@LV1987 @IMBCRound2 Thanks lovelies, I think I'm still trying to believe it and so good to know more IVF mums through here as well 🤗Even with the same due date, that's crazy! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for your scan on Friday ❤
@Ellsx6 - thank you, is reassuring to read and definitely feeling more positive today! 😊Congrats on your 9w scan, so exciting right?!

@wildhay Congratulations on your scan today! 💕Can I ask if it was an internal or external ultrasound? Hearing the heartbeat for the first time is a huge milestone, I can only imagine how relieved you must've felt xx

I’d like to join please. Feel very panicked. Currently 6 weeks today but had mild cramping period like pain, boob soreness wearing off. I did vomit this morning but nausea has now gone. have had 3 previous miscarriages and am on progesterone pressures.

Have to wait until Friday to be scanned but I just have a feeling…

Hi @sannax , I am also on progesterone pessaries and got very bad period like cramps during the 2ww - I honestly thought I was going to bleed anytime. I am still getting some cramping here and there at 6w specially when I am sitting and not doing much as I am then more aware of everything happening in my body.
Have you tested recently? They say that the period feeling can be related to the progesterone as we are literally taking a really big dose compared to someone not taking them xx

Thanks. I last tested 11 dpo and not since then and don’t think I want to until scan on Friday.

The cramps have gone away so now I’m concerned about the lack of sore boobs because that’s always a first sign of miscarriage for me.

I wonder if the progesterone causes worse nausea because I vomited this morning and have felt nauseous for the last few days and it’s still early in the pregnancy.

In any case I have a sense of impending doom

MillieKitty · 31/07/2024 21:25

@wildhay so happy for you and glad everything is okay!

Sorry to hear that..try and rest until the morning then call epu who should scan you if your spotting? Although I haven't had any spotting, it seems a few people in this chat have had spotting and it's been fine at their scan so hopefully that's the case for you too..are you in pain aswell? Xx

gormlessgoldilocks · 31/07/2024 15:56

For those that have already had scans and had one between 7 and 8 weeks did you have an internal or external scan?

External scan at what measured 7.3 days

Saim86 · 31/07/2024 23:30

@llamabeans sorry to hear the news wishing you a speedy recover and all the best ❤️

Try not to panic, although it is scary when it happens. I had spotting too and had to wait 3 days for a scan, but all was well with baby. Is it fresh red blood or brown? Call the early pregnancy unit if you're worried and they should hopefully see you for a scan

My scan at what turned out to be 6 weeks was external. They did say they'd try internal if they couldn't get a good view of baby.
Last pregnancy my first scan was with the IVF clinic and they did internal at what we knew was 7 weeks

26dX · 01/08/2024 08:59

I thought I'd got away with the nausea but at 7+5 it's starting to kick in 🫠

It's brown and I've been referred for a scan next week. I'm feeling better now it's staying brown and light. Just my panic last night before bed of worried what I might wake up to!
Luckily had my booking appointment this morning so midwife just sorted it for me

Downtherabbithole83 · 01/08/2024 12:24

@gormlessgoldilocks glad that your midwife was able to sort that for you! This thread has shown me how common bleeding is during early pregnancy - when is your scan next week?

Devonmum12 · 01/08/2024 13:41

Hello,

Just joining this tread😊

This is my first pregnancy and I am 6 weeks today. I had some bad pain a fortnight ago and had an early scan yesterday at the hospital and whilst you could see the yolk, they confirmed it was too early to see the heartbeat and it was put down as unconfirmed viability.

Has anyone else has this and its turned out to be okay?

CatmumTTC · 01/08/2024 13:51

I'm going to leave the group. Got woken up by cramps and bleeding, and just had it confirmed by the gynaecologist with ultrasound. I'm on holiday in Finland so at least I got to experience some good healthcare (trying to find the silver lining). Best of luck to everyone xx

Moomoo20 · 01/08/2024 14:11

Anyone else waiting until their 12 week scan and not having a private one sooner?? Husband wants to wait until 12 weeks to tell everyone which is fine but this is my second pregnancy and I'm already bloated as hell, I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and no idea how I'm going to conceal this bloat until 12 weeks 😂

Superscientist · 01/08/2024 14:23

@Moomoo20 we are waiting until the 12 week scan. We did the same when we had my daughter.
We have my in laws visiting before that and I'm regularly bed bound with sickness. When I was expecting my daughter I turned up at Christmas off caffeine and alcohol having asked for a crate of wine as our Christmas present and my sickness started on the 23rd. My mil guessed I was expecting but didn't say anything. I knew she would suspect but my partner didn't want to tell them so it was just there unsaid..
I will do this same when they visit. My mil might already have guessed as we found out I was likely to be pregnant when on holiday with them and mid holiday I stopped drinking and eating the cheeses.

My parents I actively hid my pregnancy and am doing the same this time around. I take my own decaf tea bags and with some slight of hand swap the tea bag in my cup when making drinks or if the make me a drink I tip it away a make myself a new one when they aren't in the room. I was there and horribly nauseous and blamed it on a migraine which I am prone too. I was 17 weeks when I told them last time and if possible I will do the same this time around

It might be worth a chat with your partner about how you want to handle it. The ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies like we do with my in laws or active evasion with my family or something in between

Yes, I am. We had a MMC last pregnancy (the first one) diagnosed at the private clinic and, while they were very good about it, we don't want to go back there due to the memories.

I have no symptoms of miscarriage (but didn't last time either) so we decided to let fate do what it will and enjoy the journey. Hopefully we get good news at 12 weeks and the journey continues...

My last two pregnancies I waited until the 12 week scan. With the last pregnancy I found out at that scan that baby had died at 8 weeks and it was so traumatic, I wished I'd found out sooner as I'd been walking around blissfully unaware. I think I'm going to go for a private scan at 8 weeks this time. I'd like to be able to wait but I'm so anxious this time, I'll be a nervous wreck regardless.

Yes at 5w5 this happened to me. They said it's positive that there's a yolk sac as that means the body's preparing to feed a baby and most early MC don't develop a yolk sac even well that's what was told. At 6w4 I went back and baby had a heartbeat. Try not to worry xx

Ellsx6 · 01/08/2024 17:03

@jellyfish2
My mum had this over 20 years ago. Got to her 12 week scan and told the baby was measuring 6 weeks with no heartbeat and she was so sick with symptoms sore boobs everything you could think of so she didn't have the slightest hint either. When I told her I was pregnant she really pushed for me to get an early scan as she knew how heartbroke she was when it happened to her. Luckily my last scan at 9w1 baby's all good so hoping I'm some semi in the clear although I know no one's ever in the clear 100% I feel very reassured and coping better than I would be if I didn't get that scan xx

Melusina123 · 01/08/2024 18:17

@CatmumTTC soon sorry to hear this, but glad the Finnish health system stepped up! Look after yourself.

CaffeinatedLondoner · 01/08/2024 19:23

Hey there,
Do you know if you're able to get doxylamine over the counter in the UK? My GP practice is absolutely abysmal i.e., I can't get an appointment for weeks, but I'm suffering with awful and unrelenting 'morning' sickness. I've looked around but can only find it with codaine and/or paracetemol added in, which I definitely don't fancy taking!

I bet your mum feels like this was just yesterday too. It's the most awful experience and the thought of going through it again is terrifying. Glad everything was ok at your scan, hopefully everything will be well going forward x
