Unfortunately I am going to miscarry soon. I went for a scan today I measured 7+1 today which is exact dates. The baby had no heartbeat. It seems baby’s heart stopped beating today before the scan. Off to hospital tomorrow for another scan and MC management I imagine. Heartbroken as had a chemical the cycle before. My heart actually hurts x

I'm so sorry to hear this @joleyjojo

Melusina123 · 02/08/2024 09:38

Sadly I'm going to have to tap out as well. Scan today at what should have been 9+3 showed embryo stopped growing at 8+1 and no heartbeat. Another missed miscarriage.

Now just waiting to hear about management, hoping to have the MVA today. Going to hug my little one extra hard when I see him tonight. 💔 All the best for your pregnancy journeys.

I'm so sorry to see mummas stepping away. Thinking of you all and hope that this isn't the end of your journeys. Take time and space to process the news and be kind to yourselves. Much love 💞

I can’t believe it ! They found a baby and a heartbeat ! The private clinic wasn’t measuring the actual baby it a bump in the sack !!!!!! I’m in shock. I’m worried though because I know when I ovulated exactly and the day I had sex. Measuring 6+1 however they did say it may jump a few days at the next scan. I am in such shock. But I did have slight spotting last wondering if it was from the scan. I just can’t believe how they got is so wrong, the private clinic said there was no visible yolk sac the NHS said it’s as clear as day. I haven’t slept in 24 hours the stress. Having another scan next Friday xx

Superscientist · 02/08/2024 18:35

That's brilliant @Joleyjojo I hope there is more good news on Friday

InvisibleDragon · 02/08/2024 21:18

That's lovely news @Joleyjojo - I'm so relieved for you!

Onthedouble123 · 02/08/2024 22:09

@Joleyjojo that's amazing news! Frightening that the private place can get it so wrong though! (And goes to show why the NHS don't just accept their results) Hope Friday comes round quickly for you and that there's more good news then. Xx

Ellsx6 · 02/08/2024 23:21

@Joleyjojo wow what a relief, amazing news💕

In the earlier days when I was 6 weeks I had a scan at window to the womb and they said there was no fetal pole. I went to epu to be scanned few days later and there was. I actually showed the nhs sonographer the scan picture I got and he pointed out to me that there actually was a fetal pole and showed me where. All worried for nothing. I've never been back since, I use an independent private hospital now that do ultrasounds too. It's nearly double the price but they have current nhs workers that work there part time too so I feel like I'm in safer hands. I was told by my midwife anyone can open a pregnancy ultrasound clinic and say they scan and there they are a sonographer. It's crazy! I hope you have continued good news when you go back xx

Pregnancy is such a difficult journey. I'm so sorry that you are going through this @Melusina123.

@Joleyjojo this is why my EPU states that the private scans aren't for clinical usage and they shouldn't be advising anything medical. They should have advised you to speak with the EPU. But glad you've had a happy update.

I'm feeling so rough with this pregnancy, I cannot remember feeling so rubbish last time. I'm napping every day for a few hours, hardly eating as I either feel sick or am sick. Scan tomorrow morning to see how everything is progressing, I'm feeling pretty nervous.

How is everyone else? Counting down the days left of the 1st trimester?

Eyesclosedinthesun · 04/08/2024 18:11

Hi, new member here!
Happy to find a forum for others due around the same time as me.
First pregnancy, 6 weeks along and honestly, terrified. Its every thought I have, and I’m full of panic of all the changes ahead.
Hoping for some others who can reassure that all will be okay/maybe feel the same?

Also feeling extremely rough. The nausea is there all day with so many food aversions but constant hunger... and I’m not even 7 weeks. Don't remember it being this bad before.

Ellsx6 · 04/08/2024 19:42

@Mrbay 10 weeks today! Feeling so nervous as have another scan booked for tomorrow morning. We had one a week ago and all was good but don't really have any symptoms like most. Just tired headache and heavy boobs really but I'm not feeling really rough or anything..I'm petrified of missed miscarriage. This is my first pregnancy and finding it really hard mentally :/ praying for good scans tomorrow! X

Also my first and I'm petrified too even though our weekly scans have all been fine. I feel like even after 12 weeks I'll still be scared and I'm really struggling so you're not alone! Congratulations xx

@Ellsx6 I'm 9+4 today and also not really any symptoms - pretty tired, some days more than others, and I was having some on/off mild nausea but not really felt that for a week or two now...
Saw the heartbeat on a scan at 8+1 and read that after that the chance of miscarriage is super low, so just trying to keep positive and count myself as one of the lucky ones who don't really suffer!
Two weeks on Tuesday until my NHS 12 week scan so counting down the days!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow!

Superscientist · 04/08/2024 20:12

I'm still quite nauseous and sick. I'm on my second antiemetic. It is starting to ease a little I think but I do have better and worse days thankfully. Currently 9+5 and have two weeks to go until my scan. It's weird being in limbo it being real and not real.

Ellsx6 · 04/08/2024 20:16

@lipgoss thanks for the kind words. It's nice to hear someone with similar to me as it seems everyone's just extremely sick and rough which makes me feel abnormal..I know symptoms are not a sign of a healthy pregnancy but my brain is my enemy right now. I was feeling very nauseous from week 6 and at 8+2 I woke up and it had disappeared and hasn't come back! Which in hindsight I know I'll be thankful for the no sickness given everything's fine in the end. My scan is at 12w4 and it just feels so long away and I'm so scared of getting there to find the baby stopped growing weeks ago hence why the weekly private scans to hopefully catch the devastation sooner rather than later shall there be any. I find the weekends super hard as no work and I'm not occupied and too tired to do anything but lay in bed in my thoughts🥲I'm praying for us all here that we'll be okay and get our healthy baby's🤍

lipgoss · 04/08/2024 20:29

@Ellsx6 I totally get it - in the beginning I was really hoping to feel sick as some kind of reassurance. Understand on the weekly scans too, and the worry about finding something wrong at 12 weeks; I'd have gone to more but my husband is much more relaxed than me so has been talking me down!
They say you shouldn't wish your life away but in this instance I think we're allowed - wishing you and everyone a speedy wait for the 12 week scan and good news when we get there ☺️

Ellsx6 · 04/08/2024 20:40

@lipgoss my husbands the opposite unfortunately. He's an enabler and is there booking and paying for the scan before I give an input🤣he has severe adhd and patience isn't a thing he has which probably doesn't help me but it's also a hard time for partners too so I understand and I'm not going to say no to extra scans as they actually do give me reassurance. I only seem to get really nervous the day before a scan but after it's such a relief and I love seeing baby grow🥰I hope you have a positive scan too! Be sure to update us xx

Mrbay · 04/08/2024 21:43

@sannax - it sucks so bad! I'm fed of of either not feeling like I want to eat or be able to eat and then throwing it back up.

@Ellsx6 we may be due date twins! I'm 10 weeks between Monday and Wednesday! Good luck with your scan tomorrow!

The tiredness is killing me - each day since Thursday I've had a good 2/3 hour nap!

I'd forgotten how rough the first 12/14 weeks can be.
