@Mrbay from all of my early scans and last period I should be due 2nd march but last 2 scans baby's measured to be due 3rd march so either all..positioning makes it hard for accuracy at this stage doesn't it! Good luck at your scan ..please update us🥰

10 week scan today baby's all good and well measuring on point with heartbeat of 170bpm..supposedly a normal heartbeat for this gestation..we are delighted🌸

6 week scan on the dot... baby measuring well and strong heartbeat 💓

Mrbay · 05/08/2024 18:37

I can't count! I'm 9 weeks at some point this week 😆

Scan went well, well they did forget about me and I went in an hour and half after my appointment time.

Baby measures 8wks 5days and strong heartbeat was seen. Still doesn't feel real!

@Ellsx6 and @Livingonhope that's brilliant news!!

@Mrbay 10 weeks today! Feeling so nervous as have another scan booked for tomorrow morning. We had one a week ago and all was good but don't really have any symptoms like most. Just tired headache and heavy boobs really but I'm not feeling really rough or anything..I'm petrified of missed miscarriage. This is my first pregnancy and finding it really hard mentally :/ praying for good scans tomorrow! X

I’m the same. Was 10 weeks on Saturday and haven’t really had symptoms like I expected. Mostly only sore boobs on and off and a bit of fatigue. Had a scan at 9 weeks though which was absolutely fine. I’m grateful not to have awful sickness but the lack of it also fuels my anxiety. Decided to try and have no further scans until my 12 week one in 2 weeks.

Ellsx6 · 05/08/2024 19:45

@GlitteringCat Your not alone..I've had sore boobs, headache , fatigue all on and off. Tbh I don't feel pregnant it still doesn't feel real I just feel as usual. The sonographer I had today said most common time to MC is 6-8weeks so seeing heartbeat at 9 weeks the risk lowers massively. Then once you've had a scan that shows yolk sac is gone and placenta has taken over and baby's still grown with strong heartbeat, the risk of MC is the same as what it will be after 12 weeks. I was so happy with my scan today as placenta has taken over and baby's fine so I feel very assured that it's going to be okay. My nhs scan will be at 12+4 so I may perhaps have 1 more private between now and then given my anxiety heightens. My mother has all the pregnancy symptoms and had a mmc found at 12 weeks so symptoms aren't the sign of a healthy ongoing pregnancy at all🥰

@Mrbay thankyou lovely, I'm glad your scan was positive too!💕

I would have quite liked one more scan between 9 week and 12w4d NHS one but having already had 3 due to spotting I don’t think my husband would be impressed 😅 just keep wanting to see how it looks and check it’s still okay. £75 a go isn’t cheap though! Although the private one I went to does video recordings to keep which I wouldn’t get on nhs!

Hello all, I’ve had some cramps today followed by some brown discharge and now some redder blood- like a light period. Assuming this doesn’t end well? I’m also in Paris so struggling to speak to anyone.

Sorry to hear that, I've not experienced that so unable to advise. How many weeks are you? X

HappyGoLucky31 · 06/08/2024 08:04

@ConfusedCrab I wouldn’t say so necessarily, first trimester bleeding is common lovely.

call your EPU at the hospital this morning and ask them to see you. Could be a very simple explanation. Don’t want to give false hope but first trimester bleeding isn’t always bad news ❤️ I’ve lived through it and have a nearly 4 year old to show.

lots of love x

ridl14 · 06/08/2024 09:01

Hope everyone is well 🫂 we had our first scan recently at what we thought was 9w+4 and got told the baby was measuring 10w+2! NHS dated it at 10w with no scan yet and the midwife said she thought dates would line up soon. Healthy heartbeat and it was surreal to see the baby moving around.

We've started telling a few people, just close family and friends which actually feels like a huge relief. After we told my BIL I got to be honest about the nausea I've been experiencing, went out and managed to eat some lovely food and when we left theirs DH had to pull the car over so I could be sick out of it 😥 but it's nice to stop having to pretend to be completely fine.

I've got my NHS 12 week scan coming up next week and next couple of appointments.

Currently on summer holiday (teacher) and dreading going back as my timetable is quite nightmarish at least 3 days of the week. Still spending a lot of time sleeping and feeling sick, hopefully it clears up by the end of the month and I'll ask for some adjustments like being able to go to the loo when I need to. My bladder cannot take 3h without a bathroom trip right now!

Fletchasketch · 06/08/2024 14:28

7 weeks today and the morning sickness has just kicked in which is both unpleasant and a relief at the same time. Have also had midwife appointment booked in for 6th September and 12 week scan for 12th September so all starting to feel very real. Sending big hugs to anyone suffering with symptoms or anxiety- look after yourselves.

