@Newhere1993
So exciting! Good idea about telling people who are close, I told my mum and iv already called her every day about something related! there are so many questions at this early stage. Iv been through it before but I'm same feel about how my body is changing for this pregnancy.

@MaybeBaby2024
I'm booking in for a nipt about 19th June ish , might do a 6 week scan to verify everything is in right place not booked these yet though. Didn't book in yet officially (tried!) as iv not even missed a period yet but my pink lines getting stronger Smile I'm well getting ahead of myself! x

@MaybeBaby2024 my symptoms are in full force today. I'm glad I work from home and nice dye stealer think I got mine yesterday or today.

@Elisabeth3468 they said I should be around 7 weeks on the 21st May. I would suggest 7/8 weeks just to be sure it's bit too early. The heart only starts beating around 5/6 weeks so by 7 weeks it should all be there (sac, yolk and as they call it a fetal pole).

@Newhere1993 congratulations

Nice to see the group expanding and us all sharing experiences

Newhere1993 · 29/04/2024 16:42

@Itonlytakesone I did not realise how much I would notice or how many questions I would have. I was naieve thought I'd be relaxed ... I am well and truly not 😂

I don't know about the early scan my partners really against it but there is part of me once at the 8 week mark to do one. Just got a hen do weekend, 30th birthday and family wedding to get through first 🙈

Sangels267 · 29/04/2024 19:33

Congratulations @Elisabeth3468 , our first pregnancy was IVF too and we just fell pregnant naturally this time. I'm still in shock especially after what we went through in January. It's like a miracle.

@JTL1983 I have my first scan on the 23rd May, they changed for the day before.

@DecemberRose19 congratulations! I haven't got normal pregnancy symptoms either, only feeling thirsty constantly and having really vivid dreams.

@MaybeBaby2024 I had my first dye stealer today too 🎉

@Newhere1993 congratulations! We have shared the news with parents and brothers and sisters, they are our support system so we want to share the good news too ❤️ I totally recommend a 8 week scan 🙂

It's really good to see the group expanding, can't wait for all of us to share our experiences.

Brookes19 · 29/04/2024 21:01

Hi can I join too please. Got a BFP today I'm very shocked, happy and anxious after a MMC in February. Can see lots of people have recently had losses too 🩷 my estimated due date would be 9th January 🤞🤞

Sangels267 · 29/04/2024 21:39

Congratulations @Brookes19 ❤️

Elisabeth3468 · 29/04/2024 22:45

@Sangels267 That's amazing, congratulations! Our first was ivf with icsi and my partners count is still extremely low so we were thinking we would need icsi again for our second but were going to try for a few years and save. We kept the faith but I still can't believe I'm pregnant !
How are you feeling?

Elisabeth3468 · 29/04/2024 22:48

Has everyone told their family? I am very close to my family and have told them all pretty much. I did the same with my first pregnancy. I like to have the support there. I've told a few close friends but some I haven't told yet. Partners family we are going to tell at the weekend (his immediate family) but his aunts and uncles etc will probably tell further down the line.
I think I'll have to tell work right away as well due to working in a hospital so it's high risk.

JunkJane · 30/04/2024 05:29

@Elisabeth3468 only my partner and my good friend know. I don't know why I'm hesitant to tell more people this time around, but I think I'll wait a few weeks before I share. Maybe until the first trimester is gone. I'm a textbook oversharer so this is new territory for me 🤣

JTL1983 · 30/04/2024 06:59

@Brookes19 congratulations 🎊 and totally understand your nerves. Hopefully they lessen as you progress.

@Elisabeth3468 I've told a select few and waiting to get to 12 weeks 🤞 if I didnt have my history I would tell everyone though.

WonderingAboutBabies · 30/04/2024 07:23

@Elisabeth3468 only my DH and my absolute best friend. Possibly telling parents this weekend - we're waiting on a missed period first before we do anything!

We'll tell our siblings shortly after, and the rest of my best friends as well. Everyone else we'll tell at 12 weeks ❤️

DecemberRose19 · 30/04/2024 07:32

I joined a group on here when I was expecting my first daughter (7 now!) And we ended up making a WhatsApp group a bit later down the line because netmums is so clunky to use. Probably a bit early now but would anyone be interested in this?

This group is still going and we've actually met up a few times 😊

Also, when is everyone planning to tell their employer? I was going to wait but then I will want time off for the initial appointments and, although I have no symptoms yet, if I get sickness anything like my previous pregnancy I'll probably need a bit of time off too 😅 I was like the exorcist!

Brookes19 · 30/04/2024 07:36

Thank you @Sangels267 @JTL1983
Yes hopefully my anxiety lessens as time goes on. Need to try and enjoy it 🩷
I havent told anyone except DH yet, still very early but I will definitely tell my best friend soon

Sangels267 · 30/04/2024 07:37

@DecemberRose19 I had a WhatsApp group for my first pregnancy, I was due this month and it was the best thing ever, I'm still part of the group despite what happened to me and they are a really good support. I'm happy to set up with you a community WhatsApp group so we can have different things in there (chat, bump photos, labour room (when the time comes for it)).
I'm on maternity leave but I went yesterday to inform my manager and plan my return for July.

@Elisabeth3468 me and my DH decided to share the news with the family and friends that are our support during our loss. The rest will be informed after the 12w scan.

Newhere1993 · 30/04/2024 07:50

@Elisabeth3468 we have shared with parents and siblings due to excitement but also the support. Basically I have too many questions for my partner to have to stick with on his own 😂

@DecemberRose19 I wasn't planning on telling employer until 12/14 weeks I'm just in a bit of a weird situation as currently doing my masters working on placement in a different department until summer so don't know if I'll have to stop it once I've told them 🙂 similar to you though other than dizziness, very tired and a bit of cramping haven't got noticeable symptoms yet

I will DM you regarding the group so we can share phone numbers and then we just need to share the link of the group. I'm sure more people will be arriving on this thread soon.

I will share in more detail on a closed group what happened to me but I lost my baby girl at 29w pregnant in January 😔

Itonlytakesone · 30/04/2024 08:04

How do I see my dms? I can't work it out on the app at all!

Oh my gosh I'm so so sorry 😞

😬 I haven't got the app so I don't know. Can you open mumsnet in your browser instead of the app? Or does anyone know where to check DM on the app? 😁 The DM's are on the person icon where you check the notifications too.

I'm also an over sharer and not good at hiding things 🤣 I feel pretty rotten and look like rubbish as well! So I think people would pick up on it. We won't tell wider family until 12 weeks

babydust23 · 30/04/2024 09:11

Well I caved (are we really surprised?!) and tested two days early and got my 3+ 🥳 longgg wait until the early scan on the 12th now.. 😂
