Hello!

I know there are quite a few threads like this, but thought I’d start a new one for those of us going through this just now šŸ™‚

I found out about my MMC at what should have been 7.5 weeks (no growth since 5). Had to have a D&C as my body wouldn’t let go. That was back in mid-April.

I’ve had one period since then and it now looks like I’m pregnant again! Can’t believe we’ve been so luckily to fall again so quickly.

Got a vfl yesterday at 10dpo and the line is a bit darker today at 11dpo. Pic attached has 11dpo at the top and 10dpo bottom. What a shock when I saw that line!

Anyway, I’m already feeling nervous about everything so I thought I’d make a space for people in a similar position to join. Maybe we can help to calm each others’ nerves a bit šŸ’œ

@Lemonbalm8 exactly! Maybe your body is just like 'hey I know what's going on and we're all good!' :) When is your next scan again?

@Lemonbalm8 I'm on 400mg of progesterone twice a day - what symptoms is it suppose to give you?

I've been feeling sick and thrown up a few times but I think it's more anxiety than anything else!

Persipan · 11/07/2024 18:10

IDK about anyone else but progesterone mainly makes me wee so much you could install me as a garden water feature ⛲

Lemonbalm8 · 11/07/2024 18:48

I think earlier on, it's supposed to give you similar symptoms as early pregnancy like sore boobs, tiredness, cramping. I had absolutely no symptoms even though I was on 800 mg of progesterone šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
@torturedpoet13 I think nausea even mild is probably the pregnancy. I don't think progesterone causes that...
@Persipan oh wow, that's interesting! I had lots of weeing in all my pregnancies. This pregnancy is really different

KittyFantastica · 11/07/2024 19:04

I've only had two symptoms thus far @Lemonbalm8 and they've both completely disappeared this morning.

I've been painfully bloated and constipated for a week, and I was having the tiniest little bit of nausea in the evenings before bedtime, but today I woke up with the bloating and everything else gone, my stomach completely flat again, and noticed I've had no nausea for the last two days. I've never really felt properly sick in any of my pregnancies and have yet to have a full term, so in my mind it's already over :(.

I've been mostly lying low because of it. It's so stressful, the waiting. I've a scan end of next week, but I can't even think about it.

Thank you for the reassurance šŸ’š yes I really hope that's what's happening. My next scan is next Friday.

purplecolouroffunk · 11/07/2024 16:31

@Rockyslife I hope you're doing okay. I'm so sorry to hear about your anxieties - it's so understandable when you've had a few losses.

I'm glad you've got a scan booked in for next week. It's a hard one isn't it? Like on the one hand you want to find our earlier rather than later if things aren't going well, but also you want to be far enough along to give a bit more reassurance.

Is your scan next week an NHS scan? If so I'd probably hang on til then if you at all can. 9 weeks will be a great time to hopefully give you some good reassurance. If you were to go for a private scan and found things aren't progressing as you'd like (not that that's what'll happen!) then it might be more stressful than being at an NHS facility šŸ’œ That was my thinking for not booking a private scan too early, anyway.

yeah so the early pregnancy unit booked me in for a scan for next week for reassurance, but part of me needs more reassurance to just get through next week. I feel like everything is going too well and there’s something wrong because I am so used to having problems. I have booked a private scan for tomorrow for some reassurance to you and get me through to the 9ish week stage I kind of regret it now because I didn’t think about the outcome being bad and not being in an nhs setting. Xx

CosmicLove · 11/07/2024 19:19

@Rockyslife please try not to worry about that aspect. If the worst happened, you can just call EPU and I'm sure they will help you immediately. I found out my babies had stopped developing at a private scan and the sonographer was lovely. I called EPU straight away and they took me under their wing and gave me an appointment for the next morning. Sad news is devastating wherever you are, but try to stay positive. I'm sure everything will be completely fine and it'll be great to get that reassurance a bit sooner ā¤ļø xx

purplecolouroffunk · 11/07/2024 19:36

@Rockyslife it does sound like a scan might help to settle your nerves, so sounds like a good idea šŸ’œ

It’s true what Cosmic said - even if you get bad news you’ll be referred to the EPU for help anyway, so you’ll have their full support. I have everything crossed for you tomorrow. What time is your appointment?

I was a complete mess this morning! My successful pregnancy alternated weeks of symptoms, one week full of symptoms and the next all gone. My husband reminded me we even called it "odd weeks" symptom this morning. It is so normal for symptoms to come and go.
I think we both have quite few symptoms in the pregnancy, so it is natural to be worried. Once you see the good heartbeat at week 6 though, I honestly believe that's as good news as we can get. I just convinced myself this afternoon it's all ok, because I had absolutely no symptoms from the start and then got 3+. Then I had a good scan on 6+2 when I didn't expect to see a heartbeat. We are in the same boat, we just need to keep believing it

Loving everyone’s positivity this evening, reading through all your messages has really helped with pulling me out of the anxiety spiral ā¤ļø Going to try and take the attitude that today I am pregnant and worrying will not change the outcome, it will just ruin the next x days / weeks.

I’m feeling this too. If this works out then this will be my final pregnancy and I’m feeling so sad that these first few weeks are just filled with anxiety. I’m trying to be more hopeful and trying to believe there is a healthy baby in there who will thrive. It’s hard, but I’m trying!

@Persipan Sorry but garden feature made me lol šŸ˜‚

@Rockyslife Best of luck for your scan tomorrow, you’ve got this šŸ’™

MrsB2019x · 11/07/2024 23:03

@purplecolouroffunk Massive congratulations to you lovely, I’m so pleased for you! I know how worried you were xx

jellyfish2 · 12/07/2024 07:21

I'm loving all these positivity posts too! @MrsB2019x I feel the same as you too. I guess it's hard after what we've all been through but I was thinking last night the amount of people that have healthy babies, why can't it be my turn? Odds really are in our favour need to remember that!

So I'm 17dpo did the cheap strip test and easy at home as that's what I started with and this is them today! They both came up instantly and darker than before so think I'm done with them🤣 although I still have the clear blue digital and a spare first response that I'll probably crack open over the weekend.

@Bubbles19818 the positivity is amazing isn't it.

When I was about to sleep last night I was thinking about how amazing is that this group of kind, random strangers on the internet have just pulled together to support each other. I think someone said it, but even though I have an incredibly supportive partner, it's just so nice to have people who understand everything and are going through the same thing. Feeling very grateful for you all today :)šŸ’œ

@jellyfish2 your tests are looking great! I think I did tests up until about the 5 week mark and only then felt satisfied enough to stop šŸ˜‚

Morning! I ran out of face cream, shower gel, mascara etc. looking to buy some nice natural cosmetics, does anyone have any recommendations? I am so out of date with these stuff.

Rockyslife · 12/07/2024 11:43

Thank you everything let’s hope I have enough strength to go through with it. Will update when ready xxx

What sort of skin type do you have? Sukin is a lovely range. It's all natural and organic and doesn't have a lot of the nasty stuff in it. I use their rosehip cream cleanser and it's so nice and creamy and is great for my dry skin. I find so many face washes make my face feel so tight. Their moisturisers are lovely too.

Thank you so much, exactly what I'm looking for! I have combi skin, but to be honest I really don't do much skin care. I want to do a bit more, it's so lovely to spend a bit of time in the morning/evening taking care of yourself.
Also is anyone still taking baths? I used to have baths with my son (I am not a bath person but since my little one, I started having more) but since I found out about the pregnancy, I stopped having baths... It's amazing to have a bath before sleep, it just really chills me out šŸ˜‚
