Almost 7wks for me. Sore boobs & nausea are my symptoms.
Feeling anxious still after a loss last year, and constantly checking for spotting!

Hi @Daydreamer94 - I had some cramps and bloating weeks 4 and 5, but my symptoms only kicked in properly when I was 6 weeks. Wishing you all the luck! xx

I'm 4+3 and I'm in the bloating stage, if my tummy bloats anymore it'll burst! 😂 Nice to hear that faded though! 😂

Bratzy · 22/03/2024 21:26

I'm 5 weeks (ish) and no bloating for me yet.

Bratzy · 22/03/2024 21:34

Is it a bad sign to not be bloated??

Doubt it, everyone's different! Some people have no symptoms until 6 weeks and some people have them from day 1. Nothing to worry about, I'm sure 😊

muddlingthrou · 22/03/2024 21:38

Honestly @Bratzy it's amazing how different people's pregnancies are, so definitely don't read anything into lack of symptoms. My sister sailed through pregnancy with nothing but a bump and super strong sense of smell, while I joke that I am allergic to pregnancy as it hits me so hard!

Bratzy · 22/03/2024 21:44

Thank you. I'll be happy when I get a scan (maybe lol) 💜

Potatogirlpie · 22/03/2024 22:38

Hope it's ok to jump on. I'm 4wks2 today. Super anxious after CP, I haven't even booked an appointment yet 🙈. I know it's silly but I feel like when I book it, the worst will happen 🤦🏽‍♀️

Welcome and congrats. It's an anxious time for sure. Best of luck to you 🤞🏼

GiantRoadPuzzle · 22/03/2024 23:14

I can remember feeling really bloated in my first pregnancy but not so much in this one.

Much more nausea, sickness and diarrhoea in this pregnancy and I’ve actually lost weight, whereas I’d gained 2kg by this point in my last pregnancy.

Scan is booked 3 weeks today, don’t think we will manage to fit in a private scan now. This is still so, so nerve wracking!

piechipsgravy · 23/03/2024 07:57

Happy Saturday everyone!

To be honest, I'm feeling pretty miserable at the moment. We had a Chinese last night which then meant I was up from 1.30-4am last night, first with indigestion stomach pains, then with horrendous nausea (spent 45 minutes trying to make myself sick but couldn't) then just general insomnia as I couldn't get back to sleep. I'm so exhausted constantly and every night go to bed hoping I'll actually sleep through but something seems to happen every night that means I'm usually uncomfortable, in pain or just wired with anxiety!

I'm so grateful to be pregnant and it's definitely a 'nice' problem to have but I just want to sleep!!

@piechipsgravy I feel you! For the past 2 nights I’ve has a sore stomach, bloating trapped wind. I think I’m going to have to lay some foods (spicy especially) think my ibs is kicking off and it feels similar to the pains I got with ectopic and my brain can’t cope!

I’m feeling better today but yesterday it felt so tight at sore across my pelvis.
im only eating beige today!!!
hope you feel better soon xx

@Daydreamer94 my symptoms were sore boobs, dry mouth and a few mild waves of sickness and increased appetite. X

Jellybelly888 · 23/03/2024 08:18

@Bratzy I am mega thirsty too! It must be a pregnant thing… although when I was breastfeeding with my DS, I have never known thirst like it! It was a minimum of 6 litres of water a day job!

Jellybelly888 · 23/03/2024 08:20

@piechipsgravy it's so difficult isn’t it, our bodies are just reacting so differently to things at the moment and you don’t actually know what the reaction will be until you eat it. I had a Greggs sausage roll yesterday and I had the most horrendous stomach ache and heartburn! How are you feeling this morning? X

SouthwestSis · 23/03/2024 08:32

Hi and welcome @Potatogirlpie
I know that feeling, I'm here at 5+4 today having had a chemical and a loss at 7w in the last 6 months, it's so hard. Last time I booked and then had to ring a few days later to cancel it and had to leave a voicemail as it wasn't answered by a human, that was tough.

I have managed to book again this time although first appointment not until 10+5 so my midwifery service must be going through a busy time!

