Hi everyone, just found out I'm pregnant today at 9dpo, I wanted to make a thread for people to join who will be due in September 2025!

Just over 10 weeks now based on LMP, and feeling rotten! Constantly nauseous (although haven’t been sick like I was with DS1), and so so tired! Been going to sleep at toddler’s bedtime this week as I just can’t hack staying awake 🤣

I would say I can’t wait for the second trimester, but if my first pregnancy is anything to go off, then I won’t feel better for a while yet ☹️

Hope you’re all doing ok!

I must be due around the same time as you then! I'm the same with the tiredness, literally getting in bed at 8pm every night😴

thismotherhoodthing · 20/02/2025 11:21

@Lou98x I'm almost 13 weeks and still feeling rotten! Got my scan tomorrow so hoping all is ok and really hoping the nausea and tiredness lessen soon.

I've booked NIPT tomorrow too, same day as my scan. I did mention this to the clinic and they didn't seem to think it was an issue. Does anyone know if there is an issue doing this?

OrchardBlack · 20/02/2025 12:52

How's everyone doing?

I'm 9W2D, which I'm pretty sure is the furthest along I've ever been 🙏

My sickness has finally eased off, was admitted to hospital twice but finally pushed for Xonvea and it's been a life changer. I do now have some sort of infection though so on antibiotics 😫

Had my booking appointment and tbh it wasn't great. Felt rushed. There was two midwives, one was training, who was actually the nicer one. The other was just quite bossy to her and telling her to just put 'no' in all the question boxes??

Just feel like its one thing after another at the moment.

How did everyone else get on with their booking appointments?

Sorry to hear you've had such a rough time with the sickness and an infection. Hope things start to improve.

I'm surprised the midwife at your booking appointment was that way. Are they classing you as high or low risk?

My booking appointment went well but that's the only part of the NHS experience that has gone well so far tbh... The team of midwives I'm under don't seem great. They didn't want to accept me as a patient until I kept calling and complaining (there's a whole separate MN thread I started on that saga..!) And then they don't seem to see getting the combined test / scan within 13 weeks as a priority, which is a worry. The midwife I saw at the booking appointment was actually from another team and covering for someone so I think that's why she was much better. Worried I'll have someone else next time!

Will you have your booking appointment midwife throughout?

Fluffydino21 · 20/02/2025 14:35

Has anyone ever had their 12-week scan on a weekend? DP and I are meant to be going away for a weekend with his family on a Friday and coming back on a Sunday.

With the midwife saying I might have less than 48 hours notice of the scan date I've been worrying it'll be on the Friday and we'll have to miss a day of the trip, but if there's a possibility it could be scheduled on the Saturday or Sunday then that's even more of a disaster... And wouldn't be even time to reschedule.

LovingMamaWifeTeacher · 20/02/2025 15:24

Little update from me. The improved sickness meant nothing as I’ve spent all day chucking up today. But had my 12 week scan and baby is cooking nicely 😍 EDD is 03/09/25 ❤️

@Fluffydino21 I think Saturday is a risk; my hospital definitely seems to do appointments on Saturdays. But it probably varies by trust.

Oh no.. well we'll just have to wait and see. Most important thing is the baby but have just been so looking forward to the trip, especially during all the weeks staying in sick and exhausted.

I'm suddenly feeling the best I've felt in months today at 10 weeks... It's really freaking me out and instead of enjoying it it's making me nervous something's up!

Hi everyone, I’m new to the group - I had a scan today confirming I’m 8 weeks today which means my due date is end of September😊 (I’ve been waiting to find out if due date was end of Sept or beginning of Oct before joining any posts). Has anyone set up a WhatsApp chat for Sept 2025 due dates to chat on more easily?

Congratulations!!
We have a very active September 2025 watsapp group. The link was shared early in the thread if you wanted to join.

Oh amazing! I will see if I can find and join - my sister had one throughout her pregnancy (she was a Sept 2024 Mumma!) and loved having the support and community♥️

Hi everyone, sorry I've not managed to catch up just yet.

