Had my booking in appointment on Tuesday, but no word about 12 week scan yet. In my trust, you tend to get a letter a week or two after your bloods form arrives, so they inform FMU when you self refer.
I'm classed as super high risk this time, so currently referred to the pre-term birth clinic consultant and midwife, fetal medicine consultant, and antenatal team so most of my appointments will happen at hospital rather than community.
At my early scan on Monday, they measured my cervix for a baseline due to the 2nd trimester loss, and found my cervix is only 11mm, so this pregnancy has 0% of going full term. We will be lucky if we make it to 3rd trimester.
At the moment, they're trying to see how early they can get the screening done, and try to book me in for as close to 12 weeks as possible. Then, it will be a case of a cerclage, progesterone and just trying to get as far as possible.
Not the follow up to the loss of our baby boy that we'd hoped for. They are, however, being proactive for us this time. It's all we can ask for now.