I feel you all on the bloating, but I'm finding myself quite hungry too (not sure if it's just that constant eating helps the nausea) so I've slipped into a 4 smaller meals a day sort of pattern and not eating anything after 7pm

piechipsgravy · 23/03/2024 08:33

@H20202 @Jellybelly888 I'm feeling loads better this morning (just tired!) so have learnt my lesson about either a) eating Chinese or b) eating so much of it.

I'm finding with this pregnancy I'm very nauseous a lot but I've always struggled to vomit even when not pregnant, so I am just doing loads of sicky burps. Last night I couldn't get them out and DH had to rub my upper back and burp me like a newborn 😂 all good practice I guess!

H20202 · 23/03/2024 08:40

@piechipsgravy yeah I’m not actually sick much just lots of wind and burps. So attractive! Hopefully you can have a nap today!

im going to keep a little food diary to see what’s kicking me off too, sadly I think cheese may be up there and I absolutely love chilli and onions and they’re also on the bad list I think 😩

@Potatogirlpie welcome ☺️☺️

CurlyWurly1991 · 23/03/2024 08:42

@piechipsgravy oh your disrupted night sounds awful 😞 I too always get the nausea but none of the satisfaction of actually being sick!! It is really frustrating.
last pregnancy (MMC) I had a crazy craving for Chinese food and still have lots of the ingredients in the house. Of course I went off it like the next day and couldn’t think of anything more repulsive 😆
this time one of the first signs I should test was I really craved egg mayonnaise (don’t usually like it) and served it alongside gnocchi and pesto. My family were a bit confused 🤨

y0rkier0se · 23/03/2024 09:00

Happy Saturday ☺️ DP is away on a stag do this weekend and normal me would really miss him, pregnant me is so thankful for the night’s sleep without him snoring 😂 I feel like I’m sleeping much lighter & waking up much easier during pregnancy so last night was the first full night’s sleep in a while. My friend came for dinner last night with her 10 week old so that was lovely 🥹 No idea how I’m going to fill the rest of the weekend - with having being so sick I hadn’t made any plans but now I’m feeling a bit better I’m thinking I should go out & do something, not sure what though! Has anybody got anything nice planned? x

Acidburn · 23/03/2024 09:21

Hi ladies!
First pregnancy, currently 6 weeks.
I have horrendous bloating, my belly is sticking out and the scales say I gained half stone in the last week... is that normal?

muddlingthrou · 23/03/2024 10:10

@y0rkier0se - we're moving house on Thursday and have left everything to the last minute, agh!!! So just desperately trying ti get organised in between bouts of nausea/being sick 🤦🏽‍♀️ excited though!

1yearplan · 23/03/2024 10:10

Morning ladies - I'm with you on the bloating. I thought initially it was that I'd just gained weight, but I'm thinking it's more likely bloating now. Pasta seems to be a bit of a trigger for making it worse.
@y0rkier0se oooh I love a day to myself. I'd probably go for a walk to the shops, pick some good snacks and then watch whatever I wanted to on tv!

Sunandstars28 · 23/03/2024 10:25

Morning ladies! 6+2 today and my goodness the sickness has kicked in, struggled to keep dinner down last night and now breakfast is threatening to come up! Weirdly craving grapes though 😅 I've got my in-laws coming to see us this afternoon - don't know how I'm going to keep able to hide my retching from them!

We were planning to keep the secret from everyone until 12 weeks but have decided to tell parents and siblings Easter weekend. I'm already feeling so nervous to tell everyone!

Thank you for the new thread!

I’m currently very anchors about everything after losses in the past. But I’m on progesterone and hoping all is good. I’m still so early- only just 4 weeks and wishing time away!

Also working and chasing a 16 month old is wiping ALL of my energy, so I’m already in bed by 7:15!

I feel you! I have a 15 month old and she keeps me busy! She's also not a good sleeper so the exhaustion is building with multiple night wake ups. Are you still BF? I am and the nipple sensitivity has really kicked in over the last few days which is making BF very challenging and sore :(

y0rkier0se · 23/03/2024 10:35

Ahh good luck with the move! @muddlingthrou

@1yearplan I’ve got Fat Friends on Netflix currently 😂 x
