@ridl14 @Kingofthetyrantlizards the recent CQC report for the nearer hospital has them carrying 60 midwife vacancies!! I'm currently minded to do antenatal there though as more convenient and then switch to the hospital where I had my LO towards 35 weeks... but I might just go with them again from the beginning. 🤷‍♀️

ridl14 · 22/06/2024 09:25

I'm so sorry for your loss @VLT36 💐 I cannot imagine what you've been through. Really happy for you with your positive, wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy xx

Thank you @ridl14 . It was the hardest thing that i've ever been through, and lots still ongoing unfortunately with coroner reports for the twins etc outstanding, complaints to the hospital etc, and I'm sure that it will be going on a for a few years yet. Sadly, it was all avoidable if the hospital had just listened to me. I told them I was in labour, and not one Dr or Midwife listened to me. 😔

I haven't booked a midwife appointment yet, as I want to have an early scan first to make sure everything is progressing as it should. Then I need to find out how I avoid having any care in the hospital that the twins were born in, because I do not trust their care at all. However, that is the closest hospital for an hour ish, so I'm not sure how I go about this. I previously had my older two children there some years ago, but never again.
Like @Melusina123 my local hospital the CQC report for maternity care is not an ive read at all, and i've not heard many good stories from it in the last few years.

On a more positive note though, I got a positive digital CB yesterday 1-2 weeks at 11DPO, and my FRER has darkened in the last two days too. Easy at home tests have very slow, and questionable progression, but I think this can be the case with these! And on the whole have got darker.

I hope you are all well today 😊

ksc912 · 23/06/2024 14:56

Hi All,

Congratulations on your pregnancies. I joined the Feb group but provisional due date is 28th Feb so thought I may be better off joining you all if that's ok?

Kingofthetyrantlizards · 23/06/2024 19:37

Of course @ksc912! Congratulations! How are you feeling?

I'm so sorry @VLT36, that must be so tough 😔 . I'm glad your tests are getting darker. With DD I was definitely given the choice of hospital, but I think they were probably under the same trust, there's no way they can force you to give birth somewhere you're unhappy with though, so they must be able to do it.

@Melusina123 I've just looked at the one for my local hospital and it was rated as requires improvement last October, given it'll be Feb/March before I'm there I'll hoping it might have gotten better (scans etc are at another hospital). DD was born there and while it wasn't smooth they did go into action when needed, plus I had my tfmr there more recently and the care I got from fetal medicine team was exemplary so I know it's not all bad.

I'm trying so hard not to worry this time around - haven't felt much nausea the last couple of days which is worrying me but it's still early I guess.

m00ngirl · 23/06/2024 20:41

I just found out today I'm pregnant for the first time ever, after 11 cycles of trying... suspected endo and am in my 30s.

Am 14 DPO today and got positives on 3 different test brands with same FMU sample including clearblue digital but would like them to be a bit stronger!

Had a negative clearblue ultra early at 10 DPO and don't feel particularly pregnant - mild cramping and quite tired.

I'm over the moon but nervous about it working out ok and how I'm going to stay mentally calm and positive over the next few weeks without knowing if it's viable! I'll book a private scan for 7-8 weeks.

Thanks for the thread, I'm learning a lot from others' posts! Sort of reassuring to know it's not only me feeling a bit on edge at this early stage as well.

Due date 2 March 🤩

Congratulations and welcome to.all the newbies..

I did another cheapie today and there doesn't seem to be any progression it's still faint. Did a 25miu test and had a faint on there too So thinking of getting a different brand tomorrow just to see.

Been feeling so tired today and breathless .. feeling unfit already 😂

Hey everyone, I found out on Friday that I’m pregnant and all being well due 1st March. Thought it would be nice to speak to others at the same point!

Really happy but also incredibly anxious and cautious. Main symptoms have been awful bloating and little sharp pains all over the place. Maybe emotional too, had a bit of a breakdown after a couple of cramps earlier, but hoping it’ll get better and I’ll be less anxious. Hoping to book a viability scan around 7 weeks to confirm things a little.

ninaballerina12 · 24/06/2024 06:58

@m00ngirl Ah we have the same due date 🤩 congratulations on your BFP! I am feeling quite nervous too after my loss in February and worried the time is going to DRAG - I found out I was pregnant at 3+6 which seems so early! I was week 4/5 when I found out with my DS and MC.

I usually do a lot of intense exercise but going to completely ease off over the coming weeks and try walking and yoga to try to keep my stress to a minimum! I am about to start a new role at work and getting married in 3 months which doesn’t help matters but here we are 😅

Great idea about the scan, I think I’ll do the same this time!

m00ngirl · 24/06/2024 13:18

@ninaballerina12 ahh lovely!! Sounds like you have such an exciting few months ahead, it could make a lovely announcement at your wedding..? Hope you can take it easy as well, more relaxing exercise sounds like a good idea. I'm going to try to up my exercise once I've had a scan, but gently!

Does anyone else get headaches in early pregnancy? I have an incredible headache today which is unusual for me.. I'm only 4w + 2!

