Yeah we moan when we don’t have sun and moan when we do. I wouldn’t mind it if it wasn’t so muggy and humid

I hate the sweats of a night! I wake up drenched its gross xx

Quick question - is waxing (Brazilian) safe in first trimester? I have a go to waxing lady who is amazing and I can tell her I’m pregnant etc and she will use different products but wasn’t sure whether there are risks. Google says it’s fine but would welcome opinions!!

My wax lady is pregnant herself and I checked with her and she said it’s fine. Google said it was fine too. I had one at about 6 weeks and no issues

@SureLook I've been away with work so I've been off this for a while. Im so sorry to hear 😞 after 2 losses I understand exactly how you must be feeling. Take some time over summer to yourself and fingers crossed all works out for you next time. Take care ❤️ xx

Yes it’s so gross! Then I wake up with a headache!

Nynm23 · 16/06/2025 07:30

Is anyone else just living on sugar? I can’t remember being like this with my first pregnancy. Food aversions to anything savoury. But craving full fat coke and pain au chocolates hourly.

I have already told everyone not to buy any baby gifts, just money towards mounjaro 😂

Miracledust29 · 16/06/2025 08:24

@Nynm23 me! I've typically gone off most things I would normally have which was a fairly balanced diet tbh. Now all I want is anything sugary, I also crave pasta every single day, I would have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I could. The only semi healthy thing I want is fruit or carrot sticks 🤷🏼‍♀️I want sugar on the hour otherwise I feel sick so have to carry apples around with me otherwise I'd be diving into the donut aisle.

Is anyone else struggling with clothes already? (8weeks) Had to go over partners family for a do yesterday and all my jeans struggle to do up! I luckily have a pair I bought off vinted which were too big before ......they've now become snug. I'm usually a size 8. I think it's all bloat because the toilet situation is awful. Got a scan today so will have to see if they can give me anything else because once in 2 weeks can't be healthy 🤣 I've tried all the usuals and even bought lactulose which is just giving me stomach cramps and no movement! 😩

Nynm23 · 16/06/2025 11:06

@Miracledust29 i crave pasta everyday too but that’s also the case when I'm not pregnant 😂 i know the food aversion does get better but trying to make lunch and dinner for a toddler (who mostly chucks it on the floor) is really difficult.

Ive a retroverted uterus, so last time i didnt start showing until around 5 months, not sure it will be the same this time as i know second pregnancies can show earlier. I’ve just bought myself a few pair of casual flowy trousers that I hope will see me though the summer. I’m all for retiring the jeans!

Good luck for the scan and some movement - I give my toddler kiwis and that always does the trick - not tried myself, but can’t do any harm? 😂

Moosey898 · 16/06/2025 11:36

Threw up this morning for maybe the third time this pregnancy...much appreciated for a Monday morning 🤦
Got my next scan tomorrow. Terrified it will be bad news again. Having missed miscarriages is horrible for the scan fear that comes after. I'd still rather know than wait for the 12 week scan and have bad news, especially as at my hospital you have to walk through everyone else waiting for scans and maternity appointments (rather than the early scans at EPU which feel a lot more private when things go wrong).

Miracledust29 · 16/06/2025 15:52

@Nynm23 yeah I'm fortunate enough that I don't have a little one to look after I guess! I haven't had any sickness yet but just the smell or thought of a lot of things can put me off. My beloved coffee every morning is no longer.

I've seen a lot of videos with people with a retroverted uterus, I mean that's great in the fact that you don't show for ages! Hopefully if you do go bigger it's not too bad. I'm trying to keep going to the gym everyday but I'm definitely getting conscious wearing tight tops as there's a definitive bump which I'm hoping is just bloat this early.

I wish I could do the same but my partner booked for us to go to the chill side of Ibiza for 5 days when I'll be 10 weeks, it was a nice thought but none of my bikinis fit my boobs, I think ill just have to wear flowy skirts, dresses as anything I have to do up is an issue! 😩

@Moosey898 good luck tomorrow. I was the same, I've been having regular scans including today due to losses and each time it comes round I worry as I don't feel much but then all is ok. Hopefully you'll be the same 👍🏼

Sunshinemoom · 16/06/2025 18:00

I’ve actually been able to eat fruit and veg today after eating just beige stuff for the last 7 weeks!

WanderWalker · 16/06/2025 19:14

Same. I only want pasta or jacket potatoes. I suddenly hate all food. I mainly just want iced water and fruit. I’ve seen so many people saying the first trimester is all about surviving and not thriving 🤣 so I’m using that saying to reassure myself.

my clothes are also tight and it’s becoming more noticeable, so it will be hard to hide much longer (this is my 3rd baby though)

@Miracledust29 once in two weeks! You poor thing that must be awful. I hope you’ve managed to get something to help get things moving.

Good luck to all of those of you have a scan this week 😘 I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and I am sooooo nervous 😓

Bakerbean · 16/06/2025 19:21

WanderWalker · 13/06/2025 20:25

Is anyone feeling out of breath? If I walk for a bit or go up the stairs I feel like I need to sit down. I popped to the shop and had to go back to the car for a sit down. I can’t remember if I felt like this before (it’s been a long time time I’ve been pregnant).

Yes definitely! And I remember feeling like this last time too!