InvisibleDragon · 06/08/2024 14:31

@Fletchasketch same here! Utterly revolted by colleague's smoked salmon in the office this morning. Had to leave the room to get away from it! And the fatigue feels like it's ramping up too - so hard to get my brain in gear for anything!

veggiebuns · 06/08/2024 14:39

I had to go home at lunch time today after sitting at my desk nearly in tears all morning. I've had nausea (no sickness yet) for about a week, and I'm really struggling with it. Even my partner got upset when I explained how exhausting and debilitating it is to have this "ooh I'm about to throw up" feeling sat in your chest and stomach, 24/7. I can't make myself sick, not that I think it would help. So I'm just having to accept it, whilst also trying to hold it together as my colleagues don't know yet. Was just all too much to sit and pretend I'm okay, so I took myself home at lunch and immediately felt better being able to relax at home not having to cover up how I'm feeling. Oh and I'm pretty sure I'm only 6weeks so I've got a long way to go!😍😍

lol, I must admit I've never liked smoked salmon full stop- would probably be unbearable now! I'm very lucky that I can work from home I realise. Hope the sickness eases soon.

Omg the fatigue and nausea! I'm very lucky to be on school holiday atm, sleeping an insane amount and a lot of nausea, some vomiting, off most food, the occasional intense craving. Dreading going back as I know it will be really intense and tough to leave if ill.

Poor you though I know the feeling having to run away when something makes you sick!! My MIL made us some mackerel before we told her I was pregnant 🤢

Superscientist · 06/08/2024 15:16

I have had quite a bit of time off with sickness. I've been WFH this week which has meant I have been a bit more productive

I'm now 10 weeks and if it is any help by nausea was worst weeks 7 and 8. I'm vomiting most of the food I eat especially during the day. My evening meal is some times ok but the crippling nausea has improved and I have chunks of time without nausea which means I'm functioning better

Don't suffer in silence I was prescribed cyclizine in part due to the crippling nausea although I was also being sick.

I'm finding sipping smoothies better than water. It's a bit thicker and the sugar helps. I tend to get a aversion to the taste of water. I made my daughter a birthday cake and it tasted rancid yesterday but I've been reassured that it still tasted ok to everyone else. The body is weird!

gormlessgoldilocks · 06/08/2024 16:23

Had a scan after spotting today and we got to see a heartbeat 🥺 dates are measuring nearly a week out from what I know to be ovulation and from when I got my positive test but I'm telling myself little bean will catch up by 12 weeks 💕

Mintcar78 · 06/08/2024 16:41

Hello, very excited and nervous joining this thread. I am 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant with our first child, due date 29 March, so could well be an April baby. Not suffering too badly with the nausea, a bit but it's manageable, but the tiredness is on another level! Having naps when I finish work and can barely stay up past 10pm! Attempting my first gym class since I found out today, not sure how well it will go!

Ellsx6 · 06/08/2024 18:52

@gormlessgoldilocks congratulations💕our baby was measuring 2 weeks behind turns out I ovulated a whole 2 weeks later as every scan since then has been growing as it should so I wouldn't worry. I wasn't worried as we only had intercourse twice. Once when I should've ovulated and once 2 weeks later so it was possible it could've been 2 weeks later, I usually do ovulation test monthly and it's always bang on but we didn't this one month as we was on holiday so didn't bother taking them. We've been trying to conceive for 4 years (husband works way and has low sperm count from tests so we knew it could take longer) now 10w1 and our weekly scans have always been fine with correct growth. Maybe 1 day out sometimes due to position but baby is always caught up (or changed position) by next scan! Xx

Ellsx6 · 06/08/2024 18:54

Anyone on here also around 10 weeks? Round ligament pain has been crazy past few days not painful just pulling sensations and feels so strange (first time pregnant here) see midwife and explained it and showed her where she said defo is round ligament. Clothes are also starting to get tighter which tbh I'm gutted about so early on. Just feel so bloated and huge ..after losing 6 stone naturally that I worked so hard for seeing that I've gained a stone back in first 10 weeks has been so so hard! Worried I'll be told off for such a weight gain so quick when I get weighed again at next midwife appt :/

HappyGoLucky31 · 06/08/2024 19:41

@Ellsx6 9w2d here and ditto with the clothes getting tighter.

this is my 2nd pregnancy and I can’t believe I’ve got an undeniable tiny baby bump. I honestly don’t think I’ll be able to hide it for too long. When I go back to school in September the kids will definitely notice.

I lost a lot of weight last year too - is it really vain to be a little bit sad about this? 🙈

Ellsx6 · 06/08/2024 19:46

@HappyGoLucky31

I definitely don't think it's a bump for me yet haha I wish maybe I wouldn't feel so guilty then. It's probably just that I'm eating 4 meals a day atm to keep my energy up and the fact my belly hurts of hunger pains if not🤣main craving being cakes sweets or salty chips from mcds 🥲I think I'm just scared for the weight gain again. It took me years to get my bum into gear and actually lose weight and I feel like I'm piling back on again and even a tracksuit feels right now😭I know it'll all be worth it but I'm struggling knowing I will get bigger over the next 9 months🥲

Lalalala77 · 07/08/2024 07:33

so I’ve woken up today at what should be 8 weeks and feel like my very minor symptoms have all but disappeared. I didn’t have many to start with, but more hungry, fatigued and had sore boobs but my boobs feel almost back to normal. I had a miscarriage in the 8-9th week of my last pregnancy so feeling a bit anxious!
Not sure what my goal is with posting this, hopefully to get a bit of reassurance if it’s happened to anyone else?
Im trying to put off my first scan but may end up having one this week if this continues.