NewMumSendHelp · 24/06/2024 15:41

Jumping into this group. Did tests today from 2 different brands, both had a faint line. Will test again in a few days time. I have no idea what all these acronyms mean DPO, BFP etc! But my expected due date would be 8th March - roughly, I had to use a calculator and don’t know how long my cycles are so it’s a guesstimate. I already have 1DD so I know due dates are only a guide anyway

Melusina123 · 24/06/2024 15:56

@m00ngirl Welcome! Later on I had real trouble with headaches last time because the relaxin threw all the muscles of my neck out. This early on maybe most likely to be dehydration? I'm really trying to be way more on it than usual about drinking water (I'm usually the worst).

Welcome to our other new joiners as well, and congratulations 🎉

Kingofthetyrantlizards · 24/06/2024 16:48

@NewMumSendHelp Congratulations! DPO = days post ovulation, BFP = big fat positive.

Hope everyone's having a good day so far, and congrats to all the new joiners! I must admit with the heatwave that's coming this week I'm kind of grateful that I won't be heavily pregnant in the summer like I was with DD 😆

ninaballerina12 · 24/06/2024 17:10

Congrats new joiners! Is it just me or are you completely exhausted already?! I am only 4+1 but feel like I have been hit like a tonne of bricks and everytime I stand up I feel light headed 🥴 I have a work trip to London tomorrow which I am slightly dreading, especially as a double espresso coffee can’t come to my aid!

Thank you! I thought that was the case with DPO but the other I had no idea. So much terminology.

I don’t know about tiredness but I have felt so sick today. Part of me thinks it’s psychological as I was so, so sick in my last pregnancy. But we’ll see.

I can’t imagine being in the 3rd tri in this weather (part of aiming for a spring baby!)

Exhausted and the heat isn't helping 🥵

ChristmasJumpers · 24/06/2024 18:46

My main symptom today is being overly emotional! I dropped my 15 month old off at nursery for a 2 hour taster session and cried for 2 solid hours until we picked her up 😭 it is not the first time I've left her, she's been with a childminder from 10 months old! This just felt different for some reason🥺

GlitteringCat · 24/06/2024 18:56

Could anyone help me out with what day I’m at? Flo says I’m 4 weeks 3 days but other things say 4 weeks 2 days. My LMP was 25th May. Counting days it’s 4 weeks and 3 days but lots of other things say 2 so I’m confused!

VLT36 · 24/06/2024 20:11

@ninaballerina12 oh wow a very busy few months for you! Exciting though!

@m00ngirl yes headaches have always been one of my first symptoms. They aren't nice at all!

@ChristmasJumpers awww bless you! Bloody hormones!! 😂

@GlitteringCat based on LMP 4+2 today!

Hope everyone has had a good day. I've suffered really badly with hay-fever today. Not been fun at all!!!

Sugargliderwombat · 24/06/2024 20:50

Hi everyone! I've just got a very faint positive too 😊 we were trying but still feels a massive shock!

I took a test after someone took a photo of me yesterday and my boobs looked huge!

PregnantNowScrewed · 24/06/2024 20:58

Hello! Tentatively joining. Had a lot going on - found out last Monday I’m at risk of redundancy, got my bfp on Tuesday, tested positive for covid on Wednesday!

Ive been absolutely floored by the covid and obviously really stressed by the redundancy thing. This is dc3 and a little unexpected - DH and I had one night of throwing caution to the winds and then regretted it the next day, but thought nothing of it. Kids are 6 and 3 and I’m 37.

Congratulations to all of you and so sorry for your losses @VLT36

Oh and I think my due date is 1-3 March (3 by LMP but pretty sure I ovulated early so would be 1 March). I measured ahead with both my kids so might well get bumped to an end of February due date, and then go “overdue” again…

lipgoss · 24/06/2024 20:58

Tentatively joining after a strong positive this morning! First pregnancy and first cycle without contraception, so I'm pretty gobsmacked. I have been tracking my periods since I came off the pill (using condoms) but didn't do any testing to pinpoint ovulation, just went with the date given by Flo to 'see what happened' this first try...
Wasn't at all expecting a positive but period was due and based on Flo's date am 16DPO so am confident in the result.
No real symptoms so far except being quite bloated, only really tested as my husband is going away for work and I thought on the off chance it had happened I'd prefer to find out before he goes... Hoping no symptoms is nothing to be anxious about this early, and for a successful and smooth pregnancy.

Congratulations to you all!

Same as me! This is our first cycle and I didn’t expect anything for at least a few months, only took a test to confirm a negative and was beyond shocked to see a second line! I feel so luckily how easily this has happened but also a little anxious like it’s maybe been too easy. But just trying to be positive and enjoy each day as it comes. I’ve not really any symptoms either but been reading it’s usually about 6 weeks you’ll start to see them.

EleMar · 24/06/2024 23:20

Also had a very faint line yesterday on clearblue at 9 DPO and today with one of the cheapie - hoping for a nicer line tomorrow! This is our first attempt after a miscarriage in May.

Sending positive vibes to everyone!🙏

VLT36 · 25/06/2024 10:07

Congratulations to all of the newcomers 😊Wishing you all a happy and healthy 9 months!
Amazing how you have got lucky at your first attempt @GlitteringCat @lipgoss. Try not to stress too much, my first son was the first ever cycle of trying, and I had a lovely pregnancy with him!!
@Sugargliderwombat The NHS says you can have 2 cups of instant coffee a day whilst pregnant, so no need to completely stop having your morning coffee fix!
@PregnantNowScrewed Awww you sound like you've had a tough few days 😔I hope you are feeling better soon and the redundancy does not come to anything!
