Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!

I think our partners worry more than we know! That's why they go all quiet. My partner is the same. We have a early scan today so hopefully this will ease our nerves alot more.

@rainbowmum32 so sorry to hear about your miscarriages it's heartbreaking! I've had two myself so I completely get the nerves pregnancy isn't the same after a loss but we just take each day as it comes 🫠 xx

Yes I think you're so right about our partners!
if you don't mind me asking, at what weeks did you have miscarriages before? I had a chemical pregnancy last month (my first pregnancy) so I'm super nervous that's going to happen again this month.. but so far so good. I just don't know at what week I can stop worrying.. it's hard to get the information on when most miscarriages happen if they're going to.. holding off even telling my mum because I'm worried to get her excited

ForCalmRobin · 03/05/2025 11:44

Naturally since my first bfp my thoughts have been consumed with being pregnant and as an inpatient and very anxious person, the thought of waiting several weeks before being seen by the antenatal team is hard 🥲. Does anyone have any advice on how to relax during these weeks? It feels worse than the TWW 😣

And congratulations to all those who have now joined!! 😄

@RoseWin i genuinely don't think our nerves will truly go tbh! My ectopic was 7 weeks and then 4 weeks (I hate calling it a chemical because it's already planned in our life as soon as we see those positives) i also have a 4 year old.

I've just had my scan this morning gestational sack is in the correct place and a white blob within it she didn't say what it was but all looks good for 5 weeks. She wants me bk in Monday tho because of my history I think this is abit soon surly not much will have changed in two days but she was happy with what she saw x x

That's amazing news, congratulations! I've booked in a 7 week early scan as I just want to know as soon as I can if everything is ok, I don't think I could wait til the NHS 12 week scan! And they say there's potential to find a heartbeat at 7 weeks which shows it's progressing well... so that's in 2 weeks time

Balloonmum · 03/05/2025 13:34

Hi girls 💕 congrats to you all! I’m shocked I have another BFP as had my fourth loss (first ectopic) on Aprils fool day (this year!). I’m a nervous wreck. Got a clear blue weeks indicator coming today… how many weeks are you all getting on it?

Congratulations! I took a weeks one on Tuesday which was 1-2 but thinking of buying some more so I can check again soon and see if it progresses.. the lines are definitely getting darker by day though

Jadeypie · 03/05/2025 13:55

@RoseWin thank you!! Yeh 7 weeks is a good time to get a scan you should be able to see all kinds then. You will have to keep me updated 🫠 I don't know if the epu will give me another scan after Mondays if they don't I will probably book a private one for about 8 weeks xx

I think it's worth it! I have a feeling I might get addicted to regular scans throughout as it's my first pregnancy and I am an overthinker but at the same time it's £95 and in my eyes worth every penny for that reassurance!
ive had the NHS 12 week scan already booked in but that was actually booked before any contact from a midwife. I did the self referral form online. Has anyone else done that and has the first appointment for blood tests etc yet? I've only had a text about the date for the 12 week scan

Jadeypie · 03/05/2025 14:02

@RoseWin just go with whatever makes you feel calmer! With my son, I was so niave, not a care in the world. This time is completely different.

I've not rang my gp yet to let them know waiting till in 6 weeks then I'll give them a call.

You will get a booking in appointment with your midwife around 8 weeks get your notes filled in and blood tests ect (if i remember correctly) xx

Hi! Just got my bfp yesterday, and looks like I’ll be due 1st or 2nd of Jan. my DS was born late august in the middle of that heatwave a few years ago, and so a winter baby will be a bit of a different experience!

whats your due date looking to be at the mo?

Same here I also have an August baby. It’s going to be completely different! X

Winnie87 · 04/05/2025 07:47

Can I join just found out! This will be my surprise third baby!
Dont think it has really sunk in, we’ve got rid of all of our old baby stuff 😑.
Going off periods I’ll be due 11th of Jan!

RoseWin · 04/05/2025 12:59

I'm only 4 weeks and 4 days today after finding out at 10DPO last Saturday. Myself and my husband agreed not to tell anyone until 12 weeks (I'm very close with my mum and haven't told her even) but my husband was with one of his best friends yesterday and has told me today that his friend asked if I was pregnant and he blushed and then his friend said omg she is isn't she and as much as my husband said no his friend has realised by his reaction so my husband admitted it and asked him to promise not to tell anyone. He will of course go home and tell his wife who I see fairly regularly..
I am feeling really hurt by this as I didn't want his friends being first to know before my mum or close friends know about it.. and it just feels so early for them to know and I feel I am going to feel awkward now when I see them as I am keeping it a secret but I will know that they know..
my husband is saying he didn't mean to he just got rumbled and it was so obvious but I can't help but feel so let down that he admitted to it.. I feel like he should've just told his friend to stop asking and leave it at that instead of actually confirming it..
am I overreacting? How would you girls feel? Just feeling a bit let down really and sad that they're the first to know..

Jadeypie · 04/05/2025 15:12

@RoseWin i get where your feelings are coming from especially because you've probably been dying to tell your mum. Personally we tell our close friends and our parents, they are our support system. I've actually told quite a few people now tbh.

If I was you I would tell your close people then you won't feel like the people you actually want to no are left out ect xx

Thanks so much ❤️ the only reason I haven't is because I had a chemical pregnancy last month and this is my first.. and it's also the first pregnancy in my generation of the family so it's a big deal when I tell my parents and I feel they'd be so heartbroken if anything were to go wrong.. I just really want to tell them when it's safer at 12 weeks so we can celebrate. But now my husbands friend knows it does feel like my close people should.. it's such a tricky one really!
my husband is very very sorry about it I think he just panicked and his mate sussed him out.. just think he should have stopped himself from actually admitting and asked his mate to stop asking!

@rosegarden95 I’m worried about short, dark days with a newborn 🙈 hoping it’ll feel snuggly and cosy rather than dark and lonely 😂 at least I won’t be stressing abouu how to keep this one cool in 35C heat 🤪

ThatTicklishBlueTraybake · 04/05/2025 21:47

@Digby86 my son is a winter baby and tbh I think I would find it harder in summer panicking over the heat. Also bonus points for being pregnant in cosy winter cloths early dark nights and home cooked winter meals hahaha. Xx
