BFP after recent loss

I know there are quite a few threads like this, but thought I’d start a new one for those of us going through this just now 🙂

I found out about my MMC at what should have been 7.5 weeks (no growth since 5). Had to have a D&C as my body wouldn’t let go. That was back in mid-April.

I’ve had one period since then and it now looks like I’m pregnant again! Can’t believe we’ve been so luckily to fall again so quickly.

Got a vfl yesterday at 10dpo and the line is a bit darker today at 11dpo. Pic attached has 11dpo at the top and 10dpo bottom. What a shock when I saw that line!

Anyway, I’m already feeling nervous about everything so I thought I’d make a space for people in a similar position to join. Maybe we can help to calm each others’ nerves a bit 💜

Said I wouldn't keep testing but I needed the reassurance today! Happy to report a nice strong line 💪 fingers crossed it bodes well xx

Thanks ladies - feeling a lot better this morning after a good nights sleep. Just need to be patient now and wait for first scan in two weeks.

I got 3+ on the weeks indicator, could that be wrong? I'm 5+0 today. It's first time I got 3+.

Sounds right if you ovulated about 2 weeks after your period. Were you tracking? Honestly though I've heard lots of things about the weeks indicators not being exact on CB digitals so please try not to let it worry you if you think you conceived less than 3 weeks ago xx

No it's very good news for me, because I never got 3+ with my losses. I miscarried before then. I mean I'm definitely not out of the woods or anything but feel like it's something new this time.

@Lemonbalm8 aww that's good! I was worried you were worried about getting 3+ I think it's wonderful news but didn't want to minimise your anxiety. I'm glad you're happy and it's definitely reassuring 👍❤️

@Lemonbalm8 I have a CB digi in the cupboard and was thinking I might do it at the weekend. I don't think my partner is actually going to believe it until he sees the word "Pregnant" in black and white! I will be hoping for a 3+ too! Xx

Yes I also wanted to wait until weekend, really wasn't expecting 3+ today, more like Sunday from my calculations.
My partner is also not talking much about it, I think he is trying to keep grounded, I did show him 1-2 weeks pregnant on dpo 14 and I could see that he was a bit scared 🥺 so now I don't really bring this stuff up, and thinking of going to scan by myself as I can't bear to see him sad.
Anyway, I'm just counting days until scan and hoping it'll be ok, but for today celebrating the good news!

Just spoke with a lovely EPU nurse. She’s not concerned about my spotting since it’s stopped and is usual for me in luteal phase.

They won’t have me to check my cyst as they’ll just combine that with the next scan I have (so presumably 12 weeks if I don’t have to see them before). So looks like I won’t be able to get an EPU scan 😞

I think I’ll book a private scan for 8 weeks - which will be from 20 July for me. That seems like an impossible wait at this point, but I’m terrified to go to a private place too early and be told they can’t see what they’re expecting yet. At least 8 weeks will give me something more concrete either way. What a wait!!

@purplecolouroffunk I'm sorry you won't be seen at EPU for an early scan but in a way it's good that they don't have any concerns at all to merit an appointment. I totally get it's such a long wait though. 8 weeks is a good time to do it to get some peace of mind. Hopefully everything will be as expected and you'll see a little heartbeat! We've used ultrasound direct for all our private scans and always found them to be good, in case that's helpful xx

Just had my scan. All is looking okay, only a sac seen at the moment which they said is expected, nothing inside yet. They have booked me in for a follow up scan on 9th July when I’ll be 6+6 to check progression 🤞

Slightly relieved but also dreading the wait til the next scan! There’s quite a few of us having scans that week aren’t there?

@CosmicLove you’re right! The nurse was like ‘in the nicest way possible, I hope we don’t have to see you’ 😂

Part of me wants to go earlier so I can more quickly deal with any bad news, but I know that will probably end up causing more anxiety going too early.

I guess I’ll just have to cautiously assume everything is okay. I feel like if I don’t do that I’ll drive myself insane and the stress isn’t good for the lil dot I spose.

Great to know it's in the right place and all is as it should be at this time. The wait is hell though. Do you have things on to keep you occupied and keep your mind busy over the coming fortnight? I know it's awful looking ahead at the wait but for now, breathe a sigh of relief that you've climbed the first hurdle and it's very positive news ❤️ xx

Ah that's great they were able to see the sac. It's always surprising they're even able to see anything this early. First scan - done! And it's so lovely that they were able to offer a second scan. Did you manage to ask about progesterone?

I wanted to get some prescription and called my epu first time (I moved house, so not previous epu/hospital) and it took me 45 min to get through to someone! The nurse was really nice and ended the call with "if you need anything, just give us a call" and I realized it is so hard to reach them, at least it was this time. Did anyone have to wait so long to get through? I live in south east London, so maybe it's just a really busy hospital or busy day I don't know...

Ah and thought the call, 5 minutes in she was taking my details to register, the call fell through. I honestly thought I had to wait another 45 min. But thankfully she called back.