I've made a watsapp group should anyone want to join

Hopefully the link works.

Hi lovely, I’ve just tried to click the link to join but it doesn’t seem to be working. Would you be able to resend the link again so I could try again? xx

thismotherhoodthing · 20/02/2025 22:40

@LovingMamaWifeTeacher that's brilliant congrats. What a lovely scan pic.

@Fluffydino21 were you able to call the hospital to ask about the scan?

Ours is tomorrow morning and I'm feeling nervous. Still got really strong sickness and nausea but will be 13 weeks on sat

Melusina123 · 21/02/2025 08:37

All the best for today @thismotherhoodthing !

Nothing much to report here - still waiting for NIPT results - they said 2-5 days last Friday so it should definitely be today. I'd like to say if I haven't heard by lunch I'll call and chase them but... I've had the grottiest cold the last few days and completely lost my voice! Nausea has got noticeably better this week, so much so that I've dropped a tablet on the Xonvea. Just telling myself it's normal for it to start to get better around 11/12 weeks (which is what I am).

Sept25bub · 21/02/2025 08:49

Hi,
I am 9+5 and I’ve had a little pink discharge last night and this morning.
when I had my booking appt two days ago I asked what would be normal if I bled and she said discharge if it stopped after a day or two. I feel like there’s no reason it should be the worst but I can’t stop worrying still. Has anyone else had this and it come to nothing? X

thismotherhoodthing · 21/02/2025 10:33

All fine at the scan. Baby looking good. They said NT measuring very small but still did the combined test even though we're doing NIPT. Not sure why! Measuring a few days ahead so DD is now 29.08

Going for NIPT shortly even though I had bloods taken at the hospital too. Hope I don't get into trouble!

Think we will wait until after NIPT comes back to tell anyone although plan on telling working soon.

thismotherhoodthing · 21/02/2025 10:54

@Sept25bub I've had bleeding in both my pregnancies in the first trimester. Both times it was fine, the first pregnancy it was a cervical ectropian. This time they couldn't see any reason for it on my scans and just said it was likely cervical.

If it's just pink discharge I don't think it's a huge cause for concern - unless you have any risk factors. Have you had any early scans for reassurance?

Sept25bub · 21/02/2025 12:05

Thanks for getting back to me.
just the discharge so far. I’ve not had any early reassurance scans as I’m not high risk and it’s my first pregnancy.
Your response is exactly what I wanted to hear so fingers crossed it’s all ok. I was starting to feel like I could relax as i’d finally made it to the booking appt and seemed like I am nearly there re scan date and this has thrown me for a wobble a bit!
thanks

Melusina123 · 21/02/2025 15:17

Finally got the call back on the NIPT - low risk for the main three trisomies, thank goodness! We didn’t opt for the more comprehensive screen because this one came back faster. Glad to be through that milestone; next one is the NHS 12 wk scan next Tuesday.

@Ncl31 I’ve messaged you about joining the WhatsApp group, is that OK?

Mol1820 · 21/02/2025 16:36

@Ncl31 @Melusina123 would you be able to give me the link to the WhatsApp group too? Would love to join x

although not my experience, my friend had bleeding throughout her first trimester with both her pregnancies! Her first is completely healthy with 0 issues and she’s now 24 weeks with her 2nd. If it continues/gets heavier then do get checked out but absolutely could be nothing to worry about at all xxx

Congrats!
We had the call today as well and all low risk, phew!

Had a 12w scan yesterday and then told our families and friends which was really lovely ❤️

Thank you!

Hi everyone!

11 weeks today with healthy baby, but I’ve had a nightmare few days.
Had the biggest bleed ever, literally gushing, A&E, thought there’s no chance, but it was a large hematoma.
To say I’m traumatised is an understatement. So grateful to see baby moving arms and legs and that baby is measuring bang on in line with last period dates now too. 🥹 reassured by doc that no risk to pregnancy though
