Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!

@Sunshinemoom its alright. It has helped to take the edge off but I get soooo drowsy!! It does mean I have a very good night sleep though!

I’ve got my second private scan this weekend on Sunday - expecting to be 9 weeks on Sunday. Hoping it will all be ok. Then I’ve had my 12 week dating scan booked already for the 14th July!

Can’t believe it - in about 3 weeks I will be out of the first trimester! Really hope I start getting my energy back. It’s been so difficult and every day just feels so hard 😭😭

Moosey898 · 20/06/2025 18:03

Had my booking appointment today and confirmation that I'm referred to fetal medicine for additional scans due to my chromosome abnormalities. 12 week scan in a week (plus NIPT results), if that goes well the next scan will be with fetal medicine in London at 16 weeks. Also confirmed I'm down as high risk so will be consultant led throughout. It's nice to feel supported by the system when I'm so stressed about something going wrong.

Oh so drowsy. I’m the same!! I’m a couple weeks ahead of you and my sickness has definitely started to get better I’ve managed to drop a couple of tablets I was on 9 originally. Which has helped with the drowsiness.

hope second scan goes well!

it’s so weird the first trimester seems to go quick but equally takes so long as well especially when you have sickness. I’m 12 weeks next week and I’m like how am I out of the first trimester already

peps2917 · 20/06/2025 18:55

@Sunshinemoom i agree!!! Every day feels like forever but at the same time it is surprising how quickly it goes - I can’t explain it!!

Ugh I can’t wait for it to go away. My dose says I can only take 3 per day maximum! When I do take it it takes the edge off but it doesn’t fully make it go away and I still get waves of nausea. It’s so horrible!!

Haa anyone started telling people? After our private 9 week scan this weekend I might tell my dad (my mum and step dad know but my dad lives abroad) and maybe 2 of my friends. I’ve told my best friends already! I can’t wait to be able to tell people at work. Someone noticed I was wearing sea bands under my jacket and she was like ‘are you pregnant!!’ - I had to lie 😂😂 said I got food poisoning. Oh dear!

Yeah that’s the best way to describe it.

I was prescribed 2 different tablets one was 3 times a day the other 2x a day, and then I was prescribed a B1 or B 12 vitamin cause apparently that helps with nausea and sickness and then prescribed omeprazole to help stomach acid. With my folic acid I was having to set alarms to remember my doses.

Yeah, we’ve told our parents and then when we had our last private scan, we told a couple of close friends! work know as well as I’ve been so ill had to do a few half days. That’s only been this week I’ve told work though 😅

RealTealQueen · 20/06/2025 20:08

I’ve cracked and ordered some Sea Bands. I thought I could cope but I can’t do it on my own anymore! I’ve never known anything like it! Still, I’m seeing it as a positive sign 🤣😩

Apparently being pregnant makes no difference in A&E. Had light bleeding yesterday, ran the EPU and after ringing me back at midnight said it was normal and to ring back if I got ctramps. Woke up at 2am with cramps which got worse and are now spasming. When I tried contacting the maternity department at 5am for the cramping, I got redirected several times and then told to ring NHS24. By the time we got through, they said go to a&e as we already parked at the hospital. Add to that I'm starving but not sure I want to risk eating and I just want to sleep. this was not the end we had planned to our first night out in our new motorhome 😔 Will post as update later.

Moosey898 · 21/06/2025 11:27

@claire7007 I'm so sorry you're going through this. Unfortunately clinically early pregnancy isn't a priority in A&E as it's not life threatening situations (usually) and there's nothing they can really do if unfortunately the pregnancy is ending. I hope you get seen soon and that things are ok xx

They’re not even in a rush when it’s life threatening 🤣🤣 I waited 15 hours to be seen with my ectopic that had ruptured 🙃

Ugh that's awful! I'm lucky I've always had good experiences with a&e (or should I say, fair depending on the level of severity of the reason I'm there!)

claire7007 · 21/06/2025 15:15

Unfortunately, it's not good news and I'll be leaving this chat. It's been lovely getting to know everyone and wishing everyone the best for the next 5/6months.

