Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!
congratulations.

Hi all 😊 congrats on your January babies ♥️

I got my BFP yesterday! Due date is 13th January (ish). First time trying!

I had an early loss in January, was all very confusing as was our first cycle trying and I had a light period/negative tests before finding out a few weeks later due to unexpected bleeding.

We had a break as we got married in Feb and wanted my cycles to go back to normal. First time back TTC in April, so feeling relieved, especially with how different the experience is this time round compared to Jan.

The anxiety is still high though 😅 I will test every other day to monitor progression and have booked in a private scan at 8 weeks for some reassurance.

Hope it's OK if I join the WhatsApp group?

Fullofconfusion · 05/05/2025 19:43

Hi all,

I’m tentatively joining.
I got my BFP at the weekend and I have long cycles where I was tracking my ovulation so think I’m just over 4 weeks with a EDD of 10th January. I’ve not told my partner yet.

I had a chemical back in February so wanted to make sure this one was sticking before saying anything. But I’ve now had a very clear positive and the clear blue weeks say 2-3 so feeling more confident. We had a TFMR in June last year at 22 weeks so this is a very wanted rainbow baby.

Hoping for a smooth pregnancy for everyone. I feel like I might be a bit of a nervous wreck!

Tinytotdriver · 06/05/2025 08:45

Hi ladies!

I got a positive test yesterday!

Conceived on the 20th or 21st of April (I track everything)

Had one previous MMC, one rainbow baby, and now this… no idea what will happen with this one, but hopefully all goes smoothly! Trying to not think about it too much as it’s such early doors and I feel like we have a long wait until the first scan.

Let’s enjoy the journey 💛

Ivebeenthinkingtoomuch · 06/05/2025 10:20

Full of anxiety today!!! Feel like my symptoms have disappeared and I’m back to feeling ‘Normal’.
This is what happened at Christmas with my chemical at around the same time, 4 weeks and 4 days. In work trying to hold back the tears.
I had stopped testing at the weekend as it wasn’t good for my mental health due to previous losses but I’m spiralling again. I should test but I’m afraid of the outcome 😔

Vikki7 · 06/05/2025 10:52

Tentatively joining as my tests seem to be fluctuating. This would be baby #4 if all goes well and due 10th Jan by LMP but this was unexpected and I wasn’t tracking so it’s very likely to change if it goes ahead. I’m kind of expecting a chemical though due to age (41) and my body not being in peak condition by a long shot!

I’m the exact same. I’m still only getting 1-2 weeks on clear blue and don’t have a dye stealer on cheapies. Terrified!

I haven't got any symptoms really yet.. feeling a bit tired and had white discharge but that's it, no nausea at all and feeling pretty normal I'd have no idea unless I'd tested / missed period. I also had a chemical last month. However, my tests are really strong.. I'm 20dpo for ref. Everyone can be different in terms of hcg levels so I would really try and not compare too much but I don't think not having symptoms at this stage is too much of a worry as still so early the hormone levels are lower x

BFP on Monday at 5am, tested on a whim so it was a bit of a shock. Came off the pill on 23rd March, but I'd been on it for about 15 years so expected a lot longer for anything to happen!! This will be my first and according to LMP due date is new years day!

Vikki7 · 07/05/2025 09:24

Don’t want to bring a downer but I’m out. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancies ladies.

I am so sorry to hear that. What are the reasons you think that? Have you seen a doctor? Sending you lots of love and support ❤️

BettyBettyBoop · 07/05/2025 13:26

Hi All,

Tentatively joining, I did three tests yesterday and have had a positive result come through on each- the first was a very faint positive, which led to do the next 2! I'm 38 and have never been pregnant before so very nervous! Still trying to learn all the acronyms on here 😅

Hello

Positive test today (very strong line) We have been trying for over a year and seen the fertility clinic earlier this year so this is very welcome news.

Conception date would have been between 19-22 April. I have been testing regularly as we have been trying but decided to step back as it was so draining. My boobs have been hurting the last few days and look bigger and I have felt sooo tired but I thought that was just because my period was due... and then realised my period was actually a little late so best to test. I am 38 and this is our first so NO idea what to expect, what to do next etc When do we tell Dr/midwife.....When do we tell work etc.... Super excited and not feeling as nervous/scared as I thought I would but I am sure that will come with time

Congratulations!! We were the exact same as you- had taken a step back as it was mentally draining seeing a bfn every month. It’s funny how things work out! I rang the doctor when I was 5 weeks based on LMP. Although with the NHS or at least in my area it seems like it will be 12 weeks before I’m seen. Tempted to pay for a private scan before this as it will actually be closer to 14 weeks before I am seen due to holidays. I was planning on telling work after this unless I have a rough first trimester and feel the need to tell them earlier. But at the moment I have no real symptoms except from sore boobs. It is also my first pregnancy and it still does not feel real- to be honest it probably won’t until I’m either vomiting 10 times a day or until the first scan

Ahhh congratulations!!! Just sore boob's here too really and tiredness. Loss of appetite a bit but nothing major. I HATE being sick so I am really dreading getting sickness :(

Aw I totally agree... constantly checking dates and doing tests it was affecting me mentally so I just stopped it and was lucky enough that I could afford to reduce my work hours slightly to help ease stress a bit.

I am actually awaiting a call back from my GP as I wanted to check in regarding a medication I am on and whether I can still take it so hoping he will tell me what I need to do regarding booking with midwife. I looked at the online form but that only seems to be for England. I am in Scotland which seems to be a different process.

Hello 👋🏻

Joining after getting two surprise positive tests at the weekend. My cycle has been all over the place since coming off the pill mid-December so couldn’t be sure I was ‘late’ but got a BFP on Saturday morning! Couldn’t wait to try again with a CB test Sunday which said 2-3 weeks.

This will be our first baby - still struggling to believe it’s happening and not sure it will sink in until we have our scan.

Symptoms mild so far, I’m SO bloated which isn’t normal for me. Appetite has gone and I’m struggling to eat my usual portions. So far no nausea but paranoid I’m about to hit week 6/7 which seems to be the worst for sickness kicking in…! I’ve also had a lot of mild period- type cramps which was a bit of a worry but trying not to overthink those.

jasminnie · 07/05/2025 20:21

Hello,

I got two positive tests over the weekend too. Digital test says I'm 2-3 weeks. My guess is my conception date was around 17th April. My cycles are longer than average though. Think my due date is around beginning of Jan!

Woken up this morning with lower back pain and feeling so bloated! It's one of my days in the office today, wishing it wasn't 😅

Ivebeenthinkingtoomuch · 08/05/2025 07:01

@Balloonmum @RoseWin thank you for replying.
Since my panicky post my symptoms have picked up a bit, currently in bed here feeling nauseous and have had sore boobs here and there.
Desperately want this little bean to stick around, the last year has been so tough and at 38 I don’t have tons of time left.
Here’s to positive thoughts and hope the rest of you are feeling good and have a lovely day ✨

It went well! In the right place this time and sac and yolk sac seen, I’ve to go back in two weeks 🤞

How are we all feeling today? Currently having mild symptoms so trying to take comfort in that. Officially 5 weeks today!!
Trying to decide whether to test tomorrow or not, not tested in a week as it was getting too much and I was over a analysing everything but would quite like to make sure it’s going ok still too.

garob · 09/05/2025 19:44

Also 5 weeks today! Trying not to test booked an early ultrasound for 1.5 weeks time worried it’s too early but really can’t wait too impatient
