol. I have my scan tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that

peps2917 · 29/06/2025 17:00

Hello! All good in the end. Had a stressful morning as we followed the advice given to us by the 111 doctor then went to A&E and as expected they were super dismissive about the whole thing.

We were a bit worried so we decided to go for a private scan to check all is ok and it was! We could see the baby waving at us and wiggling around. Measuring 10weeks exactly as expected.

Lesson learnt - don’t go to A&E if you bleed again!!!

That's was my first pregnancy sysmtom a nose bleed!

Excited for your scan today keep us posted. everything will be fine 🫠 i hope its a early one so you don't have to wait all day with the nerves xx

peps2917 · 30/06/2025 06:35

@Jadeypie thank you! I do feel more calm but emotionally exhausted as it was a scary day! I was calm before receiving the call back from 111 - wish they hadn’t advised me to go into A&E as they were so rude and awful there. My husband almost lost it!

The only thing now is that at the ultrasound they said one of the fibroids has grown in size from 7.2cm to 8cm. Luckily that one is quite far away from the womb but it’s still frustrating as I think I can feel it - it was giving me very mild cramps yesterday. It’s most likely I will need to have a c section because of the fibroids (which I already knew) but I am worried as the bigger they are the more blood loss they can cause and I’m already anaemic. Hopefully all will be ok - I’m sure they will have treated many women with fibroids so I am not super worried!!