WanderWalker · 16/06/2025 19:40

Bakerbean · 16/06/2025 19:21

I’m really struggling with it. Have to keep sitting down after the smallest of tasks. Even worse in this heat 🥵

PilatesAndLattes · 16/06/2025 19:49

Another one struggling with clothes already at 8 weeks! I’m usually a 6/8 but I’m already up 10 lbs from the constant need to eat to avoid vomitting, so when I went to put my usually baggy, roomy jean shorts on this weekend they wouldn’t do up! I feel like it’s really obvious I’m pregnant because I’m already so much bigger with a belly and I can’t stop eating 😅

Be careful with lactulose it can give you cramps. When I had a bowel op I had 5ml in a syringe in the morning and again before bed, which worked out fine, I'm doing the same now at 7 weeks pregnant. Also apple juice and prune juice can also help. Be careful with the prune juice though, can be very potent. But it works!

Miracledust29 · 16/06/2025 22:43

@Eeebee14 yes I've noticed that. Only taken it for 2 days so far, I wouldn't say it's worked exactly only given me slight stomach cramps so I've lowered the dose. Does it work after a while??

@PilatesAndLattes I feel you. I think today I've been a bit overly emotional started crying to the other half. I think it's the whole feeling uncomfortable all the time atm, in the gym, in my clothes etc. the weather turning nice doesn't help either as all I want to do is cover up in trackies and a hoody!

@WanderWalker haha funnily enough I was craving a jacket so badly today I made my bf drive me to this garden centre to get one 🤣still felt starving after. I'm the same as you I've gone off most things but anything carb based and plain is good or fruit! You're right with survival mode, that's literally how I feel

behindthelight · 17/06/2025 07:56

I know the feeling with clothes... I'm so bloated already but read its common with your second!

Just wanted to pop on and thank the lady who advised me to tell my work about pregnancy. I bit the bullet last week and told them - the head was amazing. I'm now out of class and working on sendco and safeguarding admin tasks. Reassured that my contract still stands and she even moved forward the contract start date to 1st July to remove the worry for me! Sent me home to wfh yesterday as we have chicken pox in school. First time in 9 weeks I've felt relaxed!

I have a scan at epu this morning (I'm 9 weeks) because I was kicked in the stomach by a pupil last week - luckily no pain or bleeding so hoping everything is growing nicely 🙏

peps2917 · 17/06/2025 08:05

@WanderWalker I feel your pain. I can’t even think about food - as soon as I start I want to vom. I don’t understand the whole cravings thing as I have zero cravings - only aversions!!!

what is everyone having for breakfast? I’ve not been able to figure out what I can eat. The only thing that doesn’t make me feel sick is apples 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

lifebeginz · 17/06/2025 08:09

Ahhhh why does the wait for the 12 week scan feel so long!!! I still have another 2 weeks to wait and it is dragging on. On the plus side I am feeling significantly better at 10+5. The nausea is very few and far between and mainly only triggered by smells (I have to cover my face when walking through the kitchen and/or get hubby to get anything from the fridge) or by washing my face. But the all day every day heavy nausea feeling has shifted (and I pray it doesn't make a return) It is quite nice being able to half function like a human again, I even done some light work in my veg patch yesterday (but needed a long nap afterwards lol) and being able to enjoy (some) foods again after absolutely everything giving me the heave for what felt like forever! Don't get me wrong.... some foods still do.... but I can actually pick and enjoy so many more foods now. I hope this maybe gives some hope to folks who are in the thick of it right now! I am still thankful for having some symptoms as I think if they disappeared completely I would be worried. Just counting down the days for the scan to know everything is ok :)

I also told work a few weeks back - just the "big boss" as I call her. Mainly because at the time I was so unwell and really struggling. Even though I was WFH I kept dropping off teams calls to go hug the toilet and using the "lost connection" excuses and such like. I was also taking longer lunch breaks to sleep so I wanted someone at work to be aware just in case anyone picked up on it etc. She was fantastic. Completely reassured me and was so happy for me (she was at our wedding 2 years ago) and even came by to take me for lunch when I was feeling a little brighter.

@Miracledust29 yes it definitely works. Try and drink plenty of water too. Worst case scenario you might have an impaction and you will need to see the GP to get things moving again. Depends how regular you were before I guess.

It will probably be hell on the first movement because the solid bit needs to come out first, then it should be ok after that. I use lactulose for maintenance to keep me regular. Can also try apple juice at the same time which is more gentle than prune juice and works in the same way to bring water to your stool and soften it. Or if you're feeling hardcore, try some prune juice so some explosive results. 🤣

Moosey898 · 17/06/2025 09:41

Just had my scan at 10+4 and measuring 10+6 now, after being a day behind at my last scan. Bub was wriggling away, limbs all over the place! Utterly surreal to see, of all the pregnancy scans I've had (I reckon it's 12 now over the course of 5 pregnancies) it's the first where I've seen movement. I'm trying to just think "what will be will be" now....so hard still though!

RealTealQueen · 17/06/2025 12:11

@Moosey898 Whet a relief for you! Are you feeling a bit more relaxed now?

I had my booking in appointment this morning. It took about 90 mins. She couldn’t get any blood out of me so I have to go to the hospital for that over the next day or so. It was so surreal hearing her talking about things we have to do at 16 weeks and 24 weeks etc. I’m still surprised we (seem to have) made it to nearly 10 weeks. I can’t think that far ahead in case it all goes wrong again.

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 17/06/2025 12:48

11 weeks today (2 weeks since booking appointment) and still haven’t got the dating scan in the diary. I know the referral has gone through as I’ve had a GTT booked for when I’m 13 weeks so now just concerned I might have been missed.

annoyingly (for me, 4 y/o DS thinks otherwise) I’m out with my little boy today so can’t call them but when he’s at nursery tomorrow it’s my plan of action even just for reassurance that I haven’t been forgotten.

Moosey898 · 17/06/2025 13:16

@RealTealQueen a little....I don't think I'll relax at all even if the pregnancy goes to term!
