@CheshGirl oooh hopefully that’s a good sign I’ve been having that recently as well, especially after walking. A real pressure/ache in the coccyx.

@GeeinItLaldyX that definitely sounds like a good sign!! Have you started feeling any cramps/contraction like feelings yet?

GeeinItLaldyX · 25/06/2024 18:55

@DanisEndo just back from a dog walk and started cramping on the walk!

Oooooo will keep everything crossed for you that you’re not in our still waiting club for long!

Hey girls, thought I should update since I last posted on Sunday about getting an induction.

I had the cooks balloon inserted on Sunday afternoon. I then had it removed Monday and was 4cm dilated, this meant I could go straight to the hormone drip ( which I really didn’t want however it wasn’t that bad with some pain meds ) 4 hours later I hadn’t progressed enough and baby wasn’t a fan so I had a section which was very simple.

baby girl born 25/6/24 @ 0539

so happy she’s here 12 days overdue.

Suchardchoccy · 26/06/2024 12:47

@Redheadx congratulations!! I hope you have a speedy recovery 😊 good luck to everyone still waiting!!!

MizzMarple · 26/06/2024 15:41

Congratulations @Redheadx. Hope you’re both doing well.

Beautiful baby girl born early last night!! Didn’t all go 100% to plan but the most important part - a happy healthy baby - did ♥️ obsessed to say the least and just soaking up all the cuddles and love.

Redheadx · 29/06/2024 10:22

Congratulations everyone ❤️

glasshalffull0 · 30/06/2024 02:46

our baby girl arrived 2am on Thursday the 27th June after 5 long and agonising days of labour, I knew something was off by Monday and luckily the hospital took me seriously, admitted me and started inducing me late Tuesday after no natural progress.

turned out baby’s head was a funny shaped and stopped my cervix dilating past 8cm- only found out after pushing for 2 hours while the consultant tried and failed to move my cervix out the way - I was never going to be able to deliver naturally!

had a very unsettled first night home yesterday she didn’t sleep at all 12am until 5am which was absolutely exhausting but we are in a much better feeding routine now and things are getting better

recovery has been relatively easy so far as operations go, it has been painful and uncomfortable at times but very manageable with medication and movement around the house

good luck to the ladies still waiting and remember to trust your instinct!

glasshalffull0 · 30/06/2024 02:48

A question for new mums- we’ve had a really
gold feeding routine today around -2 feeds over 20 hours but the 2 days before that it was hard and sporadic and now by baby hasn’t pooed in around 30 hours. Has this happened to anyone else and at what point should I give midwives a call?

Suchardchoccy · 30/06/2024 12:48

@glasshalffull0 congratulations!! 🥰 Glad you're both okay and absolutely trust your instincts

With my second she hadn't had a poo in like two days and the midwife said to wipe her bum to stimulate it and it worked!

A very late update.. baby boy was born on June 27th. I had a sweep on 25th and then went for an 8km walk 🙈 next day had an acupuncture session just bc why not and went into labour 2 hours later when I was eating a spicy curry haha. Got a bit of a scare seeing blood on my pad next morning so went to the hospital to be checked. They admitted me to a ward but my contractions stopped soon after. Hubby helped to restart them with some nipple stimulation 🤭 was transferred to labour ward by the evening but very slow to progress. They gave me a bath, gas and air, pethidine but I still was at 4 cm 5-6 hours later. So the waters were broken. Brrr, what a pain came after. I only managed through about 4 contractions before requesting the epidural. They also started the drip after the epidural was in place. After that it all was a very relaxing experience haha. I slept most of the time or chatted with the midwife. When I got to 10 cm they explained how to push and he was out in 10 minutes. No tears - I was surprised to be told it’s quite rare… A very positive birth experience overall. Then we had all sorts of issues establishing breastfeeding including mastitis so I didn’t really have time to post. Things seem to be a bit better now. I hope everybody is doing well ❤️

Massive congratulations.
And just like that July is well
And truly here.
Hope you're all well Mummy's and babs.
Can't believe our little girl is 5 weeks now.
She's slotted in to our lives so perfectly. Considering the shock and even now can't believe I have 2!
Today however the tiredness and in some ways loneliness has hit me like a ton of bricks.
Maybe it's the tiredness and the rainy grey weather this morning, my husband snoring next to me most the night ( part of me wants to kill him) and him having a drink at the pub after work last night (again might kill him).
I'm extremely proud of myself because I got both girls sorted on my own last night which I was dreading!
Generally though I've felt great very in control and happy... fingers crossed I'll cheer up after my morning shower! 🥰 sorry to moan Xxx

Wheeeeee · 09/07/2024 11:50

Congratulations @DanisEndo @CheshGirl @Redheadx @glasshalffull0 and @Ad12345678 ❤️❤️❤️

Hope everyone is doing well. We've had a rocky start with a big weight loss and talk of possible readmission. Much stress with expressing and topping up with EBM and formula to stay out of hospital. It turns out he had a bad tongue tie and getting that snipped has made a huge difference so 🤞🏻 he will gain weight now.

@Elmlee I hear you on the way things suddenly hit you, it can feel like a lot ❤️ Impressed you managed to get your older one sorted last night as well as looking after DD2, I haven't attempted that with my two yet!

Elmlee · 09/07/2024 12:13

Wasn't easy @Wheeeeee. We did have to delay DD1 bedtime slightly as DD2 decided she wanted a feed lol!
But DD1 was very patient and enjoyed an extra hour on the iPad and with mummy and baby.

Gosh I miss the sun already 🥹 it's horrible here today! TV and chill for us today with a few chores thrown in!

Hope you're doing ok, I was extremely proud and I managed to cook tea too! 🥹🥹

glasshalffull0 · 15/07/2024 09:28

Is there a June whatsapp group I could be added to please? I don't have many mum friends with young babies and I'm starting to feel a bit isolated and lonely, especially now DP has gone back to work!

Mumormummy · 15/07/2024 17:21

Oh good idea, not sure if there’s a whats app group but I’d be happy to join.
that advert on tv where all the mums are in the 3am club makes me sad as I’d like to be in a mums 3am club
