Hello!

I know there are quite a few threads like this, but thought I’d start a new one for those of us going through this just now šŸ™‚

I found out about my MMC at what should have been 7.5 weeks (no growth since 5). Had to have a D&C as my body wouldn’t let go. That was back in mid-April.

I’ve had one period since then and it now looks like I’m pregnant again! Can’t believe we’ve been so luckily to fall again so quickly.

Got a vfl yesterday at 10dpo and the line is a bit darker today at 11dpo. Pic attached has 11dpo at the top and 10dpo bottom. What a shock when I saw that line!

Anyway, I’m already feeling nervous about everything so I thought I’d make a space for people in a similar position to join. Maybe we can help to calm each others’ nerves a bit šŸ’œ

I've decided to bin all the tests because I did a test this morning and it's much lighter šŸ™ˆ I am not going to test anymore, also all tests are safely binned outside so I don't want to look like mad person rummaging my bin šŸ˜‚

@Beks96 Second vote for Easy at Home, always done the job for me!

Lines are looking amazing @CosmicLove @Mommabear96 šŸ˜šŸ˜

My only symptom is hideous acne. I had a huge spot on my face the other day and my daughter said ā€œthat looks like a grape Mummyā€ 😩🤣 other than that nothing. I don’t feel pregnant at all!

How old is your little one @MrsB2019x?
Are you dpo 22 as well?

torturedpoet13 · 27/06/2024 12:48

Hey guys, I've just put all my tests together and checked out the line progression, the first one is from a week today and then I tested every other day. They seem to be getting pretty dark and I don't think I've had them go so dark within a week before, with my 4 losses they're pretty light and get ever so slightly darker but not like this. Praying it's a good sign. I think I'm roughly 19dpo, the last test was today and first one was one week today

I love the name! The lines look really dark, step away if you can, as I got a lighter line today at dpo 22 and it freaked me out. I think once it gets this dark, testing more is not always useful. Have you booked an early scan yet?

She will be 3 in August 🄰 and clearly has no filter 🤣

I stopped counting in dpo lol but I’ve just counted it up and yeah I think I am. I’m 5+1 today. I did my last digital today and that was still 2-3, which I got a week ago today. Trying not to overthink it!

torturedpoet13 · 27/06/2024 13:25

@Lemonbalm8 thankyou! I actually just used my last test so I don't plan on getting more. I haven't booked one but since I've had 4 miscarriages the midwife said that epu will see me between 6-8 weeks for reassurance so I'm waiting for them to get hold of me x

CosmicLove · 27/06/2024 13:50

@Lemonbalm8 @MrsB2019x being 3 yo means they'll have good understanding of the situation, which must be helpful and challenging at the same time! My DD is quite rough with other kids - not intentionally, she's very curious and wants to give everyone kisses and cuddles which rapidly escalates to grabbing and lying on top of! I can just see her poking a baby sibling in the eye on something awful like that! šŸ˜‚ Hopefully she'll be a bit calmer by the time we get there, being a bit older. Assuming we go the distance this time. Isn't it awful we've always got to add that caveat onto our thoughts because of previous loss šŸ˜”

Oh yes my son was the same that age. At 2 years, language developed more and he could tell us what he wants (at least sometimes). He is still quite rough and now he means to hurt when things don't go his way. I'm sure it will be fine anyway, they will learn what is not ok quickly.
@MrsB2019x yes mine has no filter too. It's all part of the fun, it's my fav age x

torturedpoet13 · 27/06/2024 15:12

The hospital called, I have a scan July 11th when I should be 7 weeks. So nervous!

CosmicLove · 27/06/2024 16:22

@torturedpoet13 that's great news! I'm sure it'll feel like an age away but great to have it booked and at 7 weeks you should be able to see a heartbeat šŸ¤ž

@Lemonbalm8 I definitely don't want to wish time away because every stage is so precious, but I'm definitely looking forward to her language coming on a bit more and having her able to articulate herself more. It's a very frustrating time when she's trying to say things and I often just can't get it!

purplecolouroffunk · 27/06/2024 16:30

@Mommabear96, @CosmicLove and @torturedpoet13 those lines are looking great! So glad you've got your scan booked in too Poet.

