@Rockyslife wow! That's amazing! Congratulations! Especially, after so many losses! I bet you're over the moon!!! Now, enjoy this moment to it's full! You deserve it! :)

UrbanSquirrel · 05/08/2024 12:37

Huge congrats @Rockyslife - what wonderful news! Haven't a clue about the baby, though, I'm sorry to say... But perhaps we have some nub theory experts lurking among us?

It’s not always visible and I don’t think it is in that scan photo. Not visible on mine either!

Rockyslife · 05/08/2024 12:51

@UrbanSquirrel @Piluka thank you so much. I’ve been in a daze for the last 9 weeks and now it finally feels like it’s happening. Just so happy that it can happen xx

UrbanSquirrel · 05/08/2024 12:53

@OrangeSlices998 To be fair I went in knowing the sex of our baby and I STILL couldn't see what the sonographer was showing me 😂

Piluka · 05/08/2024 13:37

@Rockyslife you'll see in a year you'll be enjoying your little baby! I had a look on Google about the nub theory (I never heard about it before) I looked back at my scan and everything looked a nub to me. Hahaha I wish i could help you. Btw, what would you like to be?

Rockyslife · 05/08/2024 13:43

@Piluka id love to know how they work it out it’s all very confusing but a lot of people are adamant aren’t they. I really don’t mind, just so intriguing to know we’re growing our baby and the sex of it is known but only to the baby 😂

superj21 · 05/08/2024 14:30

Finally had our 12 week scan! I know I'm 12+4 but bean was measuring 13 weeks so they've brought our due date to 10 Feb 😊 it rolled over on its side facing us at one stage, was so cute!

@KittyFantastica huge congratulations, really lovely.

@SBelfast fantastic news your tests came back low risk and a little boy! I think that’s the first one on the thread.

@Rockyslife congratulations! I’m afraid I haven’t a clue about the nub theory but I’m sure someone will.

@UrbanSquirrel I was saying to the sonographer today I have no idea how you know what all these things are. She was so lovely pointing everything to me during the scan. :)

UrbanSquirrel · 05/08/2024 14:35

Looking wonderful @superj21 - congrats! So lovely to see everyone's pictures 💚

OP posts:
LilacSnail · 05/08/2024 14:35

@superj21 congratulations! Glad the scan went well.

My due date was bought forward too, now it’s 9th Feb. One step closer to the second trimester which I think starts at 14 weeks. Hoping the nausea will be making an exit then. X

superj21 · 05/08/2024 14:44

Thanks @UrbanSquirrel and @LilacSnail! I feel like I can really let myself get more excited now rather than constant worrying. She didn't say anything about the NT measurement although I think on the screen it said 1.8mm? She did say everything looked normal though and nothing of concern. Feels like a bit of a blur now and wondering if I was meant to be asking questions!

UrbanSquirrel · 05/08/2024 14:47

@superj21 I am certain they would have flagged any concerns, rather than waiting for us to ask particular questions 🤗 So it looks as though all is well, and, yes, now comes the time when we can all start relaxing a bit more - thank God! x

UrbanSquirrel · 05/08/2024 14:50

Also, we've got to the 14 week mark today here in Surbiton! Second trimester, here we come... 🎉 🥳 😂

OP posts:
LilacSnail · 05/08/2024 14:52

@UrbanSquirrel ooo wonderful news on hitting the 2nd trimester milestone.
Are you feeling any different? (Rather hoping a switch will flip and I’ll just wake up glowing with plenty of energy & no sickness?! 😂) x

UrbanSquirrel · 05/08/2024 14:58

@LilacSnail Probably best for me to revisit this question when I've finished getting over this cold, because at the moment 'haggard' and 'knackered' are the two adjectives that come to mind most easily 😂

OP posts:
superj21 · 05/08/2024 15:07

Yay @UrbanSquirrel ! I'm sure once you're feeling better the glow will come on. @LilacSnail hopefully you feel better soon. I'm definitely feeling a lot more human !

5431go · 05/08/2024 16:27

I feel awful today! Sick, bloated, headache, lethargy…. And I start a new job on Wednesday 🥲

UrbanSquirrel · 05/08/2024 16:35

So sorry to hear that you're feeling under the weather @5431go. How many weeks are you now?

So exciting about the job though! You might find that adrenaline kicks in and helps you out - failing that, treat yourself to a coffee (one won't hurt). And go show them how brilliant you are! 👏🏻 x

OP posts:
5431go · 05/08/2024 17:12

Thanks @UrbanSquirrel

I’ll be 12 weeks on Wed, not had any appointments or anything yet!

To be perfectly honest I have been having way too much caffeine as I have been working night shifts for the past 6 weeks!

Really hope to be feeling better soon!

elb1504 · 05/08/2024 17:16

Congratulations everyone on scans! Nice to hit the milestones, makes a massive difference!

Redapple21 · 05/08/2024 17:43

Congratulations all on the scans! Wonderful news! I have mine tomorrow and I am quite nervous now. Hopefully all will be well.

UrbanSquirrel · 05/08/2024 18:06

Very best of luck @Redapple21! Let us know how it goes!

rsih91 · 05/08/2024 18:17

Hello,

Due the 26th feb, and have my first scan on Friday. This will be baby number 5!

Congratulations everyone :)

Piluka · 05/08/2024 18:47

@superj21 the baby moved to face you guys! You have them very well behaved. Ours was siting down (like waiting for the train while reading a book kind of) and the sonographer could measure them properly so I ended up doing jumping jacks, shaking my bum, walking for a while, etc. Several times. The baby is not out and is already a pain in the ass, Hahahahahaha. It took it from their mum. Hahahaha

I'm really happy for you. I'm due the 9th as well as @SBelfast so they would be the day behind waiting for yours. :)

jaybeez · 05/08/2024 18:50

@5431go feeling exactly the same as you and I'll also be 12 weeks on Wed! Hoping it's short lived. Been feeling absolutely rubbish and feeling very sorry for myself. Hope you start to feel better soon.