Bubblegum2887 · 22/06/2025 19:43

Just an update- missed miscarriage.
So i joined this chat when I found out i was pregnant at 4 weeks 4 days according to lmp.
Has an early scan at what should have been 6 week 5 days (4th june) and measured a week behind, with a little hearbear.
I had another scan on Saturday (21st june) as I felt like my symptoms hadn't progressed like I thought they would. No vomiting, odd bouts of nausea and a few bad headaches.
Baby bean has stopped growing at 6+2.
Where i had my scan was where the nhs sonographers work outside of the nhs, so they could use the scan report from both my early scans, they managed to get me in the next day for a confirmation scan and offered my surgical management the same day, which has been an absolute blessing.
No pain and minimal bleeding.
I fly on holiday in 2 days so it was by far the best option for me.
I was offered a funeral / ashes / take them home, which is a beautiful thing.
I declined for my own reasons.

I was absolutely fine on finding out because I knew something wasn't right with the pregnancy, all I wanted to do was eat, but noting other than that!
This was just my experience and I know many others have very different experiences, but the scan did show my body starting to demise the pregnancy, so I assume the drop in my symptoms was my HCG levels dropping.

I just wanted to update everyone as we all know not every pregnancy tests equals a baby at the end of it.
Sending you all love and wishing you all the most beautiful baby journeys x

I’m due about January 21st. It’s so surreal! Very unexpected pregnancy, especially as we’re newly engaged. I’ve already got a little bump, I’m sure mostly bloat but I’m claiming it!

Morning all!

I had another reassurance scan yesterday. Baby is one day ahead measuring at 9 weeks 1 day. It was lovely to see the little legs moving 💗

I have my NHS scan on the 14th July so I won’t be going for any more early private scans now.

hoping the nausea and fatigue will start to subside soon… it’s been brutal!

ttcjourney20001 · 23/06/2025 07:23

Morning everyone, big day today. 12w NHS scan, I’ve been up since the crack of dawn tossing and turning. 🙈

Hi all!

So thrilled to be here after 11 years of trying we are
going for our 12 week scan this week after naturally conceiving.

I'm stressed (normal right) as my symptoms are minimal. We
have had 3 scans thanks to the fertility unit all show a healthy
'perfect' baby (their words) however since the last one 3 weeks ago l've barely had any symptoms. Slight headaches and constipation which is normal for me.
I keep thinking I surely can't be so lucky that we fall naturally and I don't have any bad symptoms so obviously my head goes to the negative.

Why do we do this to ourselves

Jadeypie · 23/06/2025 16:41

Hi all ive been away for the week so just catching up.

Sorry to see sad news 😢 thinking of use and sending you lots of love ❤️

@ttcjourney20001 how did your scan go? Mines next week im counting the days!

@peps2917 aww how cute is it when they move round 😍 sorry to see the sickness still has you!! I thought I was starting to get bk to normal but last three days the vomiting has started again! Typical been waiting for 12 weeks to get that magic feeling of no sickness and the opposite happened it hit me again instead 😭😭

@WooWoo8 pregnancy just makes you worry not matter what haha. Ive seen that symtoms ease from 12 weeks because the placenter has taken over so maybe thats why your feeling better. Xx

Hi everyone, I’m due 15th Jan so joining in if that’s okay
I had a private scan at 6+1 to confirm viability, and another on Friday at EPAS as I woke up Wednesday all my symptoms had disappeared & had cramping whereas the last few weeks I’ve been super sick. Confirmed all is okay, and I’m measuring a week ahead so currently 10+4 I think

My anxiety is through the roof. This is my first pregnancy, we’ve been trying for almost two years and family have almost all had difficult losses so I’m overthinking that mine will be the same but touch wood all is good so far