This would be my first baby, but 3rd pregnancy. I had a termination when I was 19 (terrible relationship, middle of uni) and then an MMC April this year. Really hoping this is it for me.

My boobs are feeling quite a bit more sore today. They're sore on the sides now, like they were last time. My nipples are starting to get that kind of weird 3D thing too (iykwim). Weirdly last time I was so constipated and this time I'm having some of the best poops of my life šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Have we got any other 35+ peeps here? If this pregnancy works out I'd be 36 by the time the baby is born. Just to throw even more worry into the mix, ya know...

Hope everyone is okay today!

@purplecolouroffunk sorry to hear about your losses and I'm hoping this baby sticks for you.

I was just about to ask ages! I'm 28 but my husband is 40 and he's got 2 kids but I have none, we really want one together 😪

If I've not responded to everyone on here I do apologise I find it hard to keep up!

šŸ˜‚ I'm with you in the poop department, I'm taking biokult which is probiotics, so I think it's helping me avoid the insane constipation that comes from taking progesterone. But maybe it's all just different this time.
I am 37 šŸ‘‹šŸ» I don't feel 37 though šŸ˜‚ not that this is going to make much difference.

Lemonbalm8 · 27/06/2024 16:37

So I have been complaining about lack of symptoms. I fell asleep today for an hour, total exhaustion. I also have lower back pain and headache. I am relieved to have symptoms, now I'll probably worry when that's gone... But yes it felt impossible to have symptoms this morning and they can hit out of nowhere.

CosmicLove · 27/06/2024 16:48

@Lemonbalm8 I'm 37 too! 🄰

Mommabear96 · 27/06/2024 17:18

Possibly the baby here at 27 ahah feel like I’m 40 though šŸ˜…šŸ˜©

CosmicLove · 27/06/2024 17:34

@torturedpoet13 @Mommabear96 you 20 somethings are so lucky - I wish we'd started our family earlier. But I can't turn back time and I tell myself we wouldn't have our wonderful wee girl if we'd done it earlier. @Lemonbalm8 I'm with you on not feeling 37! I think I'm about 30 in my head but I fear I'm looking my age lately 🫣

MrsB2019x · 27/06/2024 18:30

I’m 32 so slap bang in the middle! 33 in a couple of weeks though 🫣

Beks96 · 27/06/2024 18:32

@Mommabear96 I'm 27 but feel 40 too🤣

Persipan · 27/06/2024 18:34

I am... so much older than all of you šŸ˜‚

Lemonbalm8 · 27/06/2024 19:13

@Persipan how old is your son if you don't mind me asking? I hope all works out, are you on any pregnancy support meds?

Lemonbalm8 · 27/06/2024 19:17

I'm going to start listening to some podcasts today, one I heard is good is called "Is it normal?". Not sure if it's any good personally. If anyone has good pregnancy yoga, meditation, podcasts to listen to, please share. I feel like I need to just try to get some positivity in even if I don't feel like it often.

Beks96 · 27/06/2024 19:27

@Lemonbalm8 i listened to the is it normal one the other day, the worst girl gang aswell do some good podcasts.

I started yoga after my MC and it has helped me so much. Definitely 100% recommend.

I think I would like to make the switch to prenatal yoga as well but my usual yoga is good for now I think, so long as I listen to my body.

I'm not sure about where to get guided meditation but I have thought about it for sure.

purplecolouroffunk · 27/06/2024 19:56

I started listening to the Is It Normal one last time so might pick it up again.

Would 100% recommend Child, it’s a BBC podcast. It talks about all pregnancy, birth, and right up until a child’s first birthday. She speaks to loads of different experts and also sort of links pregnancy in a social context too which is cool. Some of it is really beautiful and brought me to tears!

I found out from listening that you experience more estrogen throughout pregnancy than you do for your entire life combined! Madness.

He's four!

And yep, I had a frozen embryo transfer so I'm still on estradiol and progesterone, which continue until 12 weeks-ish, plus this cycle they added low-dose aspirin from the beginning. Also, I have an MTHFR gene variant that means I don't convert folic acid into folate properly, so I take a more bioavailable form of folate instead.
